Chapter 2138 - 2139: Perfection

Chapter 2138: Chapter 2139: Perfection

As the door swung open, the scene inside surprised Angel quite a bit.

The room was filled with a blue glow.

Angel thought that the Foundation of Laws would manifest in some form, like a water sphere, a statue, or a mystical symbol... But it wasn’t so. The room was empty, with nothing inside but endless blue glow.

The rich Water System Meridians behind the glow made Angel feel as if he were once again in the midst of the ocean.

These Water System Meridians constantly attracted Angel, driving him to approach them further.

Thus, he stepped forward.

However, before his foot entered the room, he was repelled by a powerful force. It was as if an invisible barrier existed before him, preventing him from advancing, no matter how hard Angel tried.

As Angel was puzzled, Rhein chuckled softly and walked through the door.

Unlike Angel’s experience, Rhein faced no obstacles, walking in leisurely and stopping to ponder for a moment before turning to meet Angel’s questioning eyes.

"Lord Rhein, what’s going on here?" Angel asked, perplexed as to why he couldn’t enter while Rhein could.

"You cannot enter because of the Power of Laws here. Even the weakest Power of Laws is not easily accessible." Rhein: "As for why I can enter, it’s because I have comprehended the Water System Meridians, thus I’m not constrained by the Water System Laws here."

Simply put, only those who have comprehended the corresponding Law Meridians can enter. Meaning, if it were the Law of Gravity instead of the Water System Law, Angel could easily enter because he has already comprehended the Gravity Meridian.

At this moment, Angel understood the rules for entry, but what concerned him was that, to enter here, one must comprehend the Water System Law or its Meridians; does this mean... that the laws here are real?

Because Rhein could enter while Angel could not. Rhein’s comprehension of the Water System Meridians pertains to real laws rather than virtual laws, which indicates a high likelihood that the laws within the room are real Water System Laws.

Angel voiced his doubts.

"Before entering here, I couldn’t answer your question, but now..." Rhein turned back to look at the central area of the room, where the light was the brightest: "I have gained some enlightenment."

"The laws here, just as you suspected, contain real laws. For example," Rhein gently waved his hand, and a Water Arrow Technique appeared in his palm. At first, the water arrow was merely a blue cluster, but soon it started to transform rapidly, becoming vivid and lifelike.

During the transformation of the water arrow, Angel could clearly feel its energy level rising swiftly: from a level 0 trick to a level 1 trick... level 3 trick, until reaching the spell technique level!

Angel was utterly astonished.

It’s important to know that, according to Sanders’ current understanding of energy, the highest Magic Power areas in the Wilderness of Dreams can barely cast level 3 tricks. Yet now, a spell technique was forming directly before Angel’s eyes.

Moreover, as the Controller of the Ability Tree, Angel could distinctly feel that this spell technique differs from capabilities generated by virtual Magic Power.

It was tremendously real!

"Is this a real spell technique? Lord Rhein, can you use Magic Power from reality?" Angel asked incredulously.

Rhein manipulated the water arrow to hover around him for a moment, then lightly pinched it, causing it to vanish.

"You should have sensed the difference in this Water Arrow Technique; indeed, it qualifies as a real spell technique. However, I still cannot utilize real Magic Power." Rhein: "Nonetheless, it is not a creation of virtual Magic Power but was formed by directly communicating with the laws via the Water System Meridians. Strictly speaking, it wasn’t cast by me but by the Water System Laws."

Although Angel did not grasp the principle entirely, he understood the general idea.

This nearly real spell technique is essentially an application skill derived from a profound understanding of the Water System Laws. Even though Rhein is not an Elemental-side wizard, his understanding of Water System Laws, due to years of immersion in the Tide Wave Garden, may be deeper than many Water System wizards.

"Due to the laws being most abundant here, I can only use such a level of capability here." Rhein paused: "Now, let’s return to your initial question."

"I showed you with the Water Arrow Technique that the Water System Laws here are real. However—these laws also bear traces of the Wilderness of Dreams."

Angel: "Why do you say that?"

