Getting Married to a Yandere Princess

Chapter 59: Ch 59: A Minor Altercation

The first official day of their training came to an end, the sun in the horizon glowing a vermilion hue and cascading the sky in an awe-inspiring scenic beauty.

But sadly, being half dead and on an empty stomach, even the most beautiful sights of the nature fell short to these basic human needs.

Claw Zamian dragged themselves towards the dorms, their feet staggering and following Bernard. Even the strongest of their group had abandoned their pretense of having a dominant aura, rather opting to share in the wallows of the others.

'That lying bastard! First, he promised us he would let us go after the sparring sessions. But then suddenly when the last of the matches came to an end, he makes us do a few sets of body movements saying that they would come in help yue next day. And when that was done, he-- he made us run around the field for a third time!'

Meanwhile David was fuming internally, his eyes tracking Zamian's retreating figure like a madman.

'Even his reason had been ridiculous. According to him, his supper was still not ready and so he had to kill some time. Can you believe it?! He made us train even more just because he had to "kill some time"?!'

He reached the dorms just as the other two claws of that dorm were settling for supper - all freshened up and chatting among each other, still in an excited mood.

"Lucky bastards." Brynden muttered under his breath as he went past the long table.

Few of the people sitting at the table heard it and stopped as they all looked behind at the hulk of a man.

One of them, seemingly one of their leaders, stood up.

"Hey, you! What did you just say?"

The already exhausted members of Claw Zamian tensed at the sudden silence in the room, everyone's attention now at those two.

Brynden looked behind him and with his usual rough expression cursed. "I said lucky bastards but I take back my words."

Everyone started sighing in relief but then suddenly...

"In fact, the term 'lazy bastards' would be more suitable for you all."

"You!" The standing boy shouted as more members from the two claws now started frowning and talking in angry tones.

Harith noticing this, sprinted towards Brynden and faced the hall.

"Hello everyone, please don't take any offence at my friend's words. He is just too tired and frustrated. It was too impulsive of him, right Brynden?" He glanced behind him, encouraging Brynden to say yes to his words.

But Brynden had other plans as he looked at everyone and then...snickered. The sound was audible to all, the insult in it not missing anyone's ears.

"Impulsive, my ass. I mean what I said. Here we work hard for around half a day and these people here are just chilling. Lazy bastards!" Brynden drawled out the two words, his lips stretched out in plain mockery.

"Oh is it?" The tall boy approached those two, backed by a few other boys. "Let's see if you can still make that expression when I knock out those teeth of yours."

David standing at the back of his own group, tensed as he watched Harith try to calm down both sides.

But suddenly, Aeris with his ever so nonchalant self, raised his hands in the air and made a cheering sound.

"Buddy, you are absolutely correct there. Go, take them on. Let's whip these inferiors."

A few of Claw Gabriel came at their direction as David looked back at the door, considering if he should run away with the nameless girl.

"The next time I see any of you fighting here, you are going to spend the next night sleeping out in the cold." Right when the clash between Brynden and the tall boy seemed inevitable, a calm voice echoed in the hall, silencing the wide space in a matter of seconds.

Bernard stood at the entrance to the corridors, his hands clasped in front of him, signifying his post as a butler in their midst.

"Go to your room, Claw Zamian. You and that guy." He pointed at Brynden and Aeris, as he continued, "Both of your behaviours didn't go unnoticed. I shall register a complaint regarding the same to Master Zamian."

Harith interrupted him. "But they were also involved in this. Why us only?"

"I am amazed by your shamelessness. You want to blame them for something they never started, never wanted to be a part of? Go to your rooms, now!"

David wasted no time as he quickly slipped through them and reached the common room before everyone else. Quickly freshening up, he say down on the bed, not willing to enter the dinning hall until the others have left it.

"Uhh...hello." David craned his neck to look at the boy occupying the bed adjacent to him, greet him.

David nodded his head and even briefly raised his hand as he returned the boy's gesture.

"I am Chumiyo and you must be A17 right? It was just now that I came to know you were beside my bed. I didn't even see you yesterday." Saying that, the boy named Chumiyo laughed.

David noticed the unequal and different sizes of his eyes - one smaller than the other. His hairs were longer than the usual standards, reaching upto the back of his neck.

David smiled a little. "Well it's a good thing I got to know someone else here."

Later they went together to the dining hall, quickly eating their food as Chumiyo chattered endlessly about his family and himself.

It was to that extent that even the nameless girl had to lean into David's ears and whisper, "Big brother...he yaps so much!"

As for David, he couldn't agree any less but he still listened on. It was always a pleasant feeling to him to hear the tales of other humans, no matter how small or lackluster it would be.

Half an hour later, David bid them good night as he struggled to lay his sore limbs on the bed. But after moving around the bed for a while, he ended up sleeping.
