The deflection capability alone was invaluable, he'd struggled with Mub's axes because he couldn't effectively parry them. Now he potentially could.
Satisfied, he unsummoned the sword back to his inventory and turned his attention to his chakrams.
He summoned both spinning blades, one hovering above each palm. They were simple in design, circular blades with sharpened outer edges and grips in the center, perfectly balanced for throwing.
[Weapon Selected: Chakrams (Pair)]
[Enhancement Available: Yes]
[Cores Required: 2 per chakram (4 total)]
Four cores total. That would leave him with only two remaining, but the chakrams were essential weapons for his fighting style. The investment was worth it.
[Proceed with enhancement?]
Tatehan confirmed.
Four black cores materialized and divided themselves, two floating around each chakram. The same process began: orbiting, intensifying glow, sudden contact, melting integration.
The chakrams began to spin rapidly in mid-air as the enhancement energy went through them. They spun faster and faster until they became dark blurs, and Tatehan had to step back to avoid being cut by the wild rotation.
Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the spinning stopped.
The transformed chakrams hovered perfectly still in the air before him.
They were beautiful.
The previously simple circular blades had become intricate works of deadly art. The outer edges now had a serrated, wave-like pattern that looked like it would tear through anything it touched. The dark metal had the same shifting quality as his enhanced sword, black flowing into gray and back again.
But most impressively, each chakram now had three distinct cutting edges instead of one. The blades had somehow developed internal divisions that created multiple striking surfaces, all independently sharpened to lethal precision.
[Enhancement Complete: Chakrams → Tri-Edge Shadow chakrams]
[New Capabilities:
Flight Speed: Increased by 350% - virtually impossible to track with normal vision
Multi-Target Capability: Each chakram can now strike and eliminate up to three separate targets in a single throw
Auto-Tracking: Enhanced targeting system allows chakrams to adjust trajectory mid-flight to hit moving targets
Penetration Power: Can pierce through multiple layers of armor or multiple enemies in sequence
Return Efficiency: Improved return mechanism ensures faster and more reliable retrieval]
[Combat Effectiveness: Drastically Improved]
Tatehan caught both chakrams as they floated down to him, one in each hand. They felt perfect—balanced, deadly, eager to be thrown.
Three targets per chakram meant he could potentially take out six enemies with a single coordinated throw. That was insane.
He unsummoned them with a satisfied grin and pulled out his pistol.
The weapon was simple, peak even.
[Weapon Selected: Pistol]
[Enhancement Available: Yes]
[Cores Required: 2]
His last two cores. This would use up his entire supply of enhancement cores, but he'd already decided all three weapons deserved the upgrade.
[Proceed with enhancement?]
Confirmed.
The final two black cores emerged and attached themselves to the pistol. The weapon began to glow, its entire frame shimmering with dark energy as the enhancement took hold.
The transformation was less visually dramatic than the bladed weapons, but no less impressive. The pistol's frame became sleeker, more refined. The barrel extended slightly and took on a hexagonal shape.
[Enhancement Complete: Pistol → Devastator Hand Cannon]
[New Capabilities:
Destructive Power: Each shot now contains enough energy to completely destroy a small structure (approx. 15m² footprint)
Penetration: Projectiles can punch through reinforced walls and multiple layers of heavy armor
Splash Damage: Explosion radius increased by 400%
Targeting System: Integrated smart-targeting for improved accuracy]
[Combat Effectiveness: Drastically Improved]
Tatehan stared at the transformed weapon in his hand. Each shot could now destroy a small house. That was terrifying power to hold in one hand.
He carefully unsummoned it, making a mental note to be extremely careful about where and when he used that particular weapon. Collateral damage was now a serious concern.
A new notification appeared:

Tatehan stared at his stats in amusement. His system had now given all of his weapon and frankly it felt weird to look at.
He had watched movies back on Earth about superheroes who summoned their weapons from speaking the names.
If that was the case with him and he wanted to summon his pistol, would he say:
' Devastator Hand Cannon!' ?
Tatehan dismissed the display and looked around at the eerie, boulder-strewn area where he'd fought the Iron-Jaw Scavengers.
He walked back to the dust rider and mounted it, taking one last look at the scene of the battle. The creature corpses were already beginning to attract smaller scavengers—tiny insect-like things that skittered across the ground.
Where had those Iron-Jaw creatures even come from? Were they native to this specific region? Did they have a nest somewhere nearby? Were there more of them?
It was shocking actually. When he first arrived here all he had seen was nothing. Nothing at all. Not a single monster in sight.
But he was surrounded with boulders though, boulders and pebbles. Perhaps the creatures hid behind a boulder.
With a shrug, he decided that were questions for whenever.
Right now, he needed to continue his journey. The spaceship was still hours away, and he'd already spent more time here than intended.
But it was worth it though, he now felt much power with this weapon upgrade. As shown in his system profile of the iron scavengers cores, it was rare. If the core was rare that meant that the creatures possessing them were rare.
This weren't creatures you see easily.
As he activated the dust rider and felt the fresh shadow goblin core power it to life, Tatehan couldn't help but smile.
This weapon enhancement process was worth it!
