A Cunning Pervert in the Cultivation World

Chapter 586: Little Ling’s Small Suprise.

Chapter 586: Chapter 586: Little Ling’s Small Suprise.

’Still the same even while sleeping.’

Li Feng sighed softly and lowered his hand.

For some reason...

...he could not help missing that arrogant, smug face of his senior sister after not seeing it for so long.

But at that moment, Little Ling’s cheerful voice rang out.

A slender green branch stretched over from the side of the wooden house and lightly tapped Li Feng’s shoulder, as if greeting him.

’Master! You’re back!’

The leaves rustled happily.

Li Feng glanced at the branch and gave it a small pat.

"I’m back."

Little Ling’s leaves shook even more brightly.

Then the branch pointed toward the crimson cocoon in front of the house.

’Big Sister Yue told me that the big sister inside the cocoon is someone important to you, Master. So I kept her here and made sure she stayed safe~’

The leaves rustled more softly this time.

’The cocoon has been very quiet... but it feels warmer than before.’

At her words, Li Feng looked a little surprised.

"You already know about Yue Lan?"

He had never told Little Ling about Yue Lan’s status before.

But judging by her words, it seemed Little Ling already thought quite highly of her.

Little Ling’s leaves rustled cheerfully.

’Yes! The Divine Brick told me that Big Sister Yue is your wife, so I have to treat her with respect!’

At those words, Li Feng chuckled and nodded.

"That’s right. Treat her well."

Then he glanced at the crimson cocoon again.

"The one inside that cocoon will be... my wife soon too. Make sure you keep an eye on her."

Little Ling’s leaves rustled at once, as if she had just received another important mission.

’Understood, Master! I’ll watch over Big Sister inside the cocoon too!’

The slender branch sway, as if this was a very serious duty.

Li Feng smiled and gently patted the slender branch.

"Thank you. And her name is Fen Ziyan."

Little Ling’s leaves rustled softly, as if carefully memorizing it.

’Fen Ziyan... Big Sister Fen Ziyan. I’ll remember.’

After checking the cocoon and seeing that there was no problem, Li Feng stayed there for a while, chatting with Little Ling.

Then Little Ling suddenly brightened even more.

Her leaves shook excitedly, and the slender branch bounced in front of him.

’Master! Master! I have a surprise for you!’

Li Feng smiled.

"Oh? A surprise?"

Little Ling’s leaves rustled even more excitedly.

The slender branch tugged at his sleeve and pointed toward a hidden opening in the trunk.

’Come, come! I prepared it while you were gone!’

Under Little Ling’s lead, Li Feng followed her into a hole in the tree trunk that she opened.

The opening led deeper into the Divine Tree itself.

As soon as he stepped inside, the air changed, and he finally realized that the inside of the tree was... huge.

It was like there was an entirely different world in it.

And it was filled with warm wood-scent mixed with faint golden spiritual light.

The space was far larger than it should have been, as if the tree had opened a hidden workshop just for her.

"Ohh?"

Li Feng was a bit surprised to find this space, and then he noticed those things...

Rows of unfinished wooden puppets hung from thick vines above him.

Some were small.

Some were human-sized.

A few were already taller than a grown man.

Their arms dangled loosely, joints bound with wood, faces still blank.

Dozens of them lined the high walls like silent soldiers waiting to be born.

Further in, more frames were stacked neatly, some with carved limbs, some with only a half-shaped chest.

The entire space looked like a puppet manufactory.

Li Feng slowed his steps and looked around.

He couldn’t help but murmur with a strange smile.

"...You’ve been busy."

Little Ling’s voice rang out proudly.

’Of course! Master said quality is more important than quantity. So I made a proper place to build them!’

Then the path opened again.

At the deepest part of the secret manufacturing plant stood something that made Li Feng stop completely.

...It was a gigantic wooden puppet.

It was still unfinished, yet it already dominated the chamber.

The figure was skinny, almost bone-thin, but still towering as it hung forward with one knee on the ground.

