Sole Sword Supremacy

Chapter 409: Innate Water Spirit

Putting down the teacup, Wang Junze slowly stood up and walked straight towards the depths of the Dragon Palace.

Everything that needed to be said had already been said, and what remained was up to everyone's own choices. He just needed to continue following his own plan.

For Wang Junze to have come this far, the greatest opportunity came from acquiring the inheritance of Chess Swordsmanship from that one ruin. So, he knew very well what kind of opportunity lay within this Dragon Palace, and no matter how dangerous, he had to persist in moving forward.

If such an opportunity was right in front of him and he still had to give it up, he might as well shrink back in the Profound Moon Sword Sect and not leave the Northern Domain at all.

In just a moment, Wang Junze passed through the inner hall and entered a new space.

The moment he stepped into it, Wang Junze suddenly felt himself submerged in seawater, as if trapped in a land of marshes, unable to see anything but water.

And the reason it was mentioned being submerged in seawater was because the water here was no longer Innate Spirit Water, but had turned into real seawater.

Once inside, he couldn't breathe or walk normally, being swept along by the tides.

What was worse was that the seawater here didn't have a surface, no matter how much he tried to float up, he couldn't emerge from the water.

Wang Junze couldn't breathe underwater, only relying on his powerful ability to hold his breath. But no matter what, holding one's breath has its limits; it's fine in short periods, but if trapped in seawater continuously, he would eventually drown.

He must quickly find a way to leave here.

Wang Junze wasn't skilled in swimming, so he could only invoke the Water Sword Intent, advancing by leveraging the Sword Momentum.

However, with seawater everywhere, everything seemed the same, just discerning direction was a hassle.

After advancing about half an incense stick's worth of time, Wang Junze suddenly noticed a ray of light appearing in front. He instinctively moved toward the source of the light and soon felt a rich Water Origin!

However, the source of this aura wasn't a lifeless object but a tiny, human-shaped spirit!

"Phoo!"

That little spirit seemed to notice Wang Junze too, and spat a mouthful of water at him!

However, this seemingly harmless action immediately turned into a water arrow attacking Wang Junze, instantly exerting immense pressure on him!

Zheng!

Not daring to hesitate even a bit, Wang Junze raised his sword to meet the water arrow.

The water arrow shattered upon hitting the Sword Edge, but even the water droplets that scattered onto Wang Junze invigorated him tremendously!

Innate Spirit Water!

Without any need for explanation, Wang Junze could sense that the water arrow the spirit spat was Innate Spirit Water. Even just a tiny bit carried immensely powerful energy, and most importantly, this Innate Spirit Water could be directly absorbed by Wang Junze.

A glint of excitement flashed in Wang Junze's eyes as he immediately understood the key to this trial.

The little spirit in front of him was a Water Spirit formed from Innate Spirit Water. Killing it would allow him to refine this Innate Spirit Water, enabling him to survive in this sea domain, which perhaps was also the key to leaving this sea domain.

With a flicker of his body, Wang Junze swung his sword and lunged towards the Innate Water Spirit in front of him.

Seemingly sensing the killing intent emanating from Wang Junze, the Water Spirit appeared extremely furious as well. With a gentle wave of its small hand, a terrifying surge suddenly emerged around and fiercely pounded towards Wang Junze.

Water Control!

In front of the Innate Water Spirit, all seawater could be easily manipulated, transforming into fearsome attacks.

For others, facing such an attack, let alone killing the Water Spirit, even getting close to it would be exceedingly difficult. But for Wang Junze, this posed no real challenge.

With Water Sword Intent bursting forth, no matter how the surrounding waves surged, Wang Junze could easily slice through the sea waves with his Sword Momentum and charge towards the Water Spirit!

In just a moment, this Innate Water Spirit was slain by Wang Junze!

Apart from the Water Control ability, the Innate Water Spirit's strength wasn't particularly formidable, only equivalent to Heaven-Stepping cultivation, which posed no challenge for Wang Junze.

Of course, this might also correlate with Wang Junze's own Realm.

Just like in the ruins back then, the trials reflected the strength level of those undergoing them.

In a certain sense, Wang Junze indeed benefited from a lower level of cultivation.

Hoo!

After slaying the Water Spirit, Wang Junze quickly refined the Innate Spirit Water. The oppressive feeling from being unable to breathe underwater seemed to dissipate significantly.

Most importantly, Wang Junze could clearly feel that his Cultivation seemed to have also improved considerably.

This pure Innate Spirit Water was incredibly nourishing for Wang Junze, more effective than any Miracle Elixir.

Without needing rest, Wang Junze swiftly continued swimming forward.

As he delved deeper into the sea domain, the frequency of Innate Water Spirit appearances increased, and they no longer appeared alone but in groups.

This increased Wang Junze's pressure considerably.

Fortunately, killing the Water Spirits allowed him to refine Innate Spirit Water and replenish his strength; otherwise, Wang Junze would struggle to persist.

...

Within the inner hall, the Dragon Turtle's expression became increasingly grim.

As the guardian of the Dragon Palace, it could easily observe the conditions of anyone within the palace.

Wang Junze felt the growing pressure from dealing with the Innate Spirit Water, but the Dragon Turtle knew well how astonishing Wang Junze's performance was.

Over the years, the Dragon Turtle had witnessed countless challengers in the Dragon Palace, but none as impressive as Wang Junze.

Practicing Water Sword Intent, Wang Junze seemed to be tailor-made to inherit the Dragon Palace's legacy. Trials incredibly difficult for others became aids to Wang Junze for constantly enhancing his strength.

If things continued like this, it wouldn't be long before Wang Junze passed the test of the Endless Sea.

Others might not know, but the Dragon Turtle was well aware that once the test of the Endless Sea was passed, a vast amount of Innate Spirit Water would be obtained, and what followed would be the final trial of the Dragon Palace.

No matter what, Wang Junze must not be allowed to pass through the Endless Sea so smoothly!

"Imperial Decree!"

With a hint of terrifying killing intent in its eyes, a golden Talisman appeared in the Dragon Turtle's hand!

"Dragon Palace Guardians, enter the Endless Sea and intercept the intruder!"

The golden Talisman instantly ignited, transforming into a Command Token that resounded throughout the Dragon Palace.

"Phoo!"

But simultaneously, countless golden chains appeared on the Dragon Turtle's body, fiercely binding into its flesh.
