Foreign Land Reclamation By a Vegetable-growing Skeleton

Chapter 1432: No Good Solutions

Determining that his arm was broken by the Ancient Man Snake was merely an accident, the Star Zombie continued with his plan. He still had one arm, and as for the other one that fell off, well, it could fall away for good; it wasn't retrievable anyway.

All the Star Descendants were attached to Ange, with their souls shifted to the Monarch located on the outskirts of the Silent Death Sea. After separating, Negris squinted towards the distant Silent Death Sea for a long while, somewhat perplexed, and asked, "Is it really moving?"

The Silent Death Sea was too vast; its entirety couldn't be seen with the naked eye. It was like seeing a tentacle and claiming it was an octopus, when in fact it was merely an Ancient God's whisker.

The situation was the same now. Negris and others' sensing abilities could only detect the edge's material belt, but that was just one of the countless material belts of the Silent Death Sea. From the edge to the Abyss Core, ordinary movement methods could likely take years.

This caused the Undead Dragon People to remain here for a long time without even knowing where the core was.

Such a colossal entity, to ascertain whether it's moving or not, isn't a simple task, just like gazing at the stars: are the stars moving? Even astrologers wouldn't dare to confirm, though they might record the trajectory of stars shifting, it might just be the plane spinning.

Ange nodded.

Alright then, Negris could question the Old Immortal because the Old Immortal was often facetious, frequently teasing him, but he wouldn't doubt Ange. Ange wouldn't tease him; sometimes, it's hard even to engage Ange.

"What should we do now?" After confirming that the Silent Death Sea indeed was moving, the next step was to discuss countermeasures. The destruction of the God Star is a consequence everyone couldn't accept as it signifies the obliteration of all life in the Void.

"Actually, it might not necessarily be annihilation; it could also be the start of rebirth. Isn't it just like the Chaos Plane? Let Ange be the Ancient Godlight, watching over those life-bearing planes, bringing them Light," the Witch suggested.

Due to Big Bone, the Great Sage came over, followed by the Witch adhering to him. Later, upon hearing the intention to seek the Monarch, without a word, she just followed. After paying respects to the Monarch, she couldn't help but interject upon hearing everyone's discussion.

Upon hearing her words, everyone exchanged glances, collectively feeling... it made a lot of sense.

Anthony slapped his thigh and said, "Makes sense; we've been overthinking it, at worst, it'll just be like the Chaos Plane. Indeed, Lady Witch understands things thoroughly."

Anthony suddenly realized that the Witch's words uncovered a habit of their team, and its formation had a significant relation to him.

Anthony's devotion to Ange wasn't purely simple-minded; at that time, he was the main district Bishop of the Church of Light, the strongest contender for the Pope position. Just because of some connections with Ange and the Undead Godhood, he's willing to give up everything?

Of course not; what he valued then was Ange's ability to provide a platform where he could fully utilize his abilities and become his strongest backer.

What was his ability? Governance.

After numerous reincarnations, Anthony gradually developed an obsession: he wanted the people under his governance to live peacefully, with ample food and clothing. This didn't relate to goodness or otherwise; Anthony himself wasn't inherently kind, having a rather sneaky nature.

He merely believed he could achieve it and always pursued such a track. When someone dedicates multiple lifetimes' energy toward a single endeavor, they develop an obsession, or a sort of compulsion: he couldn't tolerate the place he governs descending into chaos like the Western District.

At that time, Ange had what he sorely needed: food, and could shield him from the Gods of Light's interference.

To ensure effective governance of the realm, mortality rate was a hard indicator. Surely, one couldn't claim good governance while watching one's governed realm filled with daily deaths, brazenly asserting success, right?

Hence, Anthony habitually viewed mortality rate as a hard indicator. Whenever planning, he pursued fewer deaths or none, which became his habit, not formed after following Ange.

Over time and time again, even arriving at the Star Burst Plane, he habitually avoided deaths, reaching the Chaos Plane, less deaths remained customary, and now still striving for fewer deaths: not due to benevolence, but because deaths represented imperfection for him, akin to a red block amidst a row of green ones.

Though Anthony didn't necessarily require perfection; when deaths were necessary, he wasn't lenient, and it remained merely a habit, not possessing coercive force.

For Ange, whether casualties occurred didn't matter much, as long as his crops weren't trampled upon.

But others didn't know; these newcomers assumed Ange's team functioned this way, pursuing no deaths whatsoever. Anything suggesting significant casualties wasn't even mentioned.

The Witch's words awakened Anthony, enlightening him instantly: the worst outcome would just resemble the Chaos Plane.

Indeed, throughout the entire process, many might perish; many ordinary individuals under the Divine Light Alliance and Friel Empire might die due to drastic changes. However, handled properly, Ange could, like the ancient days of Ancient Godlight, with Godlight's gaze projecting Light, minimize casualties entirely.

"You mean, don't stop it?" Negris asked hastily.

"Of course not. What I mean is, the worst outcome merely mirrors the Chaos Plane. But if it can be stopped, it should be stopped; otherwise, what about the Little Tree Man and Little Fireman?" Anthony replied.

"And the promise between the Little Angel and the Little Tree Man should ideally be fulfilled, or else the Little Angel becomes a faithless angel." Negris rolled his eyes; the previous words sounded like surrender without alternatives.

Anthony rubbed his nose; if not for the sudden emergence of the Star Zombie, perhaps the promise between the Little Angel and the Little Tree Man would've been completed by now. Presently, it can only be postponed, resolving the Star Zombie issue first.

"Could the Great Sage go down to the depths of the God Star, and push his arm out, then all of us attack it?" the Great Sage suggested.

"No, Great Sage; you haven't seen the Star Zombie. It's covered in Star Power; unless its Star Power is entirely consumed, you can't possibly affect its arm." someone noted.

Anthony also shook his head: "According to both the Lord and Your Majesty, it's not feasible, plus now he's surely prepared. Should the Great Sage descend to push him, perhaps he'll be dragged along."

Yet, if the arm isn't pushed out, within the environment deep in the God Star, unleashing full force attacks isn't an option, at least for the Monarch's real form, which couldn't operate there.

After lengthy discussion, they couldn't devise any effective plan. Could they only helplessly watch the Silent Death Sea crash onto the God Star?
