Li Ang glanced sideways at the Half Elf, and after a few seconds, she couldn't hold it in herself.
"Give me some reaction, please."
"You talk as if I'm some sort of demonic captain."
"Eh? Aren't you?"
"Wait a second," Li Ang sighed, rubbing his forehead, "who was it that suddenly fell ill at Flashing Field, making the atmosphere in the group so weird?"
"Can't I? Anyway, it's like that now."
"How shameless of you."
Dorothy slapped the bed: "Enjoying yourself and then pretending not to know me, huh."
"Hey."
Li Ang said, "This time, I'm here to help you enhance your power. You're the only one whose profession hasn't stepped into the extraordinary realm. Aren't you ashamed?"
Dorothy lay down like she'd given up and stretched.
"I told you last time, if this goes on, you'll open a really scary switch. I won't always refuse."
The Half Elf suddenly sat up, her face full of interest.
"But first, we need to handle serious matters. Without power, if your mind is still full of ridiculous things, that's just a slow death."
"But, I really don't understand how to practice the path of a Priest."
Dorothy said seriously for a moment: "I was afraid you'd laugh at me before, but actually, I've forgotten all about the Elf Faith my mom taught me."
"You mean, you'll have to go back to your mother's old home and have a look?"
The Half Elf nodded.
Clearly, both knew this was a troublesome matter. Discussing and addressing it would involve a lot, like the Campbell Clan, which is a problem in itself, and they don't know how her grandfather would view the granddaughter who hasn't been heard from for years after his daughter's death.
"Let's start by cultivating the Demon-Born Flower, then; I didn't expect you to make any progress in your profession anyway."
"Oh wow, so you brought up the profession just to hit me, right?"
"How can we talk about things if you don't get serious?"
Li Ang rolled his eyes at her and told her to summon the special branches.
The special Demon-Born Flower branches were the Star Crystal Branch and the Dragon Blood Branch, colored glassy blue and blood red, respectively.
"They transformed by absorbing special energies, so with this understanding, we could let them absorb other special energies to become stronger."
Li Ang said, in the past, they discovered the traits of the Demon-Born Flower passively during battles; now, they could actively nourish it with special energies.
Li Ang immediately thought of the Enhanced Magical Power that allowed Thousand Tower City to stand in the clouds—Ether and Arcane Energy.
The latter even participated in the construction of the Arcane Shield of the Holy City.
After hearing him out, Dorothy said, "These two should be possible, but we can't get them now, right?"
"Yes. I'm just telling you to include the collection of these two energies in the development plan."
Li Ang said, "But it's not all for nothing."
He first took out a Fairy Dragon Egg.
In the previous breeding zone, he acquired a lot. Since this thing requires a system to manage, there's no need to keep too many, especially since once the ship is built, their thoughts on breeding Demons might change again.
Relying on Spiritual Manipulation and control of the Power of Dragon, Li Ang could transform this egg into a source generator for the Power of Dragon until the Demon-Born Flower drained it dry.
He directed magic power from his palm, converting it into the Power of Dragon, releasing intense blood-red light that enveloped the Gelatinous Dragon Egg, causing its surface's iridescence to change swiftly and finally showing a congested purple-red color.
Soon, the Dragon Branch behind Dorothy began to stir.
The large flower bud that grew from the branch's tip immediately unfurled, resembling a multi-petaled dragon's maw, reaching toward the Fairy Dragon Egg with the intent to swallow it whole.
"Swallowing it all at once would be wasteful," Li Ang said.
"I know, I'm telling it."
Though it wasn't clear how Dorothy communicated with the Demon-Born Flower, she indeed looked slightly flushed, as if making an effort, with an enchanting look on her face.
The Dragon Flower trembled slightly, slowly retreating, only letting the branch touch the Fairy Dragon Egg.
In an instant, the red energy within the Fairy Dragon Egg transferred to the branch, acting like a pipe with an internal dark red breathing light, greedily sipping the Power of Dragon amidst the changing brightness.
In about two or three minutes, a small opening appeared on the Dragon Branch, and a brand new blood-red flower bud emerged.
This bud was still small, but unlike ordinary Demon-Born Flower branches that bloom on the branch, it grew a new branch of its own.
"What's this, will it turn into a multi-headed dragon?" Li Ang joked.
"Just don't let it become too ugly," Dorothy said, looking back.
So far, Demon-Born Flowers always combined danger with beauty, likely due to the nature of such existence.
Letting the Dragon Flower slowly absorb the power continuously squeezed from the Dragon Egg, Li Ang said solemnly, "Next could be a challenge."
Dorothy seemed somewhat apprehensive: "What?"
Li Ang took out a box he got from Rams and retrieved a Rune Stone from it.
"Is this an ancient civilization's stone? You want the Demon-Born Flower to absorb this energy?"
"Yes, I found there's a special energy inside..."
Before Li Ang finished speaking, besides the Star Crystal Vine and Dragon Vine, all the flower vines Dorothy had released started growing and curling towards the Rune Stone.
"...only it's exceptionally strong."
Li Ang weighed the stone in the palm of his hand.
"Creation Formula"... At first, he couldn't pinpoint what kind of power it was, but after learning about the Demons and the ancient Deus people, he could basically determine that it was a mysterious energy purified using extraordinary technology.
Daring to claim creation, it must be extraordinary.
Then, perhaps the "Power of Foundation" concentrated in the Refined Source Steel Block was also a special energy, but Li Ang didn't even want to let her try.
