Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos

Chapter 453: Reluctance

Chapter 453: Reluctance

"Then Senior, we will meet you tomorrow, we will be waiting for you here in the morning..." The woman bowed, and the others followed too.

Lin Feng waved his hand slightly before going towards the inn.

The group left immediately, they had some herbs, but since they never thought that they would get a chance like this, they didn’t have all the required herbs, so they hoped that they could buy them here or else they would have to search for them in the wilderness or go to the nearest city to get them.

Lin Feng entered inside the entrance of the inn, which led to a big open courtyard filled with blooming flowers and flying butterflies everywhere. The actual inn was situated in the middle of this courtyard.

The fragrance from the flowers was pleasant to say the least, now he understood why it was called Fragrant Dew Inn.

He walked to the main entrance and a woman attendant came out to greet him.

"Welcome to Fragrant Dew Inn, Senior..." The attendant bowed, "Would you like to eat something first, or would you like to rent a room for your stay?"

"Just give me a room..."

Although it had been a while since he ate anything good, Lin Feng wasn’t interested in food for the time being.

"Alright, please come with me..." The attendant took him to the upper section of the inn and opened a room to show him, "This room costs 30 medium spirit stones per day... Please have a look if it is to your liking or not, we also have better ones..."

Lin Feng shook his head and passed her sixty spirit stones, "I will rent it for two days..."

He wasn’t interested in luxury, so he didn’t mind the quality of the room too much.

The attendant took the spirit stones and nodded while passing him a token, "This will help you activate the array to seal the room completely for your privacy..."

Lin Feng nodded and entered inside. The room was better than he had expected. It wasn’t surprising though, the whole inn was luxurious in itself.

Lin Feng closed the door and opened the wooden window before taking a seat on the wooden chair beside it.

Now that he had time on his hands, he had to think of his future plans. The first thing was to get information on Bai Qingya, then see if his grandmother’s bloodline was reacting to the presence of his founder or not.

There was also the token of the sect he received from Gou Tiancheng, not to mention the green jade token from Shu Yuerong.

He sighed inwardly and took out the communication talisman and immediately used it...

The talisman shone with faint brilliance before falling back into his hand.

Lin Feng shook his head and put back the talisman. This failure to establish a connection could lead to a few possible outcomes.

The first was that Bai Qingya was beyond the range of what this communication talisman was capable of. It was also something he believed to be the most likely explanation.

The second hypothesis was that she was inside a sealed dimension, which was unlikely after just arriving in this world.

As for the worst possible outcome, she had died and someone destroyed the talisman so no one could trace them.

Possibility of something like that happening is low but never zero. Nonetheless, his assumptions aside, he was quite sure that she wouldn’t face such a terrible situation, and so her being far from his location was the most likely scenario.

He put away the talisman and took out the pill bottle containing the blood essence of his grandmother.

He placed the bottle in his palm and waited while observing it carefully. He stayed like that for some time before the bottle finally stirred slightly.

He sighed in relief, this meant that his founder was alive somewhere.

This was good, or his master and aunts might have felt immense sorrow over losing her.

He put away the bottle and looked at the green jade token. It was a token carrying the faint spiritual essence of Shu Yuerong, so if she was nearby, then she could sense it.

He was a little conflicted about whether he should meet her or not, a person can change drastically, especially those who walk the path of Dao.

A lot of time had passed since she created that inheritance, and that was enough for her to let go of anything related to her past.

The reason she had left this token was unknown to him, but if it created any kind of conflict for her, then who knows if she might try to get rid of him.

Lin Feng looked at the flower engraved on the green jade for a second before putting it away. There was a high chance that Shu Yuerong was also in this world.

Comprehending Dao is an immensely time-consuming task, so she might still not have reached the limits of this world yet.

He would see how it goes. In fact, as long as this token was inside his storage ring, Shu Yuerong wouldn’t be able to sense it unless she came too close to him.

The chances of that happening were absolutely low, so he shouldn’t be worried about it for now. Not to mention everything was speculation on his behalf. Just from talking to her previously, he was certain that she was at least pure-hearted by nature.

Changing perspective and path is easy, but the nature of one’s heart might stay the same forever.

The last thing he took out was the black token. It was the sect token of Gou Tiancheng. He particularly didn’t have any need for it, but if he got a chance to visit this sect, then he would leave it there.

If Gou Tiancheng hadn’t left behind any soul lamp which indicated his life and death, then maybe there were some very close people to him who might still be waiting for any news about him.

So if he really got the chance, then he wouldn’t mind delivering information about him.

KNOCK!

Lin Feng looked towards the door before opening it with his spiritual sense.
