Leo turned around slowly, his eyes landing on the figure standing a few meters away.
The robber was wearing a black ski mask that looked like it had been bought from a cheap store, and his clothes were a mismatch that made it seem like he was trying really hard to stand out.
"You... you ignore me?" The robber's voice rose. "I said, hand over your valuables! Or I will show you no mercy!"
Behind his mask, Reven was growing more and more confused, especially at Leo's lack of reaction
'Why isn't he scared? Why is he looking at me like I'm a clown performing at a party? Scream! Panic! Give the Prince his cue!'
Leo sighed, checking his watch again. "Listen, I'm on a tight schedule. If you want money, I can write you a check when I get back."
"A check?" Reven froze. Even though it was his first time on earth, he had read the memories of a few humans and gathered some knowledge about this planet.
If he was really a robber, why would he take a check that left a paper trail! Was this human stupid or just incredibly arrogant?
'Wait, arrogant! That's good! The Prince wants an arrogant friend!'
"I don't want your charity!" Reven shouted, trying to summon a ball of dark energy in his palm but quickly canceling it, remembering he had to use physical force.
He couldn't appear too extraordinary, even though he had to be threatening. He raised a fist instead. "I am a ruthless criminal! Fear me!"
He lunged forward, throwing a punch that was so slow Leo could have made a cup of tea before dodging it.
Leo didn't even move his feet. He simply tilted his head to the left.
Reven's fist sailed through the empty air. The momentum carried the fully covered undead mage forward, and he stumbled, barely managing to catch himself before face-planting into the street.
Even though Reven had taken a disguise, he was still an undead mage from within. He wasn't someone who had any expertise in hand to hand combat.
If he was to really fight, why would he rely on such brute ways instead of just blowing up the enemy with a spell.
"Terrible form," Leo commented, sounding like a disappointed gym teacher. "You're putting too much weight on your front foot."
He even felt a little bad for this robber. If Leo wanted, he could've just had Voldred's sword teleport to him from the Battleship in space, but he truly didn't feel the threat from this person.
He wasn't sure if it was because he was brave, or if being in the presence of Blaze, Voldred, and others had simply raised his fear tolerance.
"Shut up!" Reven turned around, flailing his arms. "I am trying to rob you! Respect the profession!"
"Halt right there, villain!"
Suddenly, a thunderous shout echoed through the street.
Leo raised an eyebrow.
From behind a young man leaped out. He landed between Leo and Reven, striking a pose that looked suspiciously like it was copied from a comic book cover.
The newcomer was handsome, suspiciously so. He had blonde hair that shimmered even though there was no sunlight, and his clothes looked like he was simply rolling in mud before coming here.
"To attack an innocent person in broad daylight! Have you no shame?" Kaelus shouted, pointing a finger at Reven. "I, Kaelus, a humble and poor aspiring student with absolutely no money, shall not let this injustice stand!"
Leo stared at the duo blankly. 'Did he just introduce himself as poor in the first sentence? Who does that?'
Reven, seeing his master finally arrive, let out a sigh of relief inside his mind. Out loud, however, he let out a dramatic gasp.
"Oh no! ! He had someone to help him?" Reven yelled. "This is bad!"
"Take this!" Kaelus yelled, throwing a fist toward Reven.
He didn't even touch Reven. His fist stopped a solid six inches away from Reven's face.
"Arghhh! The force! It's too strong!" Reven screamed, flinging himself backward as if he had been hit by a truck.
He performed a triple backflip, something no ordinary thug should be able to do, and landed perfectly on his feet ten meters away.
"I shall remember this! You... you poor but handsome youth! You have thwarted me today!" Reven shook his fist, then turned and sprinted away at a speed that would have put Olympic athletes to shame.
"I will come back for my revenge! I will find you! Just wait for me, you handsome bastard!" His scream echoed in the distance as he was running away.
"Huh, what's that?" Suddenly, he looked above and saw a giant object flying towards him.
"Whaa-" he couldn't even react on time when the giant object crashed on top of him, crushing him beneath.
In the distance, Leo couldn't help but facepalm himself. Especially since the large object was none other than Timmy's ship that had just crashed again.
It didn't just crash, but it crashed on top of the robber, if he could even be called that.
'Did he kill him?' Leo scratched the back of his head.
Kaelus had 'saved' Leo, and he was waiting for Leo's gratitude when he saw Reven being crushed by the ship. His face went blank.
Was this also part of the script that Reven prepared for him? He could only go with that theory, even though he found the ending quite weird.
'Since he did this, he must have a reason. I can't lose the chance that he prepared for me.' Kaelus thought, as he straightened his back.
He turned to Leo to ask if he was fine, and to show his worries.
Unfortunately, Leo was not there anymore. It took him a moment to realize that Leo had already reached the ship.
The door of Timmy's ship opened, and a frail young man stepped out, appearing dizzy.
Leo reached out his hand to support Timmy, asking, "Are you alright?"
"Please tell me I didn't kill a person," Timmy said, still feeling like he was dreaming.
