Chapter 533: Demonic Beasts

Lin Xuan Qi noticed them but before he could do anything, there were howls and cries that sounded in the surroundings.

The birds that were perched on top of the canopy of the ancient forest went into flight.

Some of the canopy began to shake and the ground started to tremble a little.

Everyone turned around and drew out their weapons.

"What’s happening?" One of them asked but the Qing Feng Sect disciples shook their heads at the cultivator.

"We are only here to guide you and we will not be involved in any part of your struggles or rewards in the secret realm, that was what we were instructed to do."

One of the Qing Feng Sect disciples replied coldly.

The cultivators wanted to protest but they had more important matters to deal with.

Demonic beasts had emerged out from the woods and there were around a hundred of them while there were only around fifty cultivators.

By now, the cultivators were surrounded, including Lao Er and Ling Er.

Lin Xuan Qi stood by their side, ready to get into action when the need arose.

Trot.

Without warning, some of the Demonic Deer charged in a line towards the cultivators.

Their antlers glowed in a bright amber glow and fireballs shot out at the cultivators from the antlers.

Boom!

Explosions ensued when the fireballs hit the cultivators who weren’t fast enough to dodge.

Blood splattered out from their wounds and cries of pain could be heard in the surroundings.

But it was not over for them.

The Demonic Deer lowered their heads and continued their charge towards the cultivators.

"Die!" The cultivators started to use their swords, fists or any other means and fought with the Demonic Deer.

Meanwhile, Lin Xuan Qi had pulled Lao Er and Ling Er to the side.

"Let me deal with it." The low coarse voice sounded from the incense urn again and Lao Er nodded his head.

He had thought that Grand Ancestor Lin must have used his powers and got them out of danger by pulling them out of danger.

His suspicions of Grand Ancestor Lin helping them get rid of the cultivators earlier were now confirmed to be true to Lao Er.

That made Lao Er feel bad for not being able to help.

Lin Xuan Qi directed his Five-Element Qi to his fist and he unleashed a torrent of punches at the Demonic Deer’s neck.

The Demonic Deer got hit and fell to the ground one by one, giving out a bleat before they lay motionlessly on the ground.

Blood slowly pooled under their bodies from the wounds they had sustained from his attacks.

Lao Er and Ling Er gave out a sigh of relief when their imminent danger was taken care of by Grand Ancestor Lin again.

It was, however, not over.

Squeals could be heard as Demonic Boars charged with their tusks that gave out a brown glow.

Pointed spikes made of rocks rose from the ground in a trail towards Lao Er, Ling Er and the other cultivators.

Crack.

Lin Xuan Qi stopped the spikes with his Five-Element Qi Fist and the wave unleashed from his punches hit the spikes, making them give out a cracking sound.

The spikes were broken into pieces before they could reach Lao Er and Ling Er.

He went on to deal with the Demonic Boars that were charging towards them with his fists.

Thud!

Lin Xuan Qi smashed down onto the head of one of the Demonic Boars and broke its skull, giving out a loud muted thud.

The Demonic Boar squealed and tried to snap at whoever it was that had hit it.

But Lin Xuan Qi had already moved to its side, pulling back his arm, and ready to strike a punch at its body.

Splatter.

When he unleashed his punch at the body of the Demonic Boar, the wave from his fist blew a huge hole in the body and the tough hide, flesh and blood of the Demonic Boar splattered out into the surroundings.

The other Demonic Boars squealed and stopped in their tracks when they saw what had happened.

There was no one there and yet, the Demonic Boar was killed.

Squeal!

The Demonic Boars gave out a loud squeal before they turned around and ran away.

Lin Xuan Qi took the opportunity to check on Lao Er and Ling Er while he recuperated some of his Five-Element Qi.

They were not hurt but the effect of his invisible talisman was going to wear off soon.

Meanwhile, the other cultivators weren’t as lucky as Lao Er and Ling Er.

Some of them got their feet or thighs penetrated by the spikes.

And the Demonic Boars then charged up to them with their tusks.

It was a bloodied battle as the cultivators were heavily outnumbered.

"All of you better not hide what you have anymore!"

"If you don’t try your best, all of us will die right here."

"Yes, we work together now or we will perish together."

Some of the cool-headed cultivators shouted and tried to rally the cultivators together.

The Qing Feng Sect disciples who were watching what was happening all this while raised their eyebrows and thought that these cultivators gave a much better fight than the others.

Finally, one of the cultivators took out an Artifact that looked like a bamboo shoot made of emerald.
