"Blaze!?" Leo exclaimed. "Is it really you?!'
"It is me. I didn't expect to see you here." Blaze made his way through the crowd to appear next to the genius of earth.
"Is it over?" Leo weakly asked. "Are the scary people really gone?"
Blaze stared at him, his brow furrowed in genuine concern. He stepped forward, putting a hand on Leo's shoulder.
"Leo, take a breath. It's okay. They've left. I know it was your first experience with something like this, and you're overwhelmed. But everything is over."
Leo let out a long sigh, almost collapsing against a nearby decorative pillar.
"Oh, thank the stars. My life flashed before my eyes when those strange beams of light fell from the sky. I thought I would never be able to return to earth."
Lightning, who was standing right behind Blaze, squinted at Leo. "Wait, why did you come out here? Wouldn't it be safer to stay inside?"
"Safer inside with all the strong people gathered here? I'm a scientist and a businessman. I know that this place is safer than inside!" Leo lied with the confidence of a man who had never told the truth in his life.
"Everyone there is hiding under the table. Can I really expect anyone to save me there? Although it was scary, I ran all the way here. But I didn't expect that the enemy was right outside."
Leo's eyes were filled with pure horror, as if he could still remember that scary moment. It wasn't as if he was the masked bastard. He was just a pure ordinary innocent human who was caught in this mess.
Meanwhile, a few yards away, Leader Viserl was trying to blend into the scenery. He was currently pretending to be very interested in a piece of charred rubble. Every time someone looked in his direction, he let out a fake cough.
'If I just keep walking,' Viserl thought, sweat dripping down his nose, 'Maybe they won't remember that I was close to that masked envoy, and I was the one who spread this news of lotus.'
Back in the garden, Blaze was still looking at Leo with a mixture of relief. "I am glad that you are safe."
"Ah, by the way... Can you give me a lift back?" Leo awkwardly stated, especially since his ship was temporarily given to Kaelus to get out of here.
"Ah, Certainly." Blaze nodded. "It would be my pleasure. Also, I should mention that the scientist that survived the flames, has come back to his senses. Maybe you can finally meet him now?"
Leo didn't answer right away, as he glanced at the two people standing atop the roof.
"I hope my actions don't cause a big mess. Then again, it's not as if we won't be returning that kidnapped prince safely. Although this kidnapping hurts Nephilim's ego, it wouldn't let them cause a great war after getting the prince back, right?"
Leo had a lot of questions in his mind. For a moment, he even regretted the fact that he didn't have an ability that could help him read someone's mind.
For now, he felt like he was stuck in a game of chess where he had to guess every possible future move that the enemy would make, especially since the fate of the entire world could be on line.
There was also one more problem. It was Voldred.
Leo had brought a big problem straight to Voldred's door. Could he simply justify it by the excuse that he was trying to save the prince?
'He should be more understanding, right? After all, I did it to protect his son. In any case, it was his son who caused this mess. So why should I take all the blame?c
In the end, he simply shook his head lightly.
'If worse comes to worst, maybe I can shed a few tears. They should forgive me for that, right?'
After a long period of silence, Selene finally lowered her head. Her eyes were still calm, impossible to read what was going through them.
Just then, she lowered her head, and looked at the crowd.
"Hmm?" A frown appeared on her forehead as she caught the sight of Leo, who appeared to be engaged in conversation with Blaze, where only Blaze was talking.
Just then, she felt another presence behind her. She slowly looked back, and saw the person that had appeared behind her.
Leo's eyes temporarily widened as he saw the person that had appeared next to Selene and Valeroth.
'It is that bastard!' Leo exclaimed, his mind thrown in a disarray.
Even though he hadn't seen that person clearly, he had roughly seen his clothes, and his shoes.
The person who had appeared now, was none other than the person that had struck his head.
Just the sight of that person made Leo's head hurt, remembering that strike.
What surprised him the most still wasn't his appearance, even though it made it appear that Valeroth had lied to him about that person's escape. Or maybe that person had indeed escaped, only to return again after everything was over.
What shocked Leo the most was that person's face. Now that his body had healed and his vision wasn't blurry, he could see that person's face from a distance.
The person wasn't wearing a mask. It was as if he wasn't even trying to hide his face from the world.
But still, it was that face, which made Leo's pupils tremble. That face... Even in his wildest dreams, he couldn't have expected that appearance.
It was Timmy! Or rather, the person looked just like Timmy. The only difference was that his physique wasn't as frail, but his face was completely identical.
His hair was a little longer than Timmy, but that was the extent of difference between the two.
If he had to find another difference that wasn't physical, it was the look in that person's eyes.
Timmy's eyes were filled with hesitation, as if he was scared and tired of the mess life threw at him all the time.
However, this person had a clear and calm look on his eyes, like nothing could really phase him.
