"Ta Ta'er tried to kill Wu Yati?!"

Jiang Chen expressed his surprise and then said with a bitter smile, "I'm having some trouble on my end. Come to a spot 500 meters beside the mountainous jungle road to pick me up. Mr. Xi'er and his people are here; you can follow their aura to find me."

"Alright, I'm on my way!" Yan Hu responded without any delay.

After hanging up the phone, Jiang Chen handed it back to Xi'er and said softly, "Chief Judge Xi'er, could you release your aura to guide Hu Zi here, please?"

"Ta Ta'er wanted to kill Wu Yati? What's going on?" Jiang Chen sat down on the ground with a puzzled muttering.

"It must be a power struggle," Xi'er spoke softly, "According to the intelligence we've gathered, Ta Ta'er is the liaison between the Dark Church and Wu Yati, and Li'er is oblivious to the Dark Church's affairs. Therefore, if Wu Yati were dead, Ta Ta'er would be the most likely candidate the Dark Church would support to take over."

Jiang Chen immediately understood and nodded slowly.

"Mr. Jiang, are you confident you can control Wu Yati after you save him?" Ha'er looked at Jiang Chen with doubt.

Jiang Chen was taken aback for a moment: "Control? Why would I want to control him?"

"This... if you don't control him, why save him?" The puzzlement on Ha'er's face deepened.

"Haha!" Jiang Chen chuckled and said, "Vice Leader Ha'er, not everyone needs to be controlled to be useful!"

After a pause, Jiang Chen continued meaningfully, "Like with you and me, if you find me useful, would you think about controlling me?"

Ha'er and others were taken aback and their gazes flickered, save for Xi'er, who gently shook his head, "No! We wouldn't think about controlling you, and we couldn't control you even if we wanted to."

Jiang Chen smiled slightly, glanced at Ha'er and the others, and continued, "Saving Wu Yati, I just want to have a channel through which the Dark Church has infiltrated the Flame Dragon at my disposal. That way, I can learn about some members of the Dark Church who have infiltrated the Flame Dragon. "Then alright, Vice Leader Ha'er, and the three of you, the information I'm about to share might earn each of you significant merit," Jiang Chen said with deep meaning, "So, I hope in the future, you can lend Chief Judge Xi'er a hand when he's in trouble!"

Ha'er and the others were taken aback and then suddenly realized the significance of what Jiang Chen was about to disclose; their expressions became very serious.
