Chapter 541: Gui Feng City

A bright flash filled their vision when they walked into the opened circle.

And before they knew it, they were back at the valley where Lin Xuan Qi’s guards were.

There were many clamoring to go into the secret realm saying that they had only missed by a few moments.

It was as chaotic as it was when Lin Xuan Qi entered the secret realm so no one noticed them when they appeared out of nowhere in a corner.

That got Lin Xuan Qi curious.

He separated with Lao Er and Ling Er to get to where his guards were.

"Where is Master Lin?"

"Did you see him?"

"I saw that there were a crowd that rushed towards the opening and then he was gone."

Lin Xuan Qi frowned and glanced at the Qing Feng Sect disciples.

They were still standing on the platform as if they had stood still on it for a very long time.

And from what he had gathered, he came to a conclusion.

The time outside of the secret realm had only passed for a few moments compared to what had happened inside.

He wasn’t sure if the Qing Feng Sect had made it this way so that those outside wouldn’t realize that many had perished inside until it was too late.

It might be a coincidence but he didn’t mind.

That worked to his advantage and he deactivated the effect of his invisible talisman.

"Thank the heavens that you are here." Lin Xuan Qi walked up to the guards and the guards were close to tears when they saw him again.

"Master Lin! You had us worried for a moment there."

"Mistress Shi Shi will skin us alive if anything happened to you."

"I think even Head Mistress Xue Cong would be angry with us if that happened."

Lin Xuan Qi shook his head at them and said, "I think it’s best we get back to the city now before things get messy here."

The guards were more than glad to do so and they escorted him back.

Meanwhile, Lao Er and Ling Er felt a sense of disappointment when they saw the man wearing the mask was now gone.

They gave out a sigh and quickly got out of sight from everyone else that were in the valley.

Both of them had too many valuables on them and it would be dangerous for them to be seen by the others.

Thankfully, they weren’t wearing cultivation robes or dressed like rogue cultivators, and they looked like beggars instead, making it easy for them to go unnoticed by the others.

Lao Er and Ling Er got into the woods and headed for their hideout from before the secret realm was opened.

Bai Xun was back from supervising the refurnishing of the retail stores when they stumbled upon each other.

"Master Lin, I’m so glad that you are back." Bai Xun was worried about Lin Xuan Qi going to the Spirit Valley and he was glad to see him coming back to the inn safe and sound.

"It was indeed an eye-opener." Lin Xuan Qi replied and he continued to check on the progress of the refurnishing.

"How is the progress going on?"

"It’s going very well, I think they might be ahead of schedule and be done within the next two days."

"That’s great news.

"Maybe you can recruit the staff for the retail shops in the meantime.

"Offer them a competitive pay and I’ll teach you on how to manage the retail stores and train the retail staff before I leave." Lin Xuan Qi said to the surprise of Bai Xun.

That would make him in charge of everything in Gui Feng City and it was a huge responsibility.

"Don’t worry, your remuneration shall be increased accordingly." Lin Xuan Qi said and Bai Xun cupped his hands at him.

"Thank you so much, Master Lin."

"It depends on your performance and when you are ready, get someone to take over from you and you can proceed to help expand the businesses to other cities." Lin Xuan Qi replied as he took a seat.

Going around the Da Qian Dynasty setting up business deals was the reason why Bai Xun wanted to leave the factory in the first place, so he gave Bai Xun the option to do so when things were set up here.

Bai Xun quickly poured a cup of tea for him and said, "I will not disappoint you, Master Lin."

Lin Xuan Qi picked up the cup of tea and had a sip of it.

It had been so long since he had warm tea and sumptuous food, ever since he was in the secret realm.

And that was what he did when dinner time came.

Bai Xun and the others looked on surprised at his appetite, finishing all the dishes within a few moments.

They figured that it must have been the fatigue from being so busy and Master Lin getting used to the bland food for him to go on such a feast.

Either way, all of them missed the food they had in Hong Feng with the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence added.

After he was done, he went back to his bedroom early.

Lin Xuan Qi sat on his bed and channeled his thoughts to the incense urn.

"Lao Er, Ling Er, where are we now?" The low coarse voice sounded from the incense urn.

Lao Er who was roasting the rabbit he had caught over the fire quickly stopped and ran over to the incense urn which he had placed inside the cave.

Ling Er who had just come back from washing some of their clothes also rushed over to the incense urn.
