The only thing worth their attention in the bank is, of course, the treasure vault, especially Vault No. 1.
This is no small matter. Vault No. 1 houses the fortunes of countless high-tier Sky Knights, Celestial Groups, and the wealthy of the Holy City. If they are all lost, the Holy City will certainly plunge into great turmoil.
"Even Fairy Dragons can't steal that much stuff. Maybe they have a specific target, or they're simply creating a bank heist. We can only say Yusef is finally planning a big one."
Lisya wrote two items on the whiteboard.
First, preventing the bank from being robbed is currently the most pressing matter, even more urgent than capturing Yusef.
Second, capture these highly intelligent Fairy Dragons as much as possible, and find out why they are collaborating with Yusef and what they seek. Whether through intimidation, interrogation, or defection, we might catch Yusef off guard, search his residence and workplace, and look for the corresponding ink during the confusion.
"Therefore, lying in ambush at the bank is the best plan," Lisya said confidently.
"However, the most troublesome part of this plan is how to infiltrate among the guards without being detected."
Lisya explained that Vault No. 1 is not a pure vault; it is a large underground space with individual treasure vaults and safes.
Inside that underground space, there are guards on duty. They rotate every half-month and are guards selected and trained by the bank.
It is neither a rotation time now, nor is there any reason to replace the guards. The vault opens only in the afternoon, for the regular transport of the valuables by the bank president and the guards. Even the bookkeeping must be done by the president personally.
"After disguising as staff, the Fairy Dragons should next disguise themselves as the escort team."
Lisya said, "The best plan is to get in advance. Once they are caught in the act, everything becomes manageable. But the Fairy Dragon capable of breaking through the shield must at least be at the Excellence Realm, whereas the vault guards are all at the Transcendent Realm."
"Why doesn't the vault use guards at the Excellence Realm?" Li Ang asked.
"This has been discussed before, but the point is they are unnecessary."
Lisya explained how difficult it is to rob the Holy Capital Bank.
First, if robbers successfully sneak into the Holy City and successfully seize items while waiting for them to be stored, what will they face when they try to escape?
The first line of defense is the vault itself, which closes during the robbery and can only be broken by those at the Legendary Realm.
This first line is a chasm.
Suppose they escape before the vault closes, the second line of defense is the Order Investigation Corps patrolling the entire Holy City. Should such a major event occur, the Excellence Realm elites will undoubtedly all be deployed.
The third line of defense is the Knight Resolution Conference Members and remaining Celestial Group members, who might happen to be in the Holy City.
Even if the regular Sky Knights passing by take no action, the robbers must finally breach the fourth line, the Arcane Shield that not even a Legendary Demon might crash through, which can deny passage to anyone in an emergency.
So, in the Holy City's three hundred years of existence, no one has ever attempted to steal from the Holy Capital Bank.
Li Ang, however, suddenly thought of the "Eye of God." If Vault No. 1 in the Holy Capital Bank is so tightly guarded, then how was the place storing key Demon records breached? Could it be...
Li Ang felt a sense of crisis because of the enemies Zoe might face in the future.
Lisya continued, "Thus, in a world where there is a shortage of manpower, and those at the Excellence Realm can live freely anywhere, who would go spend half a month in an empty bank vault?
"The so-called guards actually prevent the escort team from being infiltrated and robbed during the transport of valuables, though they surely can't escape the Holy City.
"However, seventy years after the establishment of the Holy City, there have indeed been some senseless robbers who, despite succeeding repeatedly on other islands, managed to bring valuables out of the Holy City. Though they could not break through the Arcane Shield, those robbers were experienced and couldn't be caught once they infiltrated the city, but in the end, it was their bad luck that got them caught.
"To avoid another city-wide chaos, that's why the guards are set."
Li Ang wondered if that robber was named Herman Karl Ramm.
Besides the sarcasm, he added, "But the problem now is that there is someone who can slip into the bank, who can escape from the Holy City."
"Exactly."
Lisya rubbed her temples, "Various crises are watching this world intently."
Fairy Dragons can sneak into the vault, steal things, have the ability to change appearances to avoid pursuit, and can even penetrate the Arcane Shield.
"I hadn't heard of such dragons before receiving the report. Fairies, Fairy Dragons, it's really enough," Lisya sighed.
Indeed, catching them in the act at the bank is the best method.
"How can we sneak in then?"
Lisya murmured as she crossed her arms, "Should we have Sisyphus request special privilege documents from their president now? Equipping them with guards at the Excellence Realm might alert the Fairy Dragons to escape earlier, while too weak ones would be the same as the current guards, meaningless."
Elaphia said, "I have a candidate."
"What do you mean?" The vice-captain looked up.
Douding pointed at Li Ang, "His team."
"Wasn't he kicked out? What new group did he join?"
"I have formed a team called the Starflower Brigade, and it's currently composed of promising Transcendent Realm members."
"I see. So are you capable of infiltrating the bank?"
Li Ang and Elaphia exchanged a glance, "Yes."
With Spiritual Driving, not to mention infiltration, they could stroll in as if it were their own home.
