After stepping into the Resolution Department, Chen Chuan handed Lead Investigator Wen’s body to the collection division and asked the officers to notify Lead Investigator Wen’s family. Once he got everything settled, he went to his office.

The signal had returned to his Realm Pass at this point, and Safe Shield’s voice entered his ears. “Lead Investigator Chen, Safe Shield, at your service. According to the authorization given to you by Director Wei and Director Wu, you currently have the highest authorization in the department. Do you have any orders for me?”

“Look into all the people Han Fu tried to contact and those that Wang Weiguang brought here,” Chen Chuan ordered.

“Understood. Verifying identities.”

Chen Chuan drew his curtains back and stared at the square as well as the city in the distance. The airships had already retreated, and all the people and cars who had come to capture him were gone as well.

Someone in the department had to have given Wang Weiguang the authority to see Han Fu and release him. One of his main goals right now was to get rid of all the problems in the Resolution Department.

If he used regular methods to get rid of them slowly, there was no telling how long it would take. Besides, he didn’t think that the pests hiding in the dark could be found so easily.

He needed some strong-acting pesticides to get instant results.

For that to happen, he needed absolute power. Then, even if external forces tried to stop him, he could get rid of them quickly and smoothly wrap things up.

The messenger gave him a quick account of the current situation in Central City. “Due to the previous conflict with the Department of Administrative Affairs, the Union representatives are very uneasy. We hope that you can get closer to White Bird District.”

“If the Great Shun Republic’s government allows it, I don’t mind coming closer. This place is boring. But frankly, you don’t have to be so scared. This martial arts master is pretty gentle,” Pulabacarl stated.
