I'm Trying To Go Broke, So Why Do I Keep Getting Richer?!

Chapter 111: I did what?

"Now that... is fun." Leo said, as his eyes stared in Fiona's eyes like trying to see in the depths of his soul.

Leo slowly raised his right hand, and tapped Fiona's forehead. "I really look forward to seeing more such expressions from you, Lady Fiona. And don't worry, I'll give you plenty of opportunities to show even more magnificent expressions."

Suddenly, another beep resounded, and Fiona's eyes widened even more. Not just one branch, but two branches were struck, almost simultaneously.

Even her Family was sending her messages to inform her as the attack was being described as a terror attack.

"You... You did this!" Fiona snapped back to her senses, as she grabbed Leo by his collar.

"I did what? I have no idea what you're talking about." Leo answered using the same words that she had spoken to him just earlier.

Her words made him sound innocent, but the clear mocking gaze in his eyes wasn't hidden. Or rather, it was intentionally revealed to Fiona.

It was as if his eyes were trying to say, "I know what you did. You know what I did. But you can't prove a single thing, just like I couldn't prove anything. Now, it's just you and me."

"Do you know who you're messing with? I can make you disappear in an instant, just like I..."

Fiona didn't finish her sentence, but Leo understood what she was trying to say.

Leo raised his right hand and lightly patted Fiona's cheeks, "Give it your best, little girl. Because even if I might not be serious about most things, I am definitely serious about the fate of the Lionel Family."

"So take me out if you can. If you can't, then I'll be giving our Space Sector, and the entire galaxy, the greatest fireworks show that they have seen."

"You!" Fiona's grip around Leo's collars tightened, to the point that she was almost about to choke him.

Meanwhile Leo checked his clock again, "By the way, I left a gift at your home as well. I hope you will like it."

Fiona's eyes immediately widened as she quickly released Leo's collars, her expressions going pale.

"Stop this right now! If anything happens to my family, I won't forgive you!" Fiona roared.

"We are long past the point of forgiveness," Leo said, before he quickly shook his head.

"Oops, wrong answer. Let me try again." Leo said again, showing a naive and innocent expression."I have no idea what you're talking about."

"You! I will not forget this." Fiona suddenly ran past Leo as she used her device to send messages to all her people to check every corner of her home.

At the same time, she also rushed to get back.

"Don't worry. I will not let you forget it even if you wanted to." Leo lightly waved his hand, watching Fiona leave. "I hope you do make it in time!"

Soon, Fiona disappeared from his view, leaving Leo standing behind alone, with a crowd of guests leaving the main hall approaching towards the exit.

"Hmm, now back to the main problem. Where the heck did Kaelus go?" Leo placed his hand on his waist and looked around, trying to guess the direction.

"If I was a skeleton that bid a trillion credits on a thing I didn't want, with the money I didn't have, where would I hide myself?" There were three paths before him.

One that led to the toilets, which was definitely a good hiding place but not a permanent solution.

The other was the exit, where one could try to sneak away from. However that was also easier said than done. And the third was the VIP Rooms, where he could disguise as someone's entourage and leave safely.

The third option made more sense to him, but could Kaelus truly take out someone's entourage in such a short time.

"No, they are three people. So he would have to make it three, and it's almost impossible for him to use the same convincing disguise on other people. Timmy's presence would make it more problematic for him."

"In this case, the garden? No matter how young, he is still the bloodline of that person. Can a mere barrier of an auction house stop him?"

With that thought, Leo also turned around and took the exit path as well, which further split into the true exit and the garden.

"He said he was going to freshen up. And then he came here to argue with a woman, and now he's heading to the garden? I knew something was wrong with him. He's suspicious."

While keeping a large distance from Leo, Lyra was still following him carefully.

Meanwhile with increased pace, Leo soon reached the garden, which was not a small place by any definition.

It was like a vast forest, but one that was filled with flowers instead of trees. However, some of those flowers were even larger than proper trees.

"Timmy? Kaelus? Are you here?" Leo called out, raising his voice as loud as he could.

Unfortunately, at the end of the day, he was still a human who couldn't use magic to artificially enhance his voice, letting it reach every corner of this place.

He couldn't even use any specific abilities to sense the presence of other people in the great surroundings like many other high species could do.

That left him with only one option. It was to run around the place, trying to cover as much of it as possible in the shortest time possible, before Kaelus could actually escape.

"Kaelus? Timmy? Can you hear me? It's Leo!"

Leo called out, running through the grass towards the garden that was growing more and more dense with the flowers.

Since he couldn't guess their whereabouts, he tried to get to the farthest end, assuming it was the place selected by Kaelus.

Meanwhile at the farthest end of the garden, Kaelus had successfully managed to create a hole in the barrier.

And the first person to attempt an escape, was of course Reven, like a test subject.

"Umm? Your Highness, is it my misconception or the hole is suddenly smaller?" Raven was only halfway through the hole when the barrier healed to some extent, wrapped tightly around his waist bone.

A few seconds later, Leo saw something strange from the corner of his sight. There were people!

He slowly came to a stop and said, "There they are!"

As he came closer, his expressions grew weird as he saw Kaelus, pushing Reven's ass, trying to make him pass through the hole in the barrier.

"Wait, that voice, is that you Leo?" Kaelus suddenly turned around, leaving Reven hanging in the barrier like a forgotten sack of rice.