Even in its unfinished frame, it was tall enough to make the surrounding puppets look like children.

Its body was made of pale-gold wood, carved into sharp, layered plates that resembled divine armor rather than ordinary timber.

A deep blue inner cloth hung from its waist like a battle sash, fluttering faintly even without wind.

Its head was a horned helm, fierce and bird-like, with a long golden crest sweeping back.

One hand already gripped a slender golden spear so tall it nearly touched the ceiling.

And what shocked Li Feng most was what lay behind it.

Gigantic wing fragments hung in the air, not yet fully attached.

They were vast golden planes of carved wood and light, each one large enough to blot out the sky if they ever spread open.

Even incomplete, the puppet carried a strange oppressive pressure.

And Li Feng felt it the moment his eyes landed on it.

...A heavy, ancient will pressed against his chest, as if a war god was sleeping inside that skinny golden frame.

His expression turned serious as he instinctively realized what it was.

The War God’s Type IX: Sky Titan Puppet.

The puppet blueprint he had gotten from the gacha and given to Little Ling to play with.

"...This thing is still unfinished, and it already feels like this?"

Li Feng was shocked.

It had to be known that Li Feng was far from weak.

Yet this puppet, even in its incomplete state, managed to make him feel... threatened.

Little Ling’s leaves trembled with pride.

’Yes! The blueprint Master gave me is very strong and profound. I haven’t finished the core yet. It seems to require a powerful soul... something far stronger than the ordinary souls I have nurtured.’

Then her voice turned a little aggrieved.

’Also, it took almost all of the tree’s power! And my genius too!’

The slender branch poked Li Feng’s arm as if she wanted credit.

’The materials needed to make this puppet were completely different from what I have here. I had to adjust a lot of the structure and replace many parts according to what the Divine Tree could actually produce. If I followed the blueprint exactly, I wouldn’t even have been able to start it!’

Li Feng just smiled and walked forward.

He looked up.

Even though he was tall, he barely reached the puppet’s chest.

The unfinished golden frame loomed over him like a silent giant, and behind it the huge wing fragments stretched even higher, hanging in the air like a second sky of carved gold.

For a moment, Li Feng could only stare.

"...This thing is really going to be a monster once it’s finished."

At those words, Little Ling’s leaves rustled proudly.

Then, as if she could not hold it in any longer, her presence brightened with a mischievous air.

The slender branch swayed in front of him, almost like she was grinning.

’Hehe... Master, I still have another thing to show you~’

Li Feng’s eyes opened in surprise.

"There’s more?"

Little Ling’s leaves rustled mischievously.

The slender branch tugged him toward another hidden passage deeper inside the Divine Tree.

’Just follow me, Master!’

Li Feng followed Little Ling’s guidance, and soon another path sloped downward, then opened again.

And once again, Li Feng was shocked at the sight.

This space was even larger than the manufacturing plant where the Sky Titan was being built.

The ceiling rose so high that mist gathered near the top, and the walls were beautiful wood veined with faint golden light.

The air here was heavier, quieter, as if even sound did not dare move too loudly.

And at the center of the chamber sat another being.

It was a sleeping giant.

The figure, with a smooth wooden face that had no features, sat upon a huge wooden throne carved directly from the tree itself, so large that the chair alone looked like a palace gate.

Its body was broader and more ancient than the Sky Titan’s skinny frame, covered in layered bark-armor that had grown rather than been carved.

Many long vine-tubes were stuck into its shoulders, chest, and spine, pulsing slowly.

Golden light traveled through those vines like living blood, flowing from the Divine Tree into the giant’s body.

But right now, its head was lowered and its eyes were closed.

Even asleep, the pressure it gave off was vast and deep, like a mountain that had learned how to breathe.

Li Feng stopped at the edge of the platform and stared.

"...What is this?"

He truly stared in shock.

The being on the throne was clearly not a puppet.

He could tell it was a strange living lifeform.

And worse of all... the pressure coming from it was insane.

Li Feng could even feel that this thing might be even stronger than the False Crown at its peak!
