Within the large forest, a group could be seen all covered in black cloaks, with black masks covering their faces.
They had finally stopped within the forest after getting quite far from the orc settlement.
They decided to use the forest, as they had gotten the information that Akhil was going through the air.
So, to avoid any contact between the two groups, they resorted to walking.
Now though, they decided to take a short break and make sure everything was in place before returning back to the settlement.
After making sure everything was just as they planned, the leader turned to face his team.
Taking a quick glance at his team, the leader pulled off his mask, a satisfied smile on his face.
"That was a pretty easy mission, now let's get back and get our rewards from the boss," he said with a dark grin.
The others in the group laughed mockingly as well as they rejoiced from their success. It was short-lived as someone from the group finally noticed something amiss.
"Sir, someone is missing, my teammate," the human said with a look of worry on his face as he searched around for his teammate.
'That idiot dragged me to come for this mission, telling me how great the rewards are, and now he's suddenly disappeared! I knew I shouldn't have come for this mission,' he thought frustratedly.
"Huh? What do you mean by that... Didn't he retreat with us?" The leader threw a quizzical glance at him.
"I'm not sure, sir. He was dealing with an orc just before you placed the order. He said he'll be right behind us, but I haven't seen him since then," the young soldier replied, worried.
"What's all this!" the leader roared in annoyance. "It was a simple order, and yet he couldn't follow through with it... We're not waiting for anyone. He'll be alright. Let's keep going. Hmph," the leader scoffed in annoyance as he turned his back to leave.
The young boy looked back worriedly. 'That idiot shouldn't have taken this much time....' He couldn't quell the feeling of unease in his chest, but he couldn't go against the orders he was given.
The group continued on their way to the settlement, moving with triumphant smiles on their faces. Unknown to them, they had just triggered what could be their worst nightmares.
Back in the orc camp, Akhil's mind raced with countless thoughts as he looked down at Aria's face.
He raised his gaze, quietly taking in the sight of the entire orc camp.
'Have I been too lenient? Have I been too naive? Why couldn't I kill them, yet they find it so easy to kill us?' He paused for a moment, processing his thoughts.
His gaze fell onto Grandma Gino, the memories of the night of the festival flushing in. His moments with Aria.
'Aria was right.... This world has really changed.... No, it was like this from the start.' Akhil gritted his teeth, his hands wrapping tightly around Aria's body.
'These dirty humans don't deserve kindness. I'll be the one who decides who I get to be kind to! I'm sorry, Miss Kate, but you lied.... Not everyone deserves kindness.' A drop of tear dropped from his eyes as he held onto Aria.
With his senses, he could still feel her pulse. She wasn't dead yet, but she could die anytime soon.
'I have to take care of her,' Akhil thought as he looked down at her face, but then, seeing her pale, beautiful face, his chest tightened, anger burning within.
'No, that's not enough. I'll heal her, but that's not enough.....' he said as he handed Aria's body to Ryan, who was by his side.
'They've taken blood, and I'll answer back with blood.'
"Take care of her, she's not dead yet... Use supplements from the system store. That should help a bit," he ordered, his gaze drifting back to Grandma Gino, or rather the human that had been knocked out by Gon.
Ryan nodded his head, taking Aria with him.
Akhil took slow, steady steps towards the man, his mind swirling with different thoughts. His deadly aura permeated the air, growing thicker, almost suffocating with every step he took forward.
The orcs shook in fear, quickly parting as he walked straight for the human.
The human lay on the ground, barely aware of the danger coming for him, but he soon felt it.
A sharp, burning pain spread through every part of his body, like a thousand needles digging deep into his skin.
His eyes quickly shot open. He jolted up from intense pain, but he quickly froze as he felt the dangerous presence before him.
A figure stood staring down at him, with blood-crimson eyes that seemed like eyes from a demon from the depths of hell.
He felt a cold shiver run down his spine, every instinct in him telling him to run, but for some reason, his legs felt weak.
He slowly glanced down towards his legs, and his eyes widened as he could now see the source of the pain that dragged him back to consciousness.
A sharp spike formed from pure blood passed straight through his left thigh, pinning him down to the ground.
"Aarghh!!" he screamed as the sense of pain intensified, the bone-crushing pain filling him up.
"Shut up!" a cold, emotionless voice came from the man before him, followed by another bone-wrenching sound.
Quelch~
A bone-crushing sound was heard as a sharp blood spike tore straight through his right thigh, pinning him down to the ground.
His eyes widened even more, turning bloodshot from the nerve-breaking pain.
"A—" He wanted to scream more, but looking into those cold, lifeless eyes, the shout hung in his throat.
His voice shrank, too scared to even imagine what would happen if he actually let out that noise.
He bit his lips hard, tears leaking from his eyes as he held back the pain in pure terror. Akhil didn't care less how the figure before him felt, though.
To him, everything he did in this instant was justified. Even if the man died, he couldn't care less anymore.
"Who sent you?!" Akhil roared with restrained rage, his hands visibly shaking, as though holding back the rage was taking every ounce of his strength.
The veins in his neck were visible to the eyes. The orcs stayed back, just as terrified as the young human.
But they, too, didn't care what Akhil did to the human who had taken their loved ones away from them.
The man's lips quivered, the words barely able to form from the intense fear mixed with pain.
"S-sir S-Samxon!" he yelled. He didn't think twice. He didn't even think at all, the words slipped straight out of his mouth from fear.
Akhil's pupils shrank as he heard the name, his fist balling. His thoughts going back to all his encounters with Samxon and the fight they had back in the forest.
'THAT BASTARD!' Akhil's gaze went bloodshot.
"Please don't kill me! I was only following orders!" the human quickly said seeing Akhil's reaction. Tears mixed with mucus covering his entire face as he looked at Akhil with a pleading gaze.
But he quickly realized his choice of words were perhaps the worst. Looking at Akhil, not only had his gaze turned darker, but an intense intent to kill was oozing out of him.
"I-i—" before he could say a thing, blood was sent spraying out through his neck as the sharp spike of blood pierced right through it.

Akhil turned his back on the settlement, looking in the direction of the human settlement.
"I'll be back."
Without any words, he flew straight towards the human settlement.
This time, he was going to play their game—not as Akhil, but as Nexus. They wanted a gamer; he was going to show them one.
