A large clawed hand emerged first, followed slowly by the rest of its body as it crawled out from the wreckage.
This demonic creature looked like a massive brown wolf that stood on its hind legs. Two heavy horns protruded from its head, and its eyes were like pits of glowing red. Once it stood at its full height, it was almost three meters tall.
At this point, some of the cadets who had been watching began to panic.
Not many people knew about Levi's bonded ability, Ruined World. Unless it was a situation that absolutely called for it, Levi rarely used it. For this reason, seeing such a terrifying creature in the grove sent a wave of terror through those who were not really of high level. As for those who were strong and weren't afraid of something like this, they began to be cautious instead.
One cadet muttered in disbelief, "Is that Levi? Since when could he do something like that?"
Another girl snapped back, "Is that what's important right now? If we don't do something, it's either those siblings destroy the entire barracks, or worse. If they start throwing around their skills and end up hitting a branch, we'll end up with two trees in this barracks and the death of two cadets we need for the Red Bridge!"
"What should we do then? I mean, it's not like we can just ask them to politely stop and they'll just stop."
"Someone get Alicia here now!"
Three cadets quickly left the vicinity to go get Alicia.
At the same time, Levi let out a loud roar that sent a small shockwave of flames from his feet. Celeste tilted her head, and in the next instant, she lunged with her hand extended like a spear, aiming straight for his throat. But just before she reached him, Levi extended his hand and caught her fist.
Without slowing, she brought her other fist around in a blurring arc. But once again, Levi caught her fist. Now, both of them were in a deadlock, their massive forms straining against each other as the ground beneath them began to crack.
Growling, Celeste snapped her leg back, and with the strength of a battering ram, she kicked Levi in the crotch.
The air left his lungs, and while he was doubled over in pain, Celeste balled her fist then swung it with everything she had, right under his jaw. The impact snapped his head back and sent him crashing into a shelter.
Luckily, the cadets that had been in that shelter had come out when the fight started.
Levi lifted his head, but before he could rise, Celeste lunged into the air and landed on him, then she began pinning his arms down with her knees while raining a barrage of heavy blows onto his chest.
While this was happening, a girl with long black hair and red eyes hurriedly joined the other cadets who were watching the scene. Beside her, Princess Aurora also arrived looking a bit tired.
Aurora turned to the black-haired girl and urged, "Hurry up and seal them in, Alicia."
Alicia frowned. "Uhm… I don't think I can. That looks like it's a bit too much for me."
Aurora immediately pointed at Levi on the ground. While Celeste continued raining down blows, Levi opened his mouth, and the red light deep in his throat began to glow as if he were preparing to fire something.
Aurora spoke again in an even more serious tone. "You have to try, or things are going to get much worse."
Alicia hesitated, but then Aurora added, her voice bordering on panic now. "Come on, Alicia! If that stuff leaves his mouth, only the gods know what will happen!"
Alicia sighed resignedly and stepped forward. She quickly raised one hand up and kept the other down, and then she began to rotate them both in a slow, steady clockwise motion.
Almost immediately, invisible ripples ran through the air and the entire grove before everything settled.
To the onlookers, it looked like nothing happened. But actually, something did happen.
Alicia's ability allowed her to create a mirrored pocket of reality. She essentially made a fake copy of the grove and pulled them into it, so that even if they destroyed everything inside, the real world remained completely untouched.
At that moment, a massive beam of concentrated red fire shot out of Levi's mouth. It was so powerful that after blasting past Celeste, it tore through the trees and soared high into the fake sky.
Celeste's entire upper body was instantly vaporized by the blast, and her lifeless lower half teetered for a second before collapsing into the dirt.
Levi stood up and flexed his claws, then he turned angrily to his sister, who was already beginning to regenerate. He took a few steps toward the corpse, and the moment the head started to reform, he raised his massive leg and brought it down, crushing the head to a bloody pulp. Then he raised his leg again and began stomping down on her torso with systematic, bone-breaking force.
Well, actually, unlike Celeste, who lost her sense of reasoning the longer a fight went on, Levi on the other hand could stay perfectly lucid. He did not have the crazy regenerative abilities of his sister, and right now, he knew that the only way to win against her was to completely drain her mana before she dealt him damage he could not recover from.
And the quickest way to get her to completely drain her mana was to force her to automatically regenerate entire limbs and organs over and over again.
Levi dropped down on top of her, gripped her arm, and tore it off before tossing it aside. He grabbed her head while it was still struggling to reform, yanked it back, and smashed it repeatedly into the cracked earth.
He seized her other hand and snapped it at the wrist before ripping the entire limb from her shoulder. Then, he plunged his hand deep into her chest and ripped out her heart.
Finally, he threw the heart aside and stood over his sister's mangled remains, before letting out a piercing roar that shook the entire fake grove.
