Information to Mastery: Points Store System

Chapter 87: Delusions

"Mr. Santos, we will need to enroll your biometrics first." Martin said to Michael when they got to the door.

The procedure was quite simple, and in just a matter of about 2 minutes, Michael had already completed all the necessary procedures.

And with that, using a fingerprint scan, the door was opened, revealing what was behind it.

Beyond it was the private residence, a suite. The living area was softly lit, with warm-toned wooden floors and a wide rug that softened every footstep.

A compact but high-end kitchenette stretched along one wall, its appliances hidden behind matte white panels. It carried only the essentials, but each piece was premium; silent induction surfaces, a smart refrigerator, and an automated dispenser for late-night beverages.

Down a short corridor sat the bedroom, the most serene part of the suite. The bed, larger than a king bed but not overly indulgent, was framed by a headboard made of soft fabric and subtle backlighting.

The entire office and residence were secured with advanced biometric locks, soundproofed walls, and a private elevator connecting the suite directly to the underground parking.

Michael was quite satisfied with this office that was meant for him. In case there was a need for him to stay here, he could stay within the suite.

But of course, he could not see when that would happen, considering that he really did not have any plans of staying here.

During the tour around the chairman's office, only Michael and Martin were moving around. As for the other company executives, they had been instructed to go to the boardroom, located on the 17th floor.

Since the tour was already over, the two of them finally headed for the boardroom. As they walked into the boardroom, Michael looked around.

A long wooden table ran through the center, surrounded by leather chairs, which were currently occupied by the company's executives.

One wall of glass gave a full view of the city, while the opposite wall had a large screen for presentations.

As Michael and Martin got in, all the executives stood up, as Michael took the seat at the head of the table.

As soon as he sat down, Michael waved for the others to take their seats as well. After that, Martin began speaking.

"As all of you have already been informed, the company was fully acquired by Mr. Santos, making him the sole shareholder and owner of the company.

Today, Mr. Santos is here for a visit. If there are any changes that are to be made, he will inform us. Welcome, Mr. Santos." Martin spoke, before he took the seat that was on the right of the head seat.

Michael looked at Martin and said, "There is no need to worry about those issues for now. For the time being, there are no changes that I'm going to make.

But in the near future, you should be prepared for massive changes. I am not satisfied with this company just being a giant in the eastern province.

I want this company to dominate the entire technology industry. But, that is something that we have to do slowly, and I will make arrangements for that.

Furthermore, there is someone that you will be communicating with, I will give you his contact. In case of anything, just report it to him, and he will tell me."

Even though he had the plans of founding a technology company, one that would be able to dominate the world, that was still something that would take some time.

Of course, it was not that far from now, considering how efficiently he was able to acquire SP. All that he needed to do was to acquire a few more companies, making things more convenient for him.

And at the moment, he was actually targeting the companies that were located in the central province. Those companies held a lot of power, and just acquiring one of them would be enough to be able to stabilize things.

It was just that, unlike when he acquired Sky Technologies, Michael had the intention of going all in. He wanted to acquire a company in full from the start, rather than just acquiring shares first.

So, he might have to wait for a month or so, in order to be able to acquire the company that he had already targeted.

Martin and the other executives were surprised by Michael's words. Of course, they were relieved that there were no changes that were going to be made for the time being.

At least, this meant that they would be able to keep their jobs for the time being. As for what massive changes Michael was talking about, they hoped that they would not negatively affect them.

But something that caught their attention was the fact that Michael wanted to dominate the entire technology industry. Was this a youngster's delusion?

While it might be true that Sky Technologies was a giant in the technology industry within the eastern province, that was just it.

Moreover, Sky Technologies was not involved in items that required high technological levels like phones, laptops and the like.

To be able to dominate the entire technology industry, it implied that they would have to venture into those fields as well. But, by now, those feels had already gotten saturated, and the bigger brands had already established themselves.

Even if Sky Technologies managed to produce a device like a phone, that was way better than those from the bigger companies, most of the people would still go for those from the bigger companies.

This was after all a matter of reputation. While Sky Technologies was reputed for the wearable devices, it had zero reputation in the other technological fields.

So, for most of them, they thought, these were just a delusions of a young man. After he received a setback, he would definitely be clear headed.

But of course, despite what they were thinking about, nobody expressed their feelings out loud.

As he observed the people around, Michael seemed to know what they were thinking. But, he did not bother to clarify anything.

As long as these people cooperated, and did not do anything that would affect his plans, he could keep them. But if they could not, he would replace them.

With his current skills, he did not necessarily need to use bio humans. In fact, he would only use bio humans when necessary.

For things like management and so on, he could scout for great talents, with clean backgrounds. Then, he might be able to poach them from wherever they were, bringing them into his company.

That way, he would not end up affecting the economy of the world by bringing in so many bio humans to replace humans.

If there was a talent, he would use it. And if there was nobody to be used in a particular field, he would end up resorting to using bio humans.

Martin and the others were silent for a few seconds, before Martin stood up again.

He looked at Michael and said, "Mr. Santos, I believe that you already know about the device that we are supposed to launch tomorrow?"

Martin himself was not really sure if Michael had done his research on the company before acquiring it.

He knew, for the young masters and misses from the big corporations and families within the central province, they might end up acquiring a company just gain experience.

And in most cases, the companies that were used by those youngsters ended up in ruins. Hopefully, this young man was not the same, though everything pointed in that direction.

"Yeah, I know about that." Michael responded calmly. He could tell, Martin was testing him out.

Before Martin could say anything, Michael simply said, "You can go ahead with the plans that you had made before, I won't interfere. Though, you should start making preparations, abandon all the current ongoing projects, and prepare to start another one.

The R&D department should be on standby, as there are some specialists that I will be bringing in in a few days. At that time, we will begin the plan and the changes that I talked about before."

Martin and the other executives in the boardroom could not help but blink in surprise. At the same time, they wondered, what kind of plans did this young man have?

But when he said that he would be bringing in some specialists, they all felt relieved. At least, he did not want them to start by creating a phone of their own.

They did have experts, but those expert did not major in those fields. So, even if they were given finances, the chances of successfully creating a phone of their own was quite low.

After all, they would not be just creating any phone, but a phone that would be able to match the current level of technology. And, it had to be able to compete against the other phones.

Otherwise, if the level of the phone was too low, it would be a very big loss for the company.

"I still need to do something, so I will be heading out." Michael stood up, preparing to leave.

Since he had already met up with the company's executives, there was no need for him to continue lingering around. It seemed, for further observation before his next plan, he would have to ask Adrian to take care of it.

Martin left together with Michael, taking the elevator to the underground parking lot.

But as they were getting out of the elevator, someone suddenly called out. "Michael? So, you were also attracted over?"
