Chapter 2430: Chapter 2230: Kidney Function Definitely Isn’t Great (Part 3)

"Director Sun, don’t be upset, what nonsense about the turtle soup being too old, of course, the longer it simmers, the richer it gets!" Song Xiaodong comforted Director Sun.

"But the meat’s all mushy!"

After chatting with Director Sun for a while, Zhou Yuanzhi arrived late with Jin Haicheng.

As soon as Song Xiaodong saw Jin Haicheng, his expression cooled down, squinting as he looked her up and down.

"Mr. Song, Lady Song, this is Director Zhou Yuanzhi!" Director Sun enthusiastically introduced Zhou Yuanzhi and Jin Haicheng to Mr. Song.

"Hello Mr. Song, hello Lady Song!" Zhou Yuanzhi also warmly extended his hand to shake hands with Song Xiaodong.

Song Xiaodong’s brain was working quickly, but he didn’t immediately show anger. Instead, he stared blankly at Jin Haicheng for a moment, then suddenly turned his head and put on a smiling face to shake hands with Zhou Yuanzhi.

"Director Zhou, you’ve come from afar, it must have been hard for you!" Song Xiaodong asked Zhou Yuanzhi.

"It wasn’t difficult, wasn’t difficult at all, the journey for medical treatment is not really hard! Hahaha," Zhou Yuanzhi replied.

"Hahaha"

"Let me introduce everyone, this is Jin Haicheng, a big star. He’s been filming some idol dramas recently in Minghe, so we thought everyone should meet. Haicheng, this is Director Sun of the Minghe local TV station, this is Mr. Song, and this is Lady Song." Zhou Yuanzhi introduced everyone to each other.

"Great, everyone, let’s sit and talk. Old Zhou, I was just discussing with Mr. Song asking you to come in the afternoon and find me directly, yet you disappeared! Do you know how hard it is to get Mr. Song to see a patient?" Director Sun criticized Zhou Yuanzhi.

"Director Sun, it’s actually not Director Zhou’s fault, it was me who insisted he accompany me, that’s why Director Zhou was late." Jin Haicheng told Director Sun.

Director Sun, knowing Zhou Yuanzhi’s ways, wasn’t surprised at all by what Jin Haicheng said, but Xiao Yingying looked at Song Xiaodong with a somewhat subtle expression.

"Director Sun is right, I came to see Mr. Song and was late, I will punish myself with a drink!" Zhou Yuanzhi poured a drink, ready to down it himself.

Song Xiaodong reached out to stop Zhou Yuanzhi’s hand and said to him, "Director Zhou, we’re here to eat and chat, not drink. No need for that, it’s all good that you’re here."

Director Zhou exchanged glances with Director Sun, who then said to him, "Let’s do as Mr. Song wishes."

Chapter 2232: The hardest to cure is the heart’s ailment

"Well then, Mr. Song, I’m really sorry for being late this time." Zhou Yuanzhi apologized to Song Xiaodong again.

"No problem, now that everyone’s here, let’s start this turtle soup!" Song Xiaodong said.

"Alright, Mr. Song, you relax, let me do it!" Director Sun eagerly volunteered, lifting the lid of the pot, a rich aroma wafting over.

"Ah!—"

Everyone let out a long sigh.

"See, I was right. This turtle soup needed more time, just enough to wait for Mr. Zhou, the timing is perfect!" Song Xiaodong said to Director Sun.

"Mr. Song is right, come, serve a bowl to Mr. Song first."

"No, no, serve Mr. Zhou, serve Mr. Zhou!"

"Alright, hahahaha," Director Sun and Mr. Song laughed together, while Zhou Yuanzhi pursed his lips and said nothing.

"Look how thoughtful Director Sun is, knowing you have some issues, he prepared a turtle soup for you, very nourishing!" Song Xiaodong joked with Zhou Yuanzhi.

"Mr. Song, if turtle soup worked, I’d go lease a fish pond in the countryside tomorrow." Zhou Yuanzhi also said.

"Well, with men, it can be two issues, one physical, and one psychological." Song Xiaodong said to Zhou Yuanzhi.

"Is that so?"

Song Xiaodong nodded and continued, "Physically, either you’re innately weak, or you’ve been over-exerted afterwards, both are treatable, but the hardest is the heart’s ailment."

"Heart’s ailment?" Zhou Yuanzhi scratched his head.

"For instance, if you go to a prostitute, and just as you’re getting started, there’s a loud crash, the door gets kicked open, and a roomful of cops rush in, arresting people, taking pictures, shouting and making a scene, the man gets scared and can’t perform, scared off completely. That’s very hard to treat." Song Xiaodong explained.

"I’m not in that situation, I’m just..." Zhou Yuanzhi was too embarrassed to say outright.

"Director Zhou overindulges, constantly auditioning young models, that’s why he can’t." Jin Haicheng said to everyone.

"Don’t say nonsense..." Zhou Yuanzhi turned his head away and said to Jin Haicheng.

"Hahahaha"

"I guess previously, Director Zhou must’ve taken medication once he couldn’t perform, at first with good results, but later even the meds didn’t work." Song Xiaodong said.

"Mr. Song truly is a divine doctor, that’s exactly it. When the meds stopped working, I took more, but still to no avail. Later, the physician told me to stop, fearing side effects." Zhou Yuanzhi said.

"Overindulgence leading to impotence, the treatment is mainly about boosting kidney health and virility, but Director Zhou’s case is more severe, needing strong medicine." Song Xiaodong said.

"So can it be treated?" Zhou Yuanzhi asked.

"I can provide a prescription, but the problem is the difficulty in finding the ingredients." Song Xiaodong said.

"Oh..."

"Okay, okay, okay, Mr. Song says it can be treated, then surely there’s a way, but what is this conversation at the dinner table?" Director Sun said to Song Xiaodong and Zhou Yuanzhi.

"Yes, yes, yes, let’s eat."

"Oh, by the way, Director Zhou, this is my wife, she runs a performing arts company with some emerging stars. In the future, please do support and guide them." Song Xiaodong pointed to Xiao Yingying and said to Zhou Yuanzhi.
