The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 1651: Jing Shui

Chapter 1651: Chapter 1651: Jing Shui

Song Zhiyuan tossed the fish back into the lake and left. Song Zhiqing watched the lake surface, his smile gradually faded, finally casting the entire fishing rod into the lake.

He wasn’t foolish, how could he not catch the insinuation in Song Zhiyuan’s words just now?

Was it a warning to himself?

Song Zhiqing’s face darkened, he glanced down at his legs and the wheelchair beneath him with some defeat and anger. Yes, even if he had thoughts, what could he do with this crippled body?

Song Zhiqing turned the wheelchair, letting the attendant push him back, hatred simmering in his heart.

Turning away from the lake, a soccer ball suddenly rolled to his feet, followed by laughter echoing closer.

Song Zhiqing looked up to see a chubby child running over, arms outstretched, calling for the ball, ball, with drool already trailing down his mouth.

Song Zhiqing’s eyes narrowed, his complexion darkened.

This was his foolish son, eight-year-old Song Lingyi, with the intelligence of a child.

Song Lingyi saw him too, but his steps paused, a hint of fear in his expression. Obviously, he recognized Song Zhiqing as his terrifying father.

"Young Master, Young Master."

A gentle female voice called, soon a figure in blue entered Song Zhiqing’s view.

It was Jing Shui, who had been caring for the siblings of Song Lingyi all these years. She had shed her girlish softness and had grown into maturity and calmness.

Jing Shui hesitated upon seeing Song Zhiqing, before she could greet him, Song Lingyi had already rushed over to hide behind her.

"Young Master," Jing Shui took his hand and said, "Father is here too, let’s quickly greet him."

Song Lingyi was unwilling, but upon meeting her gaze, he reluctantly allowed her to lead him, hunching his neck in front of Song Zhiqing.

"Master," Jing Shui curtsied, urging Song Lingyi to kneel and pay his respects.

Song Lingyi waved his hand carelessly, before Song Zhiqing could speak, he dashed over to grab the soccer ball and ran off to the side.

"Young Master, don’t run off wildly, or the servant won’t be able to find you," Jing Shui had no choice but to remind him.

Whether Song Lingyi understood or not remained unclear, but he didn’t run away. Instead, he sat on the ground far away, playing with the ball, occasionally glancing over.

Song Zhiqing retracted his gaze, looked at Jing Shui, and asked, "Is it just you attending to him?"

Jing Shui replied, "Young Master doesn’t like too many people around, he only wants the servant following him, so I’ve always been attending to him. The others mostly take care of the young lady."

This pair of twins, without their birth mother and without love from their father or legal mother, lived like invisible people, not even attending clan school, but were taught separately by a female teacher.

Song Zhiqing did not wish to see them which would remind him of past mistakes (how foolish he once was).

Thus, these children rarely appeared before him, and Song Zhiqing had little knowledge of their lives.

He glanced at Song Lingyi again, the child was foolish, but at least neat, knowing the attendants were mindful, his gaze softened, he said to Jing Shui, "You’ve had a tough job."

Jing Shui smiled and said, "This is what I am supposed to do." She bit her lip before continuing, "Actually, Young Master is very well-behaved and doesn’t cause too much trouble usually."

"Hmm." Song Zhiqing seemed disinterested.

No matter how good the child is, their existence only serves to remind him of his previous foolishness.

Jing Shui saw his lack of interest, her expression darkened, and asked, "Master, do you have concerns?"
