Chapter 1604: Chapter 1604: Everyone, Follow Me
If not for relying on this Phoenix Heart Stone, Han Yan wouldn’t know how long it would take for it to be filled with spiritual power again.
With a shift in mental state, the mysterious light patterns rippled out in circles, presenting a scene both illusory and fantastical before the two people’s eyes.
The ethereal celestial space, stars dotted around, almost transparent space suspended in the void, remarkably similar to her Star Plate Space.
Yet within that space, there were two figures long confronting each other, occasionally clashing with a move, then withdrawing a few steps, neither gaining any advantage. It was apparent that both were worn out, and it was unknown how long they had been confronting each other like this.
"Grandmother!" Seeing the woman among them, Han Yan exclaimed.
Though looking through the Heavenly Secret Mirror, everything appeared hazy and illusory, Han Yan still recognized the woman, identical in appearance to the grandmother’s face in the portrait given to her by her grandfather. Only the grandmother in the portrait was elegant and graceful, middle-aged yet still picturesque, whereas the present grandmother was visibly much older and more haggard.
Seeing the grandmother who aged at least twenty years beyond the portrait, Han Yan’s heart was pained; the grandmother became this way because everything she did was for her.
Opposite the grandmother, the man wore ragged soft armor, his long messy hair draped over his shoulders, also covering half his face. Though his features were unclear, Han Yan could still guess that this must be the final mortal enemy from the Divine Martial World as mentioned by Star Illusion Thousand Machine.
The scene changed, and the figures of the grandmother and that person disappeared, soon replaced by several more figures appearing in front of them.
"Huayue!" Han Yan exclaimed again on seeing the foremost person.
The foremost person was Huayue, naturally followed by Zirong, Jiang Yuzhe, and Tang Bufan.
All were in tattered clothes, fatigued, while a storm swept past them, pulverizing even the man-high giant stone.
Judging by the path of the storm, it was clearly blocked with all their might by Huayue and the others, slightly changing its direction, while they too exerted themselves fully.
However, they were somewhat lucky, compared to the Desolate Storm that swept away everything seen earlier by Han Yan and the others, this storm was noticeably smaller and weaker, otherwise, even if they risked their lives, they couldn’t have shifted it at all.
After a while, Huayue and the others regained some strength, stood up again, and continued to move forward.
What surprised Han Yan was they weren’t heading towards the Heavenly Curtain or Beiyuan Misty Plain but another direction.
Where are they going? Han Yan was baffled.
A flash of light returned the Heavenly Secret Mirror to its original state, apparently exhausting its spiritual power again.
Yet her grandmother’s weary face, and the image of Huayue and others dragging their tired steps forward, still flashed before Han Yan’s eyes.
"We’ll set off immediately." Han Yan wiped her slightly moist eyes and said to Ye Lanfeng.
"Where to?" Ye Lanfeng asked.
"First, find Huayue and them; grandmother and that man are trapped in a prohibition space, they should be able to hold on for a while, besides I can’t find them, better rescue Huayue and the others first." Han Yan said calmly.
Though seeing her grandmother’s plight pierced her heart, she didn’t lose her sanity, she knew very clearly that to find her grandmother, she must first find the entry to that space, with her current strength, unless she digs three feet through the Beiyuan Misty Plain inch by inch, it’s impossible.
In comparison, saving Huayue and the others is more realistic.
Ye Lanfeng nodded, an expression of relief in his eyes, seeing Han Yan remain calm amidst her grandmother’s crisis indicated she was no longer affected by the Destruction Sword Dao, his heart was at ease.
Re-sealing the cave abode, Han Yan gathered Zhuang Ping’an and others to prepare for departure.
"Brother Ye, why don’t you stay around to cultivate for a while, when the Heaven and Earth Power of Beiyuan Misty Plain shifts from weak to strong, you can retreat in time." Han Yan said to Ye Fengyun and the others.
Their strength was weaker by a large margin, plus not being a Descendant of Divine Guardian with Bloodline Awakening, going to the Heavenly Curtain with them meant courting death, Han Yan didn’t want to harm them.
"Alright, let them stay here temporarily, I’ll go with you." Ye Fengyun nodded.
"You’re going too?" Han Yan hesitated, uncertain how to persuade him without discouraging him.
"My bloodline is awakened too, thanks to you." Ye Fengyun spoke as he took out the Heavenly Destiny Star Plate, his gaze at Han Yan filled with gratitude.
Han Yan then remembered the Star Plate’s greatest use was to awaken bloodlines.
Since Ye Fengyun had also undergone bloodline awakening, he stood a chance to receive inheritance from those twelve powerful beings, thus Han Yan no longer persuaded him, and bid farewell to the other cultivators from Anyun before leading everyone to continue toward the Heavenly Curtain.
In the images from the Heavenly Secret Mirror, she saw the nearby mountain shapes were ninety percent similar to those on their path, very likely they were just ahead. Yet Ye Lanfeng had mentioned that due to the mist’s influence, everything seen in Beiyuan Misty Plain seemed like mirages, so she dared not be certain, could only proceed cautiously.
Once out of the valley, everyone felt a weight on them, the speed of Qi operation slowed considerably. Considering the Desolate Storm that could appear at any time, and possibly the abyss right beneath their feet, everyone was bracing as if facing a formidable enemy, desperately circulating Qi and gathering Divine Sense.
Compared to yesterday, the distance to the Heavenly Curtain was nearer, the Heaven and Earth Rules naturally even more chaotic, Heaven and Earth Power even stronger; shortly after setting out, everyone was already panting.
"Don’t waste Divine Sense, just follow me." Han Yan wished to reunite with Huayue and the others soon, lest they encounter danger, and certainly didn’t want to waste time slowly, she said to Zhuang Ping’an and others.
"What?" Zhuang Ping’an and others paused, surprised at Han Yan.
"I’ll go first, you follow me, if there’s danger, I’ll warn you." Han Yan said.
After cultivating the Divine Martial Refining Soul Technique, her Six Senses were far superior to others, even ordinary Sword Saint Realm experts couldn’t compare to her, having consumed the Phoenix Heart Stone, her Divine Sense underwent substantial change, even with closed eyes, she could see scenes several dozen meters away. However, Han Yan initially was unsure if her vision could penetrate the mist outside the valley, dared not take risks lightly.
But throughout this journey, Han Yan was pleasantly surprised to discover that the dense, unswayed mist had no effect on her whatsoever, her gaze easily penetrated it.
