Chapter 1633: Chapter 956: Forceful Suppression, All Are Fierce and Ruthless Characters (27 Updates)
The phone was vibrating...
Time jumps back to a little over ten minutes ago.
On Lazato Road, at the intersection, Huo Qinqi tucked the car into a corner. Relying on years of experience from missions and marches, the moment he got here he used the terrain to find a spot that was perfect for hiding.
Zeyan’s phone vibrated—he picked up a call from Qi Zeyan.
"It’s done on my side, we’ve got them pinned. Now it all depends on us here."
Huo Qinqi didn’t say a word, his eyes locked straight ahead.
Jiang Yanting wasn’t much of a talker either. The air inside the car was so heavy it felt suffocating.
Very soon, Lin Luyou’s car slowly approached. At this intersection the traffic lights were stuck on blinking yellow, so her speed was a bit slow. Not far behind her, a white van was tailing.
Probably professional instinct, that sharp nose—Huo Qinqi started the engine without a word and pulled the car out from the side.
...
Inside the van right now, a bunch of people were getting ready for the kidnapping.
Hoods, ropes, tape—there was even knockout gas prepared.
"Avoid the cameras at the intersection. As soon as she turns, we move." Brother Qing lifted his arm and loosened his shoulders.
"Jiang Zhaolin really is a bastard—kidnappers still have to play Hero and ’save’ the kid? With a dad like that, she’s damn unlucky."
"The kid’s the pitiful one. So young—she’ll be scared to death later."
Brother Qing snorted coldly. "Remember later: cover their eyes, gag their mouths, tie up both hands and feet. Whether we go overseas to live it up or end up freezing in the wind—this job decides it."
"Fuck, we were doing fine smuggling, and now we’re kidnappers?"
"With the shit we’ve done, getting locked up isn’t enough—we should be lined up and shot."
They muttered among themselves. Brother Qing reminded them it was almost time, told them to shut up and focus.
The white sedan ahead slowly turned the corner, and just then the van suddenly accelerated.
Their goal was to cause a rear-end collision, force her to open the door and get out—but they didn’t expect...
The very next second—
A jeep suddenly shot out from the rear side.
"What the fuck, there’s someone behind us!" The driver scowled. "Brother Qing, we..."
He was trying to ask what they should do. If a passerby showed up, the plan would have to be shelved. But the next second, the car behind them suddenly gunned it. He yanked the wheel hard.
The van lurched sharply to one side, but the next second its rear still took a brutal hit.
Their van was a black-market buy—patched together out of random parts, a hack-job modification. The engine was crap to begin with. One slam and the whole thing shook violently.
"Fuck—what the hell, how are you driving!" The man called Brother Qing roared at the driver. "Hit the gas, turn the damn wheel!"
"I’m flooring it, but the car..."
That piece of junk took one hit and it felt like half its systems went haywire.
Even the steering wheel didn’t seem to respond properly.
"Motherfucker, who the hell is this!"
"Fucking unlucky!"
"Shit—"
...
The van filled with curses, one after another.
The car behind them had way more power. While the van tried to dodge, the screech of grinding metal, mixed with the shriek of tires scraping asphalt, lit up the road in sparks in a flash.
In the other car—
Jinsang gripped the handle above the roof, his breath and heartbeat both feeling like they’d been snatched away in an instant.
What the hell had Huo Qinqi just said...
They’d been thinking about how to force the car ahead to stop. From the looks of it, those guys were planning to stage a rear-end accident. Otherwise, Lin Luyou could just stay hunkered down in her car with the kid. If they tried to break the windows it’d be a pain, and she’d have time to call for help.
"So what do we do?" On this kind of thing, Huo Qinqi had more experience than Jinsang.
Jinsang only heard him say one line:
[Buckle up and hold on!]
Then the car just shot out!
Jinsang had not expected that his so-called solution was just...
Ram them!
Fine, you’re a badass.
But you could at least warn people in advance.
Jiang Yanting sat in the back, just holding a side handle, his face still blank.
"Huo." Jinsang watched him slam the car into the van and keep pushing forward, trying to force it to a stop, his brows knitted.
"My car’s solid. It won’t break."
"..."
All around them it was grinding metal and tires screaming against the road. It only lasted a few seconds.
But sitting inside the car, it felt like forever.
Huo Qinqi clearly did this kind of thing a lot.
Back on missions, it wasn’t just cars—if he had to ram a plane, as long as the op needed it, he wouldn’t even blink.
