Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids

Chapter 47: First Collaboration

"Okay, I'll bring my people and reach you in about two hours."

"No problem, I'm usually in at night."

"See you later."

After hanging up the phone, Mo Jingchun saved the strange number in his contacts with a note that said "A" and then smoothly put his phone into his jeans pocket.

Unfortunately, Mo Jingchun didn't know that the number from which Lieutenant Colonel Zhang Aijun called was randomly generated from a bunch of numbers. Next time, it won't be the same number.

Returning to the apartment, Mo Jingchun gently placed his still-sleeping sister Candy back on the bed, tucked her in, and closed the windows that had been opened for ventilation in the afternoon.

At this point, Mo Jingchun finally placed the teething stick, which had been chewed on all day, into a basin filled with hot water.

After cooking, Mo Jingchun woke the little one up again.

He added a bit of sugar to the Xiaomi porridge, giving it a slightly sweet taste.

Sitting on Mo Jingchun's lap, Candy held onto his left arm as he fed her spoonfuls of Xiaomi porridge.

Her tiny pink tongue occasionally peeked out to lick around her lips.

Once the little one was full, Mo Jingchun finally had time to eat. This was always the moment when Candy's eager little eyes were fixed intently, even though he always fed her before he ate; the aroma of the dishes never failed to tempt her.

After eating, Mo Jingchun didn't bother cleaning up the dishes and immediately bathed Candy.

In the bathroom with the heater on, sounds of splashing water and laughter echoed.

Wrapped in a towel, Candy relaxed in the water, enjoying her most cherished time every two days since it got cold.

Unless more water is added, and only when the bath water temperature drops, the little one would reluctantly leave the cozy little tub.

Dealing with the entire day's affairs, it was already past eight in the evening as Mo Jingchun sat in the living room with Candy, having waited for Zhang Aijun for over half an hour.

He had promised it would take two hours, but it was almost three.

Just as Mo Jingchun wondered why Zhang Aijun hadn't arrived yet, there was a knock at the door.

Knock, knock, knock~

"Coming, coming."

Walking to the door and looking through the peephole, Mo Jingchun saw that it really was Lieutenant Colonel Zhang Aijun outside, only then did he open the door.

After opening the door, Mo Jingchun discovered that Lieutenant Colonel Zhang Aijun wasn't alone; he had two other military men with him, whom Mo Jingchun had never seen before.

Mo Jingchun thought about it briefly and didn't speculate further.

"Please come in."

Before Mo Jingchun could close the door, the last soldier who entered casually closed it behind him.

Zhang Aijun placed a combination lock briefcase on the table and, after entering the correct code, the briefcase clicked open.

Inside the briefcase, quietly lay 16 sheets of A4 paper.

Zhang Aijun did not immediately hand over the documents to Mo Jingchun; instead, he took a confidentiality agreement from a comrade behind him and laid it in front of Mo Jingchun.

"Since this involves confidential documents, please sign this confidentiality agreement before reviewing them."

Holding the confidentiality agreement, Mo Jingchun skimmed through it. In summary, as long as the documents are not leaked, nothing will happen. If they are leaked, at the lightest, it would mean guaranteed meals and a place to live, and at the worst...eating melon seeds.

Seeing Mo Jingchun sign the confidentiality agreement, Zhang Aijun finally took out the documents from the briefcase and handed them to Mo Jingchun, saying, "This is from Academician Chen for you. He said if there's anything you don't understand, you can contact him via encrypted phone."

"Phone contact? Isn't Academician Chen home?" Mo Jingchun raised an eyebrow. There didn't seem to have been any noise coming from next door today.

Zhang Aijun's expression didn't change much as he shook his head and said, "I don't know, and even if I did, I wouldn't tell you."

Holding the child, Mo Jingchun shrugged without saying a word, simply sitting on the sofa with Candy on his lap while his right hand reviewed the documents.

Twenty minutes later, Mo Jingchun muttered to himself, "Satellite, huh?"

The three straight-standing figures of Zhang Aijun and his men remained silent, not responding to Mo Jingchun's question.

Placing the documents aside, Mo Jingchun closed his eyes to think, organizing his optimization thoughts. Later he began drafting on paper, writing down formulas next to drawings, which Zhang Aijun couldn't understand.

Though he didn't understand them, Zhang Aijun quietly noted each complex, hard-to-remember formula. How much of it he could recall after leaving, Zhang Aijun wouldn't wager on.

These formulas weren't words; if they were words, Zhang Aijun might actually remember every word without omission.

"I'll need an hour and a half. You can wait in the living room while I get my laptop from the bedroom."

Mo Jingchun initially thought of modifying the code in the bedroom, but then reconsidered, knowing Zhang Aijun likely wouldn't agree.

As for modifying code in the living room, whether Zhang Aijun could remember the code, Mo Jingchun honestly wasn't worried.

Seeing it is one thing, but remembering it is another. Even if he could remember it, it'd be of no use.

Without the functions from custom libraries, what's remembered is just a series of logical-looking English words and some inscrutable variable names.

Mo Jingchun let the little one stay wrapped in his warm coat, while under the gaze of Lieutenant Colonel Zhang Aijun and his men, he boldly began trimming away useless redundant code, making various parameter adjustments on the remaining code.

The sound of the keyboard clattering away filled the living room, while Candy nestled inside Mo Jingchun's coat, clutched his shirt with one hand and sucked her thumb with the other.

Her tiny feet played on Mo Jingchun's thigh, stepping back and forth.

After an hour and a half, the little one was already fast asleep on Mo Jingchun's chest, still sucking on her finger. Meanwhile, Mo Jingchun, using the parameter information on the table, completed the optimization of the attitude balance algorithm.

To be honest, Mo Jingchun didn't expect his very first collaboration with them would involve applying the attitude balance algorithm to a rocket launching a satellite.

Doesn't the government worry about minor data errors causing the satellite launch to fail? Not only would they lose money, but also a lot of time.

After re-encrypting and packaging the optimized attitude balance algorithm, Mo Jingchun stretched his neck and eased his body.

"Alright, Lieutenant Colonel Zhang Aijun, did you bring a flash drive? Surely you don't expect me to send it via email. If it gets intercepted and leaked over email, I won't take responsibility for that."

"Yes," Zhang Aijun, from who-knows-where, retrieved a deep black flash drive and handed it to Mo Jingchun.

"Okay, you can use it after taking it back. If there's any issue needing adjustment, you can contact me for modifications."

After Zhang Aijun and his men left, Mo Jingchun didn't rush to shut down the computer but instead opened the security software he had developed himself.
