Chapter 537: Senior Martial Brother Hu Yi

Chapter 537: Senior Martial Brother Hu Yi

"Who are you?!" The cultivator was startled when he saw the figure of a man appear in front of him.

It was Lin Xuan Qi.

Lin Xuan Qi, wearing his mask, tilted his head at the cultivator and without any warning, swung the pair of hammers he had in his hands at the cultivator.

The cultivator tried to raise the sword in his hands to block the hammers but he was too slow for it.

All he could see was the hammers becoming bigger and bigger in his vision until he heard a loud metallic ring when the hammers hit onto his head.

His vision turned dark afterwards and his body fell forward onto the ground.

With a single blow, Lin Xuan Qi had smashed the head of the cultivator into a mangled mass of flesh and bones with the upper half of the head gone.

He was able to fight against cultivators at Foundation Establishment Level when he was only at Qi Concentration Level with his Five-Element Qi.

And now that he was at Foundation Establishment Level, it was a breeze taking care of these cultivators at Qi Concentration Level.

"Huh..."

The warm blood and flesh from the cultivator splattered onto the faces of the others that were standing close and they were shocked by it.

They instinctively wiped their faces with their hands and glanced at their hands.

Blood mixed with some flesh and some strands of hair could be seen.

That made their stomachs turn and they glanced at Lin Xuan Qi with fear.

Lao Er, on the other hand, pointed at Lin Xuan Qi and whispered to Ling Er with excitement, "That’s him, that was the man who told me where the incense urn was."

Everything linked up for him and it all made sense to him now.

Grand Ancestor Lin had manifested himself and got rid of the cultivators that were after them at the temple.

And after that, he had directed them to where the incense urn was.

He wanted to run up to Lin Xuan Qi to kneel and kowtow to him for what Lin Xuan Qi had done for them but the battle was not over yet.

"Watch out!" Lao Er shouted to give Lin Xuan Qi a warning when he saw some movements.

Two of the cultivators composed themselves and they lunged at Lin Xuan Qi from his sides.

Lin Xuan Qi was unfazed by them and he crossed his arms in front of him.

And when they got into the range of his hammers he swung his arms outward at both of them.

Dang!

The swords that the two cultivators had in their hands were knocked to the side by the hammers before the hammers hit onto their faces.

The heads shot to the back from the impact.

A trail of blood flung in the air with an arc that followed their path when they fell onto their backs.

After they landed onto the ground, they twitched for a few moments before they stopped moving.

These two cultivators were also dead with a single strike.

"Wait, wait... I think we have a misunderstanding... We were just trying to help the young man and woman.

"Let us go and we can promise you anything you ever wanted." One of the cultivators tried to come up with an excuse and begged for mercy.

Lin Xuan Qi didn’t bother with him.

He lunged at the cultivator and smashed his hammers into his body.

Loud cracks of the rib cage could be heard and when the force came out from the back of the cultivator, the back was ruptured and a huge gaping wound appeared.

"No... you can’t do this... help!" The rest of the cultivators glanced at the Qing Feng Sect disciples and cried out for help.

But the Qing Feng Sect disciples stood where they were and watched on without any intentions of lifting even a finger.

Lin Xuan Qi didn’t waste any more time and he hurled a bunch of talismans at the cultivators.

Boom!

The talismans gave out an amber glow before bursting into flames.

And the cultivators caught by the Five-Element Flames cried out in pain while they tried to put it out.

To their horror, they found out that it was no ordinary flame.

The Five-Element Qi that was infused with the flames broke down whatever Spirit Qi they had garnered to protect themselves.

While this was going on, Lin Xuan Qi glanced over to the cultivator that had the emerald bamboo shoot in his hand.

The cultivator raised the emerald bamboo shoot and said, "Don’t you dare come near me, you should know what this artifact is capable of..."

He tried to make use of the emerald bamboo shoot to keep Lin Xuan Qi away from him.

But Lin Xuan Qi shook his head and shrugged his shoulders at the cultivator.

He had figured from what had happened earlier.

The price for using the emerald bamboo shoot was to drain all of your Spirit Qi to do so.

That was a downside for the emerald bamboo shoot, but he wouldn’t mind having another artifact that could ensure his survival.

After all, there were many cultivators that were at a higher level of cultivation than he was.

Who knows when it might come in handy?

Lin Xuan Qi ignored the cultivator pointing the emerald bamboo shoot at him and lunged at the cultivator with his hammers.

He was so fast that his figure turned into a shimmer and the next thing that the cultivator could hear was the sound of a loud metallic ring when the hammers lodged deeply into his face.

Plop.

The cultivator fell onto his knees before falling forward to the ground.

Lin Xuan Qi swung his hammers to the side, making the blood, flesh and white matter that were stuck on them fling into the air.

After he was done, he kept them in his toad statue and picked up the emerald bamboo shoot that was in the grasp of the dead cultivator.

He inspected it for a moment before he lifted his head and glanced around.

There was no one else left standing except for him, Lao Er, Ling Er and the Qing Feng Sect disciples.

He wanted to use the last remaining invisible talisman but stopped when he heard a burst of laughter in the air.

"I see that the battle has been intense." The laughter stopped and a middle-aged man’s voice said.

"Senior martial brother Hu Yi." The Qing Feng Sect disciples cupped their hands and greeted the man.
