[Jin, check it out. So, I finished the barrier and added the Láspinium to it. Just as you hoped, the barrier became radioactive from the element.] Jess informed him.
It had been a few days since his talk with Mrs Horton, and Jin was fast at work with his projects to make sure the world doesn't get destroyed.
"That's great. Activate the barrier once you get the opportunity to do so. It's better to be safe than sorry."
[Way ahead of you, pal. The drones are already in space. Go ahead and push this button.]
She created a button on his power kit, and Jin pressed it. A screen appeared in front of him, showing him the barrier being activated, covering the whole planet.
[It's drawing power from the sun as well, so it doesn't need to charge.]
"Awesome. Alright, what about our backup weapon? I finished the blueprints for that some time ago. Any luck on it?"
[Yeah. It's done. But it isn't as strong as the Dimensional Slicer.]
"That's fine. As long as the power output is enough, I can enhance it on my own. Besides, you said that the dimensional slicer uses the powers of women, right? It's natural that our weapon won't be as powerful with such little time to build it."
[I feel sorry for those women.]
"Don't be. They know what they're signing up for. Besides, there are millions of Aegis Corps agents who are probably on standby for that specific role. I know for a fact that their sleep feels good as fuck."
Jin connected the space footage to his computer screen and sat down to watch it.
"Oh, how's the space defenses?"
[Eveything is primed and ready to start blasting Láspi left and right. They're even armed with Láspinium.]
"Sweet. Now, all we need to do is get the schematics from the Vault, build a super weapon, and then we're ready to go. I'll start looking for it now."
[Cool. I'll be with you and here at the same time.]
"Oh yeah, you will be with me, ha."

"I can feel it! The power, my evolution! I can feel it!" The Hive mind managed to absorb the strand of itself that was nearly killed by Jin with Láspinium radiation.
It removed the contaminated parts of the strand, absorbing everything else. Once it did, the Láspi underwent enormous changes.
No longer was it susceptible to lightning, electricity, or anything with excited electrons. No longer was it too weak to enter the atmosphere of a planet, and no longer was it bound to the planet it was currently on.
"To me!" It extended its arms, absorbing every last strand of itself that was on the planet. Its body grew, power increased, and it set its eyes on the planet it wanted to conquer. It became an omega Láspi.
"Ahhh, that, annoying, pitiful world. No longer will it slip from my hands. No longer will I fail. It WILL be mine!" The Omega Láspi took off into space, destroying the ground underneath its feet.
Once it broke through the atmosphere, it flew toward the large blue planet with a maniacal grin on its face.
The humanoid body it had was simply out of convenience, and it didn't need to take this form. However, there was one thing that it learned from its strands, and it was that doing things in a group would be too inconvenient, so it decided to do everything on its own.
When it arrived in the inner planetary solar system, it set its eyes on the moon.
"You shall be first to fall." It held up a finger, light sparking into existence, but then that light turned dark, not visible in the vacuum of space. The Láspi pointed its finger toward the moon, and a few seconds later, half of it exploded.
There were defences in place that softened the explosion, but the damage was still catastrophic.
There was a bright side to this, and it was that the part of the moon it attacked was the so-called 'light side of the moon,' and that was where the Aegis Corps bases of every country were located.
Still, this didn't mean that there weren't any casualties or injuries.
In each of the bases, those who were in high command gave orders to get the injured to safety, check up on the civilians on the other side of the moon, and see what caused the explosion.
Trinity happened to peek up, looking out of the glass dome she was in, and saw a person floating above them.
"Quickly! Get out of here! This is a code red! I repeat, this is a code red! Put the whole moon on lockdown!" She ordered. Then, she left and flew into space.
The Láspi was about to attack again, but his power vanished.
"Hmm?"
"Who the fuck are you?" In the heat of the moment, Trinity asked for the identity of the person, not realizing that she was in space, so sound didn't travel.
The Láspi turned to her and smiled. 'Trinity Blackshore. Your powers would be a great addition to my own.'
Trinity turned around to see who spoke to her, but then she realized that the voice came from her head.
"Who are you? Why did you attack our base?" She asked mentally.
'I'm not obligated to tell you.' The Láspi responded, preparing for another attack.
"Well, then, I have no reason to spare your life." A black mist oozed from her body, barely visible in space unless the sun shone on her.
'Yes, show me how powerful you are.' The Láspi smirked
Trinity wasted no time and extended her hands, vaporizing the Láspi instantly. Her powers of destruction ate away at anything she wished. However, the Láspi started to reform its body and appeared before her once more.
It was as if its body was recreated by space itself, and there was no damage it suffered in sight.
"Y-You're a Láspi!" She knew that this would be a dangerous fight. She didn't understand how the Láspi could regenerate after being erased, but that wouldn't stop her from protecting her people.
'No, I'm THE Láspi!' It attacked.
