Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 301: Trial of Ambition Crimson Tai Sui!

Among these new teammates, there were plenty of Fang Zhou's old acquaintances.

For example, the second seed, Natural Summoner Meng Hongzhuang.

The third seed, Demon Hunter Ye Fan.

The fourth seed, Storm Mage Gu Zhiqiu.

The team also included Professionals who, though their seed rankings weren't the highest, were indispensable to a well-rounded team.

For example, Earth Knight Zhao Yuan.

Shadow Assassin Lu Jiajing.

Chanting String Bai Xiaochan.

Jungle Hunter Yue Lingyun.

Besides these familiar faces, there were also two new teammates whom Fang Zhou found both strange and intriguing.

One was a female cadet who had awakened as a Light Priest.

The other was a male cadet who had awakened as a Berserker.

Once the team roster was finalized, Instructor Lu Hu arranged a brief introductory meeting.

He introduced Fang Zhou to his nine new teammates one by one. As they shook hands, a silent, tacit understanding and trust began to take root.

Subsequently, Sea City Military Academy prepared an unprecedented regimen of special training for these ten promising cadets.

The training session began. Five instructors in combat uniforms appeared before the cadets in perfect formation.

At their head, Instructor Lu Hu announced the upcoming training plan, his voice hoarse yet powerful. "You all know each other, so I'll skip the nonsense.

"For the next half month, we will put you through three stages of comprehensive training.

"The first stage will focus on improving your physical conditioning and Combat Techniques. I expect you to give it your all and cherish this valuable time."

With the command "Fall in! Forward march!" ringing out, the group marched in unison toward the physical training grounds.

The physical training grounds were a special, fully enclosed facility within Sea City Military Academy. Normally closed to the public, it required special permission to be booked for use.

The building covered five hectares and was ten stories tall.

Upon entering the first floor, a 400-meter circular track came into view, encircling a green lawn.

The group came to a halt in the center of the field, and Instructor Lu Hu's voice, tinged with stern expectation, rang out.

"The ten of you were carefully selected by the academy. Among you are Combat Professionals, Magic Professionals, and Support Professionals.

"Regardless of your Profession, a strong physique is essential for exploring the Mythical World and fending off Demon invasions.

"I'm here to tell you that the cruelty of the battlefields in the Mythical World and the harshness of other planes are beyond anything you can imagine.

"Compared to those places, our Blue Star is a greenhouse.

"Without a sufficiently strong physique, you won't even have the right to leave Blue Star, let alone explore the outer realms and enter the battlefield."

Instructor Lu Hu paused, his gaze sweeping over the cadets to ensure they had all heard him clearly.

He then continued, "Cultivation Methods and Skills raise your upper limit, but strengthening your physique raises your lower limit.

"On the battlefields of the outer planes and the Mythical World, you will face unpredictable dangers.

"A sufficiently strong physique will allow you to avoid many of them.

"And the purpose of this class is to help you temper that physique."

Once Instructor Lu Hu clarified the purpose of the lesson, the cadets understood immediately. They grasped the stakes involved. Only by pushing their bodies and wills to the absolute limit would they be qualified to serve on the front lines and face the unknown challenges ahead.

Next, Instructor Lu Hu began to detail the contents of the course.

"The physical conditioning class the academy has arranged for you is not your conventional strength and endurance training.

"We will incorporate special equipment to increase the difficulty and improve the benefits of the training. This process will involve a level of pain that ordinary people would find unbearable.

"Let me be blunt. The bottom line for this course is this: if it doesn't kill you, you train until you're at death's door.

"Therefore, don't be surprised if life-threatening situations occur.

"And although the academy has medical personnel on standby to provide efficient treatment, I assure you, that experience will not be pleasant."

Instructor Lu Hu's words struck every cadet's heart like a heavy hammer, but no one flinched.

They all understood that this was a necessary trial on the path to becoming strong.

Instructor Lu Hu continued, "Of course, you are the ten finest first-year cadets in Sea City Military Academy.

"The academy and I both believe that you have the determination and perseverance to complete every training module.

"We are training you to be the very suns that will light humanity's future."

Instructor Lu Hu had laid things out plainly, but the cadets before him showed no fear. Instead, their fighting spirit soared.

Each of them had clawed their way here, competing step-by-step against nearly ten thousand hand-picked academy cadets for a spot in the rookie competition. Even if they didn't say it aloud, every single one of them was eager to find their own limits.

The session began, and two other instructors brought out a pair of boxes.

The boxes were placed gently in the center of the training ground. As the lids were slowly opened, an aroma of metal and some unknown Energy wafted out, causing everyone's spirits to stir.

The two boxes contained over twenty bracelets in total, some black and some red.

Lu Hu picked up one of each color and explained, "Before you begin, you will each put on two of these bracelets.

"The black one is called a Gravity Bracelet.

"It's an Alchemy Marvel newly developed by the Longxia Federation's military.

"When you wear it, it amplifies the pull of gravity on your body, up to a maximum of ten times the normal effect."

Fang Zhou received a black one and slipped it onto his left wrist.

"To start," Lu Hu continued, "you will only be subjected to double gravity."