"Because I felt it within the Foundation of Laws." Rhein looked towards the center of the room: "Somewhat similar to the Water System Laws, yet distinctly different, carrying the traces of the Wilderness of Dreams... or, the power you referred to as authority."

Authority? Angel’s gaze turned to the very center of the room; he did not sense any authority there.

But since Rhein spoke with such conviction, Angel believed he wasn’t deceiving him.

Considering this, Angel decided to use God’s View to sense things.

Ever since Angel obtained the Ability Tree, his God’s View evolved beyond merely places covered by Nightmare Realm aura; it became the true God’s Eye, enabling sandbox-like positioning over the entire Wilderness of Dreams.

Although the Tide Wave Garden is a Witchcraft Garden, entering the Wilderness of Dreams made it part of the Wilderness of Dreams as well. Naturally, it allowed multi-dimensional observation via God’s View.

Through God’s View, Angel clearly felt familiar authority waves in the center of the room atop the Wizard’s Tower.

That is the sub-authority representing the Water System within Celestial Alternation.

Angel’s inability to sense the authority of Celestial Alternation was due to its position being confined to the center, without any outward diffusion. Since the surroundings were enveloped by the rich real laws, Angel was momentarily blinded.

But now, with a more elevated perspective, Angel could clearly see Celestial Alternation’s Water System Sub-authority merging with the real Water System Laws, entwining like lovers in the throes of passion, exchanging and blending harmoniously.

This state was extraordinarily subtle.

They appear unified, yet visibly different. The reality-based laws and the authority of the Wilderness of Dreams intertwine peculiarly, representing two facets of the same entity.

Through God’s View, Angel could only see this; he wasn’t certain what this situation represented.

Nevertheless, having confirmed the presence of Celestial Alternation’s authority, Angel resorted to the Ability Tree to gain deeper insights.

With this thought, Angel immersed his consciousness in the Ability Tree and the authority representing Celestial Alternation.

In an instant, a torrent of information rushed towards Angel’s mind, like a flood.

Angel directly refused to accept the information.

Although the Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement Power is not as core as the Ability Tree, its inherent content is immense and it even contains some Element Laws. Back then, when it came to bearing the power, it was feared that not even Frode or Sanders could handle the Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement.

The information pouring from such a weighty authority, Angel dared not receive it casually.

Angel entered the core of the Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement, purely to seek out some anomalies within the Water System sub-authority to understand the current situation.

Although Angel did not fuse with the Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement, the Ability Tree possesses absolute control over all powers, so he faced no restrictions while navigating through the core information of the Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement.

There was a lot of internal information; Angel thought it would take a long time to find the anomalies, but as soon as he entered the Water System sub-authority, he perceived the abnormal information. It was as if the will of the Wilderness of Dreams deliberately presented this anomaly to him.

The method of receiving the anomalous information was still direct transmission into his mind.

As the flood of information entered, enlightenment gradually flickered in Angel’s eyes, which grew increasingly bright.

A moment later, Angel opened his eyes.

"Were you perceiving the authority in the room just now? How did it go, did you perceive anything?" After Angel closed his eyes, Rhein had remained silent, waiting until this moment to speak with a smiling expression.

Angel nodded, answering Rhein with actions.

Angel’s eyes shone brightly as he extended his foot and stepped lightly into the room.

The Water System Law that previously refused his entry seemed to vanish, presenting no obstacles to Angel. He smoothly walked in and came to stand beside Rhein.

Rhein did not ask Angel how he managed it, because he clearly sensed the changes in the surrounding water system veins: the authority of the Wilderness of Dreams, initially dormant in the center, suddenly began to move, directly blocking off the surrounding Water System Law, opening a clear path for Angel to step inside.

"Now that you can mobilize the authority entangled with the Water System Law, can you manipulate the Water System Law itself?" Rhein asked curiously.

Angel shook his head: "No, the Water System Law is a real law. To manipulate it, one must study it step by step according to the realities."

Rhein nodded; if Angel could directly manipulate the Water System Law, that would truly be astounding.

