Chapter 765: Chapter 375: We Are a Rookie Squad
"Is it really that serious?"
"Go back and watch the recording yourself!"
Li Chang’an said flatly.
"I don’t want to see the same mistake on the next mission!"
"Fine, I’ll practice later!"
Sun Yang sighed.
"But seriously, our squad’s performance was pretty good this time, right? We’re a rookie squad, after all. It’s not easy to do this well!"
"Good performance isn’t the same as perfect!"
Shen Qiuyue said in a cold tone.
"We’re still a long way off!"
Han Ruoxi walked over, sat on the floor, and tossed her Arc Bracelet aside.
"Alright, enough with all the serious talk.
We don’t have a mission for once, so can’t we take a break?"
"You can rest, but don’t let your guard down!"
Li Chang’an glanced up at her.
"Command could assign a new mission at any time!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know!"
Han Ruoxi waved her hand dismissively.
"I just want to relax for a bit. You don’t have to be so tense!"
"There’s a limit to how much you should relax!"
Li Chang’an said flatly.
"Life in the Combat Group isn’t like the outside world. A moment of carelessness could get you killed!"
"Here we go with the lectures again!"
Han Ruoxi pouted.
"Brother Chang’an, were you born to be a teacher or something?"
"Fine, don’t listen then!"
Li Chang’an shook his head and put his Saw Chain Sword back in its gear bag.
"But when something actually happens, don’t blame me for not warning you!"
Han Ruoxi rolled her eyes and didn’t reply.
Bai Lin sat to the side the whole time, his head down as he operated his terminal.
He seemed completely unaffected by the conversation around him, his gaze fixed on the screen.
"Bai Lin, what are you up to now?"
Han Ruoxi leaned over curiously.
"Don’t tell me you’re analyzing data again?"
"Organizing the training exercise recordings!"
Bai Lin didn’t even look up.
"And checking if we missed any details!"
"You really never take a break!"
Han Ruoxi shook her head in resignation.
"Can’t you be more like Sun Yang and slack off for a bit?"
"I don’t need to slack off!"
Bai Lin replied coolly.
"Besides, I want to make sure we come back alive from the next mission!"
His words made Han Ruoxi pause for a moment, then she scratched her head.
"Alright, do whatever you want then!"
A short distance away, Sun Yang, who had been resting on the ground, suddenly stood up as if he’d remembered something.
"Hey, aren’t we getting resupplied today? I remember hearing that the base was going to restock every squad’s equipment and resources this week!"
"Is that right?"
Han Ruoxi’s eyes lit up.
"Does that mean there’ll be more fruit wine?"
"All you think about is fruit wine!"
Shen Qiuyue stood up and dusted off her Armor.
"How much of the supply drop is actually useful for you?"
"I just want to look!"
Han Ruoxi got up and clapped her hands together.
"Brother Chang’an, shouldn’t we head over to logistics too?"
"There was indeed a notice about a supply drop!"
Li Chang’an nodded.
"Since we don’t have a mission, let’s go check it out!"
The group packed their gear and headed toward the logistics department.
On the way, Sun Yang walked and mused.
"Hey, you guys think we’ll get better weapons in this supply drop? I saw another squad get new-model Pulse Guns last time. They’re twice as powerful as mine!"
"Want new weapons? Depends if you’re qualified!"
Shen Qiuyue said coldly.
"New equipment is distributed based on mission performance. It’s not our turn yet!"
"Don’t be such a downer!"
Sun Yang gave a wry smile.
"But you’re right. To get stuff like that, we’d probably have to perform some great service!"
"Then don’t even think about it!"
Han Ruoxi patted his shoulder.
"You’d better just stick with your old piece of junk!"
Soon, they arrived at the logistics department.
A logistics officer was busy at work, and supplies were stacked neatly in the warehouse.
"Insect Hunter Squad?"
A logistics staffer glanced up at them.
"Here to pick up your supplies?"
"Yes!"
Li Chang’an nodded.
"Has our squad’s resource manifest been released yet?"
"One moment, let me check!"
The staffer looked down and worked for a moment, then handed over a digital manifest.
"Here are your supplies. Go to the warehouse area and pick them up according to the serial number!"
Li Chang’an took the manifest and glanced at its contents.
"We have to get them ourselves?"
"That’s right, go get ’em yourself!"
The staffer waved his hand dismissively.
"The warehouse administrator will help you confirm the quantities!"
The squad followed Li Chang’an to the warehouse. After checking the serial number, the administrator pointed to a pile of packed supplies.
"These are all yours. Just sign here and you can take them away!"
Han Ruoxi couldn’t wait and ran over. She opened a crate of supplies and, sure enough, found several bottles of fruit wine.
She excitedly picked up a bottle.
"I knew it! This supply drop is pretty good!"
"Can you not be so dramatic?"
Shen Qiuyue stood to the side, frowning.
"There’s also ammo and equipment in the supplies. That’s what’s important!"
"I know, I know!"
Han Ruoxi reluctantly put down the fruit wine and started moving the other items, muttering under her breath.
Meanwhile, Sun Yang complained in a low voice as he carried a box.
"This stuff is so heavy. Couldn’t logistics have just delivered it?"
"Stop complaining and hurry up so we can get back!"
Li Chang’an urged them on as he moved supplies.
"Command might have a mission for us tonight. Don’t waste time!"
After a great deal of effort, the group finally managed to haul the supplies back to their dorm.
The first thing Han Ruoxi did was open the crate of fruit wine. She eagerly grabbed a bottle, took a swig, and a satisfied smile spread across her face.
"Now this is one of the little joys of life in the Combat Group!"
she exclaimed with feeling.
"Leave it to you to find joy in this!"
Shen Qiuyue shook her head helplessly and sat down to start organizing the supply manifest.
Sun Yang leaned against the wall, panting.
