Chapter 0601: A Crushing Victory

Just as his voice, filled with a mocking chill, had barely faded, the two S+ Peak Paladins behind him suddenly raised their Holy Hammers. A terrifying and blinding Power of Light erupted from their bodies, roaring like furious waves and illuminating the night itself. A small area was instantly turned into daylight.

"Do it. Kill him!" Dumbledore commanded once again, this time with a direct order to kill.

"It is our honor to serve you, esteemed Great Mage Dumbledore," the two S+ Peak Paladins shouted in unison, their voices brimming with a Divine Holy power.

Then they moved. Their bodies surged with energy, crackling like thunder and lightning. With hammers in hand, one to the left and one to the right, they lunged at Chen Fei, intending to kill him in a pincer attack. In that instant, the Power of Light surged out like a tidal wave, blanketing the sky. Wherever it passed, the air seemed to boil away, causing the onlookers nearby to reveal expressions of terror.

This was especially true for the Blood Clan. Under the oppressive might of the terrifying Power of Light, even a Blood Clan Duke Peak like Ovilia couldn't help but tense up. Her forehead beaded with sweat, she clenched her teeth so tightly that her body began to creak as if in extreme pain. There was no helping it; this was the inherent chasm between the Blood Clan and Light Magicians. The restraining effect of Light Magic on their internal Blood Energy was simply too profound.

"Do you two also mistake me for one of the Blood Clan?" Faced with this, Chen Fei's expression remained completely unfazed. He let out a cold shout as a puff of earthy-yellow smoke drifted from his sleeve. It formed into a palm the size of a millstone and pressed down on both Paladins simultaneously.

Although the Mystic Stone Mirror was only a Low Grade Magic Artifact, after months of relentless tempering day and night by Chen Fei, it had begun to show signs of evolving toward a Mid-Grade Magic Artifact. Furthermore, his current Cultivation Level was worlds beyond what it was when he first forged the mirror. Thus, even without using his full strength, the power displayed by the Mystic Stone Mirror was enough to horrify the two mighty Paladins.

RUMBLE...

Wherever the hand formed from the Mystic Stone Mirror passed, a deafening rumble echoed, sending tremors through the onlookers.

But that wasn't even the most astonishing part. The most shocking moment came when the hand collided with the Holy Hammers held high by the two Paladins. The surface of the hammers instantly shattered! Countless fragments of the Holy Hammers turned to dust and scattered as the hand pressed down once more.

PFFT! PFFT!

Under the horrified gazes of the crowd, the two mighty S+ Peak Paladins trembled violently. They were sent flying backward, spewing blood, while the hands holding their Holy Hammers were completely mangled. Blood soaked the ground, and the sight left everyone present utterly dumbfounded.

"This... I..." Blisto's mouth gaped open, his eyes filled with sheer disbelief. He stood there for a long time, unable to close his mouth.

Although he knew that the legendary assassin Jack the Blade had died at Chen Fei's hands, this… this was simply too terrifying, wasn't it?

GULP...

It wasn't just him. Earl Aikenal and Du Liwei were equally stunned. They swallowed hard, their faces masks of shock.

Only now did they finally understand what Blisto had meant earlier. Even the great Duke Old Brad had to show Mr. Chen respect. Faced with such terrifying strength, how could he not?

"A treasure! That is a legendary treasure belonging to the immortals of the Huaxia of the East! How could you possibly possess such a precious item?! Who in the world are you?" As the two great Paladins were crushed by Chen Fei and left seriously injured and unconscious, the sneering, arrogant expression on Great Mage Dumbledore's face vanished, replaced by a look of someone who had just seen a ghost. He began to back away, shrieking.

A Western powerhouse of his level would certainly know of Magic Artifacts left behind by Qi Practitioners from Ancient Huaxia, even if he didn't possess one himself. He might have even encountered them before. To them, the treasures left by the so-called "immortals" of Ancient Huaxia were even more terrifying than the Holy Artifacts of their Western world. How could he not panic?

"Immortals? Well, I suppose to you, our Qi Practitioners from Ancient Huaxia are no different from immortals. Why don't you have a taste as well!?" Hearing this, Chen Fei gave a wry smile. With a casual wave of his hand, the Mystic Stone Mirror transformed into a stream of earthy-yellow smoke that shot toward Dumbledore. During its flight, the smoke coalesced into the indistinct form of a massive mudflow serpent, which rumbled as it bore down on the mage.

Ever since forging the Mystic Stone Mirror, Chen Fei had not slacked for a single day in honing his control over it. His mastery had now reached an astonishing level. As he pushed the artifact's power to its limit, Dumbledore's face turned pale. A suffocating sensation made him feel as if the blood in his veins was slowing to a crawl.

