Chapter 614: The Battle

Slice.

After a shimmer went past the Qing Feng Sect disciple’s face, his head was severed off from his neck.

The blood oozed out from the wound and the headless body thrashed around, still struggling, even though its head was gone.

Lee He Song kicked the head of the Qing Feng Sect disciple to the side and glanced at the burly man.

Warm blood dripped from the blade of his Nine Yin Ice Sword.

"Your turn next. Don’t disappoint me and run away like a coward." Lee He Song pointed at the burly man and said with a tinge of excitement.

It had been a while since the last time he got to be in a battle.

He had just ascended and he was eager to find out how strong he was at the moment.

But Lee He Song had already made his next move.

He leaped to the side and lunged at the burly man from the side.

The blade of his sword emitted a white mist when he slashed his sword down at the burly man’s head.

Hurriedly, the burly man turned and raised his glowing arms to block the sword coming down at him.

Thud.

When the blade of Lee He Song’s sword slashed onto the forearms of the burly man, it gave out a loud thud instead of slicing through the flesh and bones of the forearms.

But hacking into the forearms of the burly man was not Lee He Song’s intention.

The white mist that the blade of his sword emitted froze and turned into ice when it came into contact with the arms, shoulder, and head of the burly man.

Once Lee He Song was successful with it, he quickly retracted his sword and thrust it at the waist of the burly man in the next moment.

"Damn you!" The burly man cursed and he tried to break free from the ice that had immobilized his arms.

Dang.

Out of desperation, the burly man raised his leg and gave a side kick at the sword, making it give out a metallic ring when his foot hit onto the blade of the sword.

However, Lee He Song didn’t stop.

He held onto the handle of his sword with both his hands and slashed at the leg of the burly man, which was still hanging in midair.

Crack.

The sword hacked into the shin bone of the burly man’s leg, giving out a very loud crack when the blade of the sword went halfway in.

Pain from the wound made the burly man twitch from it for a moment.

Surprisingly, the burly man didn’t give up and he leaped with his other leg and kicked at Lee He Song with it.

Thud.

The kick landed onto Lee He Song’s abdomen and made Lee He Song take a few steps back.

Roar.

The burly man fell onto the ground and gave out a roar.

The ice that froze his arms and shoulder cracked into pieces and he finally broke free from it.

Lee He Song turned his sword downwards and he tried to thrust it down at the burly man.

The burly man cursed and rolled as far away as he could.

But even though he got away from the blade of Lee He Song’s sword, when it plunged into the ground, a trail of ice formed and it followed along where the burly man was going.

It didn’t take too long for the ice to catch up to the burly man and the instant when it contacted with the burly man’s body, the ice engulfed him, making him stop in his tracks.

Lee He Song lunged into the air and descended down upon the burly man.

And the same thing happened.

A shimmer went past the burly man’s face in the blink of an eye.

The burly man’s head was severed off from its body.

Lee He Song came up to the body to make sure that it was over.

So far, from the fight with the burly man, the tenacity and viciousness at which the burly man fought was something he hadn’t encountered before.

Thankfully, the burly man’s eyes were opened wide with his jaws slackened from the shock. But other than that, there was no sign of any life left in the burly man.

Maybe he was still processing who Lee He Song was and what the Qi that could so easily destroy his Spirit Qi was.

Lee He Song thought when he rummaged through the body of the burly man for anything valuable.

There were only a few Spirit Stones and nothing else.

After he kept the Spirit Stones, he pointed his palm at the body of the burly man and chanted the words for the fire spell.

A fireball shot out at the body and it started burning it into ashes.

Then, he made sure the ashes were scattered into the wind, making sure that no one would be able to find any trace of the burly man anymore.

After he was done with the burly man, Lee He Song moved on and did the same with the body of the Qing Feng Sect disciple.

When he turned around, getting ready to meet up with the guards, screams could be heard in the distance.
