Information to Mastery: Points Store System

Chapter 204: Building a Foundation

"Oh? What is it?" Michael asked, slightly surprised.

During the time that he had been focusing on acquiring SP, Adrian had rarely come to him with any request. But now, it seemed that there was something that needed his attention, and it was definitely not something simple.

"The situation with Sky Technologies cannot be maintained for a long time. Even though we have found quite a number of talents, it will take quite a while to be able to train them.

Additionally, there is another problem. With only me and Lucas, we cannot train different people from different fields at the same time, to the level that they can be dependable by the company.

I was requesting, if possible, could you get a few experts for us in different fields, to make sure that the growth of the company does not take long?" Adrian immediately presented his request without hiding anything.

In actual sense, Adrian and Lucas had been trying as much as possible not to trouble Michael about something like this. But unfortunately, it was not possible.

First of all, most of the talents that they had gotten were not yet developed. As a result, it would be impossible to have them do the most complex tasks.

For the production of the phone and the power bank, it was not much of a problem. But considering that the growth of sky technologies was bound to be fast, it would eventually exceed the speed at which the talents could be developed.

Just by depending on the two of them, it was impossible to be able to sustain such a speed. As a result, Adrian felt that he might end up failing Michael's expectations, thus he came to ask for this.

The bio humans did not know about the existence of the system. It was just that, they felt that Michael had extra ordinary power, which was why they were able to appear in this world.

Additionally, Adrian, having been with Michael all this while, was obviously aware of Michael's capability. And as a result, he knew that Michael could easily bring out experts from different fields. This was the reason why he came to make the request.

Michael on the other hand seemed to have remembered something. Previously, he had actually planned that apart from Christine and Lauren, he would purchase a few more by a humans from different fields.

That way, they would be the ones that would be in charge of training the new talents for the companies under him in the future. But due to him focusing on acquiring SP, he had completely forgotten about this.

Now, being reminded by Adrian, he decisively accessed the system store. After that, he asked Adrian the main areas that required technicians.

Michael was left slightly dumbfounded when he looked at the list of fields that required experts. Was this not a little too much?

But then again, he thought, this actually made sense. Adrian was making a long-term plan, not something that was only going to benefit the present.

Michael also understood that depending on others was not as trustworthy as depending on himself. So, without hesitation, he consumed a total of 264 SP to make the purchase.

In the system store, the bio humans that were profession related, such as Christine and Lauren, they were all priced at 22 SP. So, this time, Michael made a purchase of 12 bio humans.

Since Sky Technologies intended to build its independence, it needed to assemble experts from every critical frontier of technology.

Michael felt that the bio humans should hold the highest position, as at least, they would not betray him, no matter what. As for the others, depending on the circumstances, they might end up betraying him.

While someone might be loyal to him or the company, what would happen if the lives of their loved ones are threatened, or they themselves are threatened? Who would want to sacrifice their lives or that of their loved ones, just because of their career?

Already expecting something like this to happen in the future, judging by the trend at which Sky Technologies was improving, Michael decided to take counter measures.

As long as the top experts were available, they could go ahead and train others when there was a need to. But of course, the most crucial points would still be withheld, making sure that the secrets of the company would not be exposed.

Among the experts that Michael had made a purchase for, they included a Microchip engineer, who would be tasked with designing proprietary processors and power systems, while embedded and computer systems specialist would handle firmware and deeply integrated operating platforms.

The AI and machine-learning researcher would develop on-device intelligence and security. A materials scientist and battery researcher would push advances in displays, structural alloys, and high-density energy storage.

Thermal and power-management experts would ensure efficiency and stability, while the telecommunications engineer would master next-generation connectivity.

The Optics specialist and an industrial designer would complete the effort, shaping imaging systems and unifying function with form across all future devices.

With this, the structure of sky technologies was basically completed. Additionally, with all these processing expert level knowledge in their fields, it was inevitable that the growth of Sky Technologies would be accelerated.

But of course, Michael was not yet done. He understood something crucial, that was the safety of the bio humans. Considering that these bio humans did not possess the combat skills, if they were targeted, it could be a little troublesome.

As a result, Michael decided to make a purchase of the adaptive dermal lattice armor for each one of them, and considering that each armor was priced at 500 SP, it was quite expensive.

And in the end, this time, Michael ended up spending over 6,000 SP.

If considered from the economic point of view, this seemed to be quite a waste. After all, even if one of them was killed, the 500 SP that was used to purchase the ADLA would be capable of purchasing over 20 more experts on the same level.

It was just that, despite understanding that these were bio humans, Michael treated them as humans. After all, despite the fact that they were not real humans, they were mostly not distinguishable from humans.

In fact, they only possessed advantages over humans, which was in terms of enhanced physical strength and almost unlimited energy supply. But apart from that, they matched humans in other ways.

They had their own emotions, they could think on their own, and the only thing that was binding them to Michael was their loyalty.

While it might be true that they lacked the reproductive capabilities, that was something that only applied to the low level by humans. As for Adrian's type, they were actually capable reproduction.

This was the crucial reason why, since Michael had brought them here, he thought that it was better to ensure their safety.

After this purchase, Michael ended up with a balance of 548,222 points.

This time, after making the purchase of the bio humans, Michael made sure that they were dispatched in different areas, so that it would be that Adrian would be the one hiring them.

Having already completed the purchase, Michael looked at Adrian and said, "I have already completed the acquisition of the experts. They will be reporting to Sky Technologies tomorrow."

"Thank you." Adrian felt relieved, and sincerely thanked Michael, to which Michael waived off handedly.

If Michael had decided not to get experts, Adrian would have no doubt worked extra hard, to fulfill the task given. But even then, it was inevitable that there would be some delays.

Adrian was just about to turn around and head out once again, to make arrangements for the new acquisitions, when he was suddenly stopped by Michael.

"Wait a moment." Michael said, making Adrian halt his steps, before he turned around to face Michael again.

"I would like you to leave the issue concerning Sky Technologies to Lucas for the time being. As for you, I would like you to make arrangements for the acquisition of the shares of Vanguard corporation." Michael stated.

Adrian nodded before he said, "The arrangements had already been made before, and by now, all that is remaining is for us to transfer the money after signing the share transfer agreement.

As you had previously asked, the meeting between the shareholders and us was kept confidential, so, there is nobody else who knows about the plan for the acquisition of the shares of Vanguard Corporation."

Michael nodded in satisfaction. Due to the investigation from the Santos family, Michael had decided to do things swiftly. He did not want someone else to start interfering in his matters.

So, he thought, he would just make arrangements first, then take over all the shares of Vanguard Corporation in one fell swoop.

"Alright. Make arrangements for that. Let the signing of the contracts be done tomorrow. We don't necessarily need to sign the physical contracts, as I don't plan to go to the central province for the time being.

So, we can sign the electronic contracts, and immediately after the contracts are signed, you can transfer the money. Additionally, you can increase the amount that you earn from the stock market, make it that your card balance is maintained at $10 billion." Michael gave his instructions.

"Okay, let me make the contact with those that have already agreed to sell their shares. This time, we should be able to acquire 32% of the remaining shares of Vanguard Corporation. Quite a number of shareholders are unwilling to sell their shares, but we made sure that they would not reveal our interaction to anyone else." Adrian stated clearly.