"Even so, it is quite impressive. The intertwining of authority and law at least indicates a similarity in their energy levels, perhaps they are two sides of the same coin." Rhein mused, "I’m just curious about what impact this situation will have on the Wilderness of Dreams."

"The Wilderness of Dreams is vast, and its authority is exceptionally abundant. So, for the current situation, it will not have a significant impact overall," Angel remarked, "However, its significance is extraordinary."

"Oh? Why?" Rhein did not ask Angel how he knew; Angel was, after all, the creator of the Wilderness of Dreams and had access to information sources. It would be overstepping if Rhein demanded to get to the bottom of everything.

"Based on some information I’ve obtained, I can confirm that Lord Reine’s initial hypothesis was correct. The entry of real laws into the Wilderness of Dreams offers benefits far greater than its drawbacks."

"To put it bluntly, the authority of the Wilderness of Dreams is also a form of law, but it is imperfect." Angel continued, "The reason for its imperfection is straightforward: the Wilderness of Dreams is currently nestled beneath the Dream Realm, a somewhat unique independent area. It appears whole but isn’t truly a world; at most, it is a world prototype, or a seed of a plane."

"Only when the Wilderness of Dreams becomes a true world will its authority have the qualification to be called a law."

As Angel said this, he shrugged: "However, how the Wilderness of Dreams will become a world, whether in the future the authority can transform into laws, that’s not something I am qualified to consider right now."

Rhein nodded too, creating a world... He had never heard of such a thing. If it truly existed, perhaps only those wizards who shine with miraculous glory might qualify to delve into it.

"Although there is no need to consider the situation of authority becoming true laws for now, it is possible to improve the authority itself within a certain range. As for the method of improvement..."

Hearing this, the answer was almost self-evident, and Rhein softly said, "Introduce real laws."

Angel nodded: "Yes, real laws can improve the authority to a certain extent. However, it’s merely an improvement; it still won’t become true laws, but perfecting the authority is a beneficial cycle."

"It can make the Wilderness of Dreams more like a world, rapidly increase its energy level, enhance the power of authority, and even use the Power of Laws to kill those Dream Realm creatures who discover and covet the Wilderness of Dreams."

"In short, the integration of real laws brings immense benefits."

"The only downside is while the Power of Laws can kill those Dream Realm creatures that covet the Wilderness of Dreams, it also has the ability to kill the indigenous people of the Wilderness of Dreams."

The so-called downside seems odd at first, but it isn’t.

The indigenous people’s bodily structures in the Wilderness of Dreams are very special; they almost never get sick and hardly die. Unless the authority of the Wilderness of Dreams specifically targets them, the indigenous people are not affected by the authority.

Take the current situation as an example.

Like the Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement Power, if it causes continuous rain in Originheart City for half a month, the indigenous people would experience no discomfort even if they stayed in the rain.

However, once the real Water System Law integrates into the Heavenly Phenomenon Replacement Power, if the indigenous people get drenched, they might fall ill.

This is very similar to the reality where ordinary people can become seriously ill after getting wet in the rain, and if they have weak constitutions and lack timely treatment, they might even die.

This is the downside of law integration into the Wilderness of Dreams: making the robust bodies of Dream Realm residents susceptible to external influences.

But compared to the benefits it brings, this downside pales in comparison.

At least, from Angel’s perspective, he can completely ignore this downside for the time being.

After listening, Rhein also felt the downside was negligible: "So now, can we massively introduce real laws to perfect the authority as much as possible?"

Angel shook his head: "No, introducing real laws requires adhering to the basic rules of the Wilderness of Dreams."

"The most crucial is the energy level limitation; currently, the overall energy level of the Wilderness of Dreams is not high, and the operating authorities are relatively few. Under such circumstances, the introduced real laws must be below the overall level."

"The Wilderness of Dreams has only one avenue to integrate real laws, which is via the Dream Conch Spiral Witchcraft Garden. Based on the level of the Witchcraft Garden, currently, the Wilderness of Dreams can only endure tiny and small Witchcraft Gardens."