"You... you... how is this possible! How can you be so strong? No..." The sheer power radiating from the mudflow serpent, formed in an instant by the Mystic Stone Mirror, filled Dumbledore with a sense of utter powerlessness. His face turned ashen, and his eyes widened in panic.

Even a fool would realize he had struck a steel plate. Damn it! If I had known, why would I have cared about my nephew Boris?! To think he would foolishly provoke such a formidable opponent and bring such immense trouble to the Barton Family—he deserves to die!

"S-Level Light Magic: Protection of the Radiant Wings!"

"S-Level Light Magic: Judgement of the Holy Spear!"

But this was no time for idle thoughts. Terror flashing in his eyes, Dumbledore quickly pulled a fist-sized white stone from his wide sleeve. The stone pulsed with blinding light as he clutched it, seeming to draw immense light energy from within. Chanting an incantation faster than he ever had in his life, he unleashed two major S-Level Light Magic spells.

A white light so brilliant it threatened to blind everyone descended from the sky. WHOOSH! A pair of gigantic white wings instantly unfolded from behind Dumbledore, shielding him within the fantastical display.

Not only that, but another equally shocking power emerged with every word and syllable of his incantation. Within seconds, it solidified in mid-air into a fearsome spear of light. The spear was surrounded by fizzing white light. Countless white orbs, smaller than a thumb, circled it. Electric snakes seemed to dance wildly across its surface, making one's scalp tingle.

This was the strength of a Grand Mage of Light.

Though he seemed to be relying on some external power, it was indeed impressive.

Yet, upon seeing this, Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, didn't even bat an eye. He just casually waved his hand again. In a space invisible to the naked eye, his spiritual energy surged like a roaring tidal wave.

That spiritual energy then poured into the Mystic Stone Mirror at a terrifying speed.

BOOM!

The aura emanating from the mudflow serpent grew even more terrifying, completely overwhelming the power of the two major S-Level spells.

The next second, under the stunned gazes of the crowd, the dreadful spear of light, wreathed in white orbs, was destroyed from the tip inward. A moment later, it completely collapsed. But the most horrifying part was that the mudflow serpent, with power still to spare, continued to press toward Dumbledore.

BANG!

RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

The mudflow serpent whipped its tail fiercely against the giant white wings. The wings trembled violently, nearly shattering on the spot. This was the last straw for the bloodied and disheveled Dumbledore. Driven to the brink of madness, he began to beg for his life. "No, don't kill me! Please, don't kill me! I'll pay any price to redeem my life! I beg you, esteemed Eastern powerhouse, don't kill me!"

Although such an act would utterly destroy his dignity, under the terrifying threat of death, he had no other choice.

"Pay a price to redeem your life? Can you stop spouting such nonsense?" A disdainful sneer crossed Chen Fei's lips. "If I, Chen Fei, wanted anything from you or the Barton Family, wouldn't it be as easy as taking something from my own pocket? Did you really think you could stop me?"

At the same time, he felt a flicker of excitement. Coincidentally, he was just wondering about the Magic Gold Coins for the auction. Now someone had willingly delivered them to his doorstep—this was quite convenient...

"No, that's not what I meant, I... you..." Hearing Chen Fei's words, Dumbledore panicked. He knew Chen Fei was right. If the man wanted anything from him, he could just take it. What could he, Dumbledore, do to stop him? So he really had no grounds to negotiate. But if he didn't negotiate, then what? He couldn't just stand there stupidly and wait to die, could he?

"Enough. Truth be told, there's no great enmity between us. But since you chose to offend me today... the death penalty can be waived, but the punishment for your crimes cannot be escaped! You and those two will each sever one arm," Chen Fei interrupted him, his voice cold and indifferent. It was true there was no deep-seated grudge, and he had no desire to become a wanton killer. But a crime had been committed, and punishment was due.

"Sever one arm? Yes!" SCHLICK!

Hearing Chen Fei's command, Great Mage Dumbledore didn't hesitate for a second. He directly chopped off his own left arm. For a mage of his level, a severed limb could be reattached as long as it wasn't completely destroyed. Why would he hesitate?

Then, he quickly cast two more spells. Two blinding Swords of Light slashed out, one to the left and one to the right, severing the left hands of the two unconscious Paladins. Only then did he stop, turning to Chen Fei with a trembling voice. "E-Esteemed sir, as you can see…"

Witnessing this scene, the many onlookers in the distance felt their legs go weak. A chill ran down their spines, and they found it impossible to muster any strength at all.
