"Tianlong techniques, by far, have been devised into three separate groups—Body, Mind, and Soul." Tianlong Bai's voice softly echoed in a spacious and well-lit wooden room.

Sitting atop a cozy single bed, Tianlong Bai looked down upon Feng Tian. He was sitting cross-legged at a hand's distance on the ground.

"All three of these techniques, although individual, are meant to be learned together to create a perfect sense of balance in someone's body. However, handling all three of these techniques simultaneously is impossible unless it is done by someone with a strong foundation in cultivation. Thus, you will start off by learning one of these three techniques. The choice, once again, is yours." The old man calmly brushed his long beard, looking at the child with a gentle smile.

"As their name suggests, the body strengthens your physique beyond mortal boundaries, making it an impenetrable powerhouse of defense and offense. The mind encompasses the boundary of imagination and gives you the perfect control over the forces of nature. While the soul, on the other hand, evolves into the manifestation of one's essence and becomes indestructible." He explained in a steady tone, pointing out the goods and the bads of each technique in a subtle way.

Lucian simply nodded as he continued to absorb the old man's words. 'So the first increases physical strength to the extreme. The second pushes one's energy control to perfection. And, third, it transforms one's soul into a greater power and makes it harder to be destroyed.'

"At some point, you will need to learn all three. However, the path you choose now will be your first and the most dominant since it will become the very foundation for your future cultivation."

"Given your excellent growth and potential due to age, I suggest you choose the Body technique. Or you might as well choose the same techniques as mine—the mind. Of course, you're free to choose the soul techniques as well. But do know that those techniques are the weakest amongst all three and are definitely not recommended." Tianlong Bai continued.

Hearing his words, Lucian fell into a deep contemplation. But his thoughts didn't last long, since a sharp, almost mechanical alert jolted him awake.

*Ding!*

Before his eyes and the old man's face, a system window materialized.

Ever since his arrival in this world, Lucian did not care about getting stronger. Although it was a part of his concerns, it wasn't important enough to overpower his need to survive.

Even if he were to stay still, he believed that his overpowered system and skills might push him forward. But as for his survival, he wasn't sure.

A destroyed clan, a powerless family, and a young age—he had all the qualities of becoming a bully's punching bag.

'Awaken dormant potential, huh? If it's talking about this new body's potential, then I might get my hands on the lost arts of the Feng Clan. But if it's not, I might just awaken the Dying Star's Primordial Physique again since it is a part of my original body's potential.' The more Lucian thought about it, the more one-sided his decisions became.

Before long, with his mind ready, Lucian looked the old man in the eye and calmly answered. "Master, I would like to learn the Soul Techniques."

For a moment, the silence slowly caved in Lucian's mind, as he couldn't describe the old man's gaze anymore.

However, it was not long after that he got his answer. Not from his master, but from the system.

Lucian slightly widened his eyes but almost immediately lowered his gaze. "I see," he mouthed words without letting a single sound out.

"So he has already given up on me? That easily?" Lucian couldn't quite believe his eyes upon seeing the system's alert.

But recalling the sudden change in his gaze, Lucian couldn't help but accept it. He wasn't sad or disappointed, just confused.

Mere moments ago, the old man was being gentle and nice. But almost immediately, once he chose the weakest technique, his interest disappeared.

In his mind, Lucian yelled at the top of his lungs. "System, pull up the familiarity tab!"

The system, just like always, responded immediately.
