I'm Trying To Go Broke, So Why Do I Keep Getting Richer?!

Chapter 92: Will he become my father next?

Leo had made up his mind about the next direction of the Alpha Corp. After branching into the Elixir Industry and High Tech Clothing Industry, Alpha Corp was going to enter a third field...

Alpha Corp was going to do something massive. It was an industry that was almost impossible to enter.

First, the financial burden itself was almost impossible for most people to bear, but more importantly, the paperwork, and the legal permission needed to enter this industry was hard to receive.

To open a local bank that was only limited to one world, was still easy and only needed the permission of that planet's authority. But to open an intergalactic bank, things were a lot more complicated.

Not only did they need permission from the government on the planet where the bank was going to be established, but they also needed approval from the Galactic Union's representative.

"How good would it be if I could just give a call to Viserl as Necropolis Envoy and have him handle the paperwork. If I ask him another favor for Leo Vanderlen, no matter how stupid he might be, he would be able to guess a few things.

Even the help I asked the first time was risky, and that excuse can't be used again.

"This thing, I will have to handle as Leo Vanderlen, and not as Necropolis Envoy."

"But there's still one problem to be solved..."

Although he had a rough direction, the problems weren't few. Even if he somehow received all the permissions he needed, he still needed funds.

To run an intergalactic bank that would steal even a single client from the Lionel Family, he needed wealth equivalent to the entire earth's value.

After all, the major clients of the Lionel Family were either warlords of old middle worlds, or space pioneers that needed massive loans to continue their exploration of banished realms.

It was this relationship that gave Lionel Family their influence, while also bringing in profits as interest that they could use further.

The Lionel Family had a history of thousands of years, and they had reached this point one step at a time, starting from the smallest player in the sector.

To reach that step without grinding for centuries, was easier said than done.

"The only problem is that I have a mere ten million credits in my personal account. At ten million, those clients would die laughing at me. No matter how shameless I am, I don't want to be laughed at."

"I need urgent money... But after the Lionel Family's threat, I won't even get a loan. Tch, my plan is to give out loans and I'm still thinking about taking them? This is pathetic."

Leo was pacing back and forth, trying to think of a way to do these things. In the end, there was only one thing that came to mind.

"Urgh... Do I need to... I mean... It might be the best option to get the things I need for both parts of my plan, but to go back to that place... Last time, I barely managed to fool them. If they find out what I'm actually planning to do, how would they react?"

"Argh! Fuck it! I'll do it! No risk, no gain! No profit, no pain!"

Leo took a deep breath. With slight hesitation, he walked back and set a course for his next destination. A place that he really didn't want to visit.

....

An unknown amount of time had passed before the massive Necropolis Ship landed. It was the first time since Leo had received that ship that he had actually landed this thing, instead of letting it hover in outer space.

However, that was also because all the other planets he had visited before were smaller than the ship.

The ship's gate opened, and Leo stepped out. His lips carried a wry smile as he landed on the ground and approached the place before him.

A few hours later, he reached his destination... almost. With a deep breath, he pushed the door before him, and the door started opening. Of course, he wasn't the one who opened the door.

"Brother! I'm back! Did you miss me?" Leo yelled, as soon as the door opened.

His eyes immediately went to the skeleton that was standing behind the throne, carrying a massive sword on his back.

"Brother... Weren't we friends the last time you left?" The Skeleton Swordsman looked weirdly as he turned to the Skeleton Mage next to him.

"Do you get happy to meet your friend or sad?" Leo asked the same question as he asked last time.

"O-of course happy," The Skeleton Swordsman Ossius answered immediately, remembering the hint that Skeleton Mage Malakor had given him last time.

Once again, he felt proud that he could answer without looking for help, even if this was the same question as before.

"And so you get super happy to meet your brother or not?" Leo asked, looking sad.

This time, Ossius subconsciously looked at Malakor, again wondering what was the right answer. After all, he didn't have a brother. So he didn't know.

Malakor nodded as a hint, although he again felt that strange feeling he had the last time. She just couldn't put her finger on it.

"You're saying you're not super happy to see me even after I came from so far away?" Leo's head dropped, as his eyes became the epitome of sadness.

"N-not at all! I'm super happy to see you." Ossius answered with a guilty look.

"You are? That doesn't make us brothers?" Leo asked, his eyes lit up.

"I-I suppose..." Ossius tilted his head sideways and answered.

"So Brother Ossius, where is His Majesty? Why don't I see him on the throne?"

Leo kept walking closer to the empty throne, which looked like a giant mountain before him.

"He... He is a little busy. We won't be back for some time. Did you have something to report?" Ossius asked.

"Could it be that you found the prince?" Malakor tapped her staff on the ground as he questioned Leo.

"I did get a few clues about His Highness. I am sure that it won't take long before I bring him back. But that's also why I came here. To find the Prince faster, I might need a little support from you, Brother Ossius, Brother Malakor?"

'Huh? When did I become his brother? Is something wrong with my common sense? Have I been in this place for so long that I forgot how things work?'

In two meetings, he went from a stranger to a friend to a brother. Will he become my father the next time we meet?' Malakor almost fainted at the thought, and quickly shook his head.

He quickly shook off the thought to the back of his head and questioned Leo further.

"What support do you need?" Malakor asked.

"Umm... You wouldn't happen to have any treasures and rare materials that are insignificant and useless to Necropolis, would you?" Leo carried an innocent look on his face and asked.
