Return to the City: The Strongest King

Chapter 2549 - 2330: The Wolf’s Ambition (Part 3)

Chapter 2549: Chapter 2330: The Wolf’s Ambition (Part 3)

"The dean is asking you a question!" Wang Manshan saw Feng Huihui’s defiant attitude and got even angrier. He stood up from the sofa, his whole body leaning forward, and his entire chest shook with the roar coming out of his mouth.

Feng Huihui was startled. Wang Manshan had never lost his temper with her like this before.

It’s important to know, although Feng Huihui’s character isn’t great, she has a lot of seniority and her medical skill is decent. Right now, City Third Hospital’s Traditional Chinese Medicine department is in a transitional phase where the old physicians have retired, and the young medical students like Lu Yaobing and Chen Xue are too inexperienced to be of use. Only Feng Huihui and Li Jiachen can take on major responsibilities.

So Wang Manshan was aware of the inappropriate dealings between Li Jiachen and Feng Huihui with the laboratory department, but he couldn’t do anything. He had to turn a blind eye; everyone has their difficulties and considerations.

Previously, Wang Manshan was always polite to both Li Jiachen and Feng Huihui, which led them to become even more ambitious and assertive.

But this time, with Dean Liu present, Wang Manshan finally exploded without holding back.

"Isn’t she just an intern at our hospital? Why do you hate her so much? Or is it that you yourself are mentally twisted?" Wang Manshan continued.

"She’s just like your daughter, both interning at our hospital. Aren’t you afraid others might treat your daughter the same way you treat Chen Xue?" Wang Manshan paused suddenly here.

"Hmm? Why didn’t your daughter come to the hospital for her internship?" Wang Manshan asked Feng Huihui.

"Because Chen Xue took my daughter’s spot! My own daughter can’t even intern under me because she took my daughter’s spot!" Feng Huihui finally burst out, shouting hysterically at Wang Manshan.

"Why are you yelling at me? Was it me who took away your daughter’s spot? Blame your daughter for not having good enough grades. There are only four spots for two classes combined, and your daughter ranked fifth. What does that have to do with Chen Xue?" Wang Manshan retorted angrily, his eyes widening, almost bulging out of their sockets.

"Even if Chen Xue replaced your daughter’s internship spot, you could have directly talked to Director Wang, but why resort to such underhanded tricks behind the scenes? Is this how a physician should act?" Liu Changhong, too angry to contain himself, eyed Feng Huihui intently, his eyelid twitching.

"Serious disciplinary action, public criticism, fines, a written apology." Liu Changhong listed the measures he could think of to punish Feng Huihui.

With each item Liu Changhong mentioned, Feng Huihui lowered her head a bit more.

Chapter 2332: Never in this Lifetime

"Don’t even think about the associate chief physician title, not in this lifetime." Liu Changhong’s neck veins stood out, clearly visible.

"Li Jiachen saved you, let me tell you, the Traditional Chinese Medicine department can’t be left without people. Do you know how we’re dealing with Li Jiachen?" Liu Changhong drove a ballpoint pen into Wang Manshan’s desk with force.

Feng Huihui did not respond.

"Termination, revocation of the physician’s practicing certificate, and never allowed to retake the exam." Liu Changhong stated.

"This is a directive personally handed down by Director Wu, and I don’t even have the right to appeal it."

Upon hearing Liu Changhong, Feng Huihui felt both scared and slightly relieved.

Luckily, Director Wu did not personally issue the order but had Dean Liu handle it instead.

With Liu Changhong handling the situation, there was room to maneuver. If Director Wu had made an immediate decision, there would be no wiggle room, and Feng Huihui would have been sacked without a doubt.

After hearing Liu Changhong’s words, the weight on Feng Huihui’s heart eased a bit.

At the same time, she couldn’t help but feel sorry for Li Jiachen.

Having one’s medical license revoked isn’t terrifying; there’s always a chance to retake the exam. Passing it would mean starting anew.

But as Director Wu said, Li Jiachen doesn’t even have the opportunity to retake it.

That completely blocks any path for Li Jiachen to become a physician again.

"I wonder what Li Jiachen will do in the future. It seems like he’ll have to go back and sell pancakes." Feng Huihui thought silently to herself.

"Go, stay away from Chen Xue from now on. And don’t think we don’t know about your dealings with the laboratory department. You better restrain yourself, or if any conflict arises with a patient, you’ll be out of a job." Wang Manshan told Feng Huihui.

After hearing Wang Manshan, Feng Huihui couldn’t help but mentally curse at Wang Manshan’s ancestors up to eighteen generations.

"A cowardly fox hiding behind a tiger’s might, just because the dean’s here and Li Jiachen is gone, leaving me the only one in the Traditional Chinese Medicine department. I’m your boss, got it?" Feng Huihui spitefully thought to herself about Wang Manshan.

"I’ll go then." Feng Huihui said coldly.

"Write the apology!" Wang Manshan shouted again.

Feng Huihui didn’t respond but simply pushed the door open and left.

"What a display! Let me show you, does that look like someone realizing their mistake?" Wang Manshan reported to Liu Changhong.

Liu Changhong waved his hand and said to Wang Manshan, "Recruit, offer high salaries to hire!"

"Got it, got it, I’ll get on it when I go back!" Wang Manshan quickly nodded in agreement.

"Is there anything else in your department you haven’t told me?" Liu Changhong asked Wang Manshan, tilting his head and furrowing his brows.

"No, no, no." Wang Manshan firmly denied.

"You’re the one saying there’s nothing, but if something else happens, I’ll remove you as well!"
