Chapter 47: Five-Person Instance

The time quickly reached the second day.

In the early morning, Wang Zhifan woke up from his slumber, got up, washed up, and after having breakfast outside, returned to his rented apartment to start the activity he valued most: dungeon raiding.

"I wonder what creature we're fighting today and what the rewards will be."

With a sense of anticipation, he armed himself completely, and his figure soon vanished from the apartment.

Following a brief moment of mental disorientation, when Wang Zhifan regained consciousness, he found himself in a place resembling an ancient Xia Country mansion.

In front of him, four people dressed in different attires stood dispersed, looking slightly dazed. It was clear these were his teammates in this dungeon; they hadn't yet shaken off the mental haze.

"An Lv3 dungeon is a five-person team?"

Wang Zhifan immediately pondered in his heart. He had initially thought that, like before, this dungeon would only include two teammates. Who would've thought there'd be double the number, a total of four teammates.

Soon, those in front of him regained clarity from the dizziness of entering the dungeon, standing in this ancient Xia Country courtyard, glancing at each other and assessing one another.

[Dungeon Objective: Eliminate all bandits attacking Qingping Stockade.]

Moments later, text describing the dungeon flashed before everyone's eyes, informing them of the primary task of this dungeon.

"Lv3 dungeons aren't about fighting animals anymore... interesting indeed."

This was the first time Wang Zhifan encountered a dungeon boss that wasn't a beast type, which instantly made him more excited because the various animal bosses he fought before were too boring; finally, he could encounter something novel.

"Oh hey, isn't that Hao? I can't believe the two of us ran into each other again! Such fate!"

At this moment, before everyone could go through the usual round of introductions in this ancient Xia courtyard, a young man in a suit with a rifle in his arms exclaimed in surprise towards an older man in a coat standing opposite him.

"Haha, it's you, kid? We'll catch up properly later."

The coat-wearing man also seemed to be of a gunner class, holding a long sniper rifle in his hands. Seeing the suited young man, a smile appeared on his face.

The man, possibly in his thirties, then glanced around at the other teammates, pausing for an extra half-second on the fully armored Wang Zhifan before continuing to speak:

"Gentlemen, I'm sure none of us are novices and understand the procedure, so let's just start with me. My surname is Han, given name Hao, you can call me Hao. I'm an Lv8 gunslinger, specialized in sniping, providing stable long-range firepower for the team."

Having finished his introduction, the man who called himself Han Hao looked at the person next to him with a smile, signaling them to continue the introductions.

It was a lean man of medium height wearing a mask with a smile revealing only his eyes. The man didn't say much and quickly spoke in a flat tone:

"Lv7, Assassin, specialized in reconnaissance."

As he finished speaking, it was the turn of the suited young man opposite the coat-wearing man, who, unlike the stoic masked man, began his introduction quite familiarly.

"Hello brothers and sisters, I am Huang Yunqiang, Huang as in yellow, luck as in strong luck, as you can see, I'm an Lv7 gunner. A bit embarrassed to say, my shooting skill is only at Lv2, so my capabilities might be average. I hope you all will be tolerant; however, I have a pretty good stock of ammo, so I can definitely contribute..."

Before the suited young man could finish speaking, the coat-wearing man opposite him waved his hand somewhat helplessly, interrupting his chatter.

"Ah Qiang, hold it for now, let's chat more later. Let the brother next to you introduce himself first."

The person next to the suited young man, mentioned by the coat-wearing man, happened to be the fully armored Wang Zhifan.

At this moment, Wang Zhifan was a bit confused because he realized the teammates who had introduced themselves were Lv7 and Lv8, a notable difference from his mere Lv3, making him wonder if the dungeon was playing a trick on him again.

But since it was his turn, Wang Zhifan calmly introduced himself.

"I'm an Lv3 close-combat blademaster class, looking forward to cooperating with all you veterans to clear this dungeon."

As he finished speaking, he felt nearly all eyes on him, with the suited young man Huang Yunqiang even exclaiming directly.

"Lv3? Brother! You must be joking! You're fully geared up, and still just Lv3? Are you messing with us?"

Huang Yunqiang, while speaking, was staring at the silver long knife in Wang Zhifan's right hand, the silver and white pistol in his left, his gloves, wristbands, ring, and the wolfhide armor on him that obviously wasn't ordinary equipment.

"I truly am only Lv3."

To prevent any misconceptions about his capabilities, Wang Zhifan lit up his level indicator above his head, proving he was indeed Lv3.

"Wow, you're quite lucky! Don't worry, we'll definitely look after you in this dungeon!"

Huang Yunqiang, very familiar, patted Wang Zhifan on the shoulder with a passionate tone.

Meanwhile, the coat-wearing man opposite Huang Yunqiang focused his bright eyes on Wang Zhifan, who just proved his Lv3 status, a slight smile curling at his mouth, though these expressions were fleeting. He then looked at the only team member yet to introduce themselves, a long-haired woman in black standing next to Wang Zhifan, suggesting she introduce herself too.

This only female member had a tall build and wore a black tight outfit that seemed like a standard product; her expression was calm and capable, holding a pistol like Wang Zhifan in her left hand and a white fan in her right, looking slightly different in style from the others.

"I'm an Lv9 Priest class diviner, capable of providing buffs and healing, while also having enough combat prowess for self-defense."

The woman's calm introduction drew another exclamation from Huang Yunqiang.

"A priest class? And a female player? This is truly a first for me, it seems this time our dungeon is truly a gathering of talents."

Just as Huang Yunqiang's exaggerated expression finished marveling, the coat-wearing man, known as Han Hao, suddenly asked the long-haired woman in black:

"Sis, that outfit of yours... are you from the Bureau?"

"Yes."

The long-haired woman turned and nodded to the coat-wearing man, indicating he guessed correctly.
