The figure gulped, glancing at Rahu's curious face. It opened its mouth to answer.
"The Law wielding is divided into just four stages…based on the mastery of the user." It paused.
"Those are Law Fusion, Law Ascension, Law Embodiment, and…Law Supremacy."
"Oh?" Rahu raised his brows at this; he frowned. Hundreds of thousands of questions were revolving around his head.
Where did those bangles come from? How did those end up in the Radiant Monarch God's inheritance realm?
And how the heck did it contain the laws inside it?
And now, hearing these stages from his mouth. His confusion further deepened. Raising his hand, suddenly, pitch-black miasma began flowing out from his palm.
The Illusory figure shuddered in horror, and it hurriedly backed a few steps away.
"W-Who are you really!? You have really mastered the Supreme Law! The Supreme Death Law no less…are you even a mortal at this point?"
Seeing its power up close, the illusory figure was shaking intensely, its voice trembling ever so slightly. Rahu stared at this miasma with no emotion on his face.
"There's still a lot to learn about this law, but this… is certainly interesting," Rahu muttered. From his understanding, his mastery of the Law had reached Law Fusion—the very first step.
But it was probably more than enough to conquer these worlds…Also, there was this Radiant Monarch's inheritance! Just thinking about that inheritance made Rahu's smile widen.
…
Severin stood at the center of the ocean of golden blood, his black hair waving as he looked down.
The moment Severin's feet touched the surface of the golden blood, a terrifying pressure descended upon him. It was… existential pressure.
His nerves tingle, his eyes rolled back as he saw some glowing threads connecting the realm. Just before his mind was about to overload with these sensations. He zapped back to reality!
"Hufff…Huffhhfff, W-What was that?" Severin thought, terrified to the core. The blood beneath him rippled and surged upwards like a tide. Before he could even think of backing off, countless streams of golden liquid began coiling around his legs, waist, and chest—dragging him down.
"W-WAIT—!!?"
His shout was drowned in an instant as the blood swallowed him whole. And this time, there was no darkness swallowing him. Instead, Severin was engulfed in a blinding radiance of light.
The golden blood was warm…way too warm. It was like molten sunlight. It slowly seeped into his nose, mouth, ears, and invaded his veins directly. Even his Vital Core and Origin Meridians weren't spared.
His heart slammed violently inside his chest.
BOOM!
BAM!!
BOOM!!!
Then it came.
Agony erupted…his meridian was ripped apart as the blood surged through them. They shattered completely along with his Vital core.
Severin felt unimaginable pain course through his spine and hit straight into his brain,
"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
His scream echoed…in his mind. His bone cracked, lengthened only to melt again in golden liquid.
"I-Is this The Inheritance!!?"
A question popped into his mind before…some fragmented visions of a Divine figure wreathed in radiance played in his mind.
His consciousness flickered…his skin burned. The impurities deep within his body, such as residual toxins, flawed essences…mortal weakness—all were ripped out violently and expelled in the form of black mist, which evaporated instantly upon contact with the golden sea.
Severin felt it…He felt exposed, stripped down to the very truth of his small existence.
His heart began to beat faster than normal, as immense strength flooded his existence.
"This…power is really intoxicating," Severin spoke absentmindedly. His heartbeat slowly synchronized with the ocean itself. His breathing steadied.
Time lost its meaning as minutes passed…or maybe even years.
Slowly, the golden blood began receding as Severin's body floated upward, suspended above the ocean's surface. The radiance slowly condensed and seeped fully into him.
There was silence all over.
When Severin finally opened his eyes, the golden ocean reflected back at him. His irises glowed like molten gold. They were deep and radiant, carrying an unparalleled clarity.
His pupils were sharp and calm, and his hair had transformed completely. The black and dull, now cascading down his back in golden strands. Each of them glowed faintly.
His facial structure, too, had shifted entirely…sharper jawline, higher cheekbones, and flawless symmetry.
He lowered his gaze to his hands, golden veins pulsing faintly beneath his tough skin.
He clenched his fists, and the air distorted slightly.
"...What in the hell…"
His voice echoed throughout the ocean, calm yet heavy. He took a deep breath and glanced forward. A huge golden gate stood there, glowing majestically.
"This is…where the Inheritance is—? Then what was the point of this blood?"
There were many questions swirling inside his mind…But he shook his head.
"Hehe, this isn't the time to think. W-With the power of this Inheritance…let alone the Holy Sun Continent. Even the Three Worlds had to bow before me—Severin!!"
…
While Severin jubilated about his strength, he didn't know there was another being watching all his movements like a hawk.
"Hmm, his transformation far exceeded my expectations. So, this is the power of gods, huh?" Rahu pondered. He had been observing Severin from the moment he had stepped inside the entrance.
Of how the blood invaded him and reconstructed him, he watched it all. And he had to say, the blood was no joke.
The external features were just a bonus; it was the strength of Severin that had surprised Rahu.
He had jumped straight from the peak of the Origin Realm into the Divine Spark Realm!
It had stopped there because Severin's body wouldn't be able to bear power anymore. Not to mention the real Inheritance was still in that last entrance.
"Heh, Severin, oh, Severin. How kind of you, I would definitely pay you back…with extra interest." Rahu grinned, his smile stretching wide…scaring the Illusory being shitless. A second later he shook his head with a smile on his face and he glanced at the third trial where Azaria, Seris, and Zira were battling the 'firefly'.
"These three are good, so I don't have to worry about that for the time being. And oh—?" Rahu suddenly glanced in a certain direction. There were two other women who were battling the firefly. They were Maryam and…surprisingly Ravia. The same woman whom he had forced onto his lap in the meeting. Seeing them…a lascivious smile stretched across his face.
