Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero

Chapter 591 - 575: The End of Deduction Pushing Open the Gate of Truth!

Chapter 591: Chapter 575: The End of Deduction, Pushing Open the Gate of Truth!

The puppet’s exclusive laboratory not only possessed the most expensive cutting-edge equipment in Cybertron Fortress, but it was also the quietest place in all of Cybertron. Even Jarvis had voluntarily entered Silence Mode.

Allen had been here for seven full days.

Like a watchmaker pursuing absolute perfection, he was personally polishing the new version of Artificial Human No. 18.

Piece by piece, the Spiritual Remains Steel components, shimmering with a faint green luster, were assembled and spliced together under his steady Craftsman’s Hand. From a finger bone to the thoracic skeleton supporting the spine, every joint’s bite clearance, every routing curve of the Magic Circuits, and every thickness tolerance of the armor plates... all were perceived by his Spiritual Power and calibrated by his Magic Power.

This was his specialty, the domain he was most familiar and confident in as an Alchemy Wizard.

Covering the biomimetic skin was the step that tested his patience the most. This batch of special Biomimetic Polymer Materials was top-tier goods that the Wesren Heavy Industry Team had spent a fortune to bring back from Hub City. The outer layer felt as warm and soft as a real human girl’s skin, but the inner layer was maniacally woven with over three thousand layers of miniature Rune Arrays. As long as more than 5% of the tissue remained after a Witchcraft bombardment, it could achieve rapid self-repair.

But the key was that this material couldn’t be simply and crudely pasted on. It had to form a flawless Magic Conductivity interface with the Spiritual Remains Steel skeleton.

Allen focused his Spiritual Power into probes thinner than a strand of hair, sweeping inch by inch across the covered areas. Whenever he found a substandard spot, he would immediately peel it off and start over. Several sub-threads of his mind connected simultaneously to assist, each responsible for monitoring the fit data of a specific region.

Seven hours later, the final piece of biomimetic skin was applied.

Allen straightened his back and stretched his cervical spine, which had grown slightly stiff from maintaining the same posture for so long. Of course, his current "cervical spine" was also a creation. The shell he inhabited theoretically shouldn’t experience low-level issues like muscle soreness. But one of the side effects of uploading his consciousness was that his soul would faithfully simulate the "fleshly" sense of fatigue, compensating for the illusions caused by the absence of various biological glands.

It was a bizarre phantom limb pain. Or rather, it was proof that in his long journey of mechanical ascension, the depths of Allen’s soul remained firmly anchored to "being human."

The beautifully curved body lying quietly on the platform was now entirely covered in the latest biomimetic gel skin. With shoulder-length golden hair and closed ice-blue eyes, her coldly glamorous face was identical to the lost first-generation model in his memory.

Allen took a deep breath, his eyes turning focused once again.

He picked up a Control Core resting in a constant Rune Force Field. Inside the transparent container, an "artificial soul" that had been meticulously cultivated for over half a month emitted a faint blue glow. He carefully opened No. 18’s cranial cover and implanted this brand-new Control Core into it.

The neural hub interface made of Mithril docked perfectly, and a faint fluctuation flashed along her spine before vanishing.

The vast majority of the work was already done. Allen’s gaze shifted to the most crucial component—a silver engine, only the size of two fists, yet capable of providing surging power. Its structure was so complex it would make any Alchemy Master’s scalp tingle.

Hephaestus Type III, a Dawn Star Level miniaturized Magic Engine.

Cramming Dawn Star Level surging power into such a small volume was in itself an engineering miracle. And the cornerstone supporting this miracle was precisely Spiritual Remains Steel. Only the strength of Spiritual Remains Steel could withstand the almost tyrannical Energy Output of the Hephaestus Type-III Engine without melting into a puddle of molten metal within three seconds.

When he initially designed the engine scheme, he had tested no fewer than twenty conventional grade-four alloys. Not a single one could simultaneously meet the three hard metrics of strength, conductivity efficiency, and resistance to Law Erosion. It was the birth of Spiritual Remains Steel that allowed the long-designed Hephaestus Type-III Engine to transition from a blueprint to reality.

Holding this heavy "heart" in one hand, Allen slowly walked to the workbench and precisely embedded it into the reserved slot in No. 18’s chest cavity.

It fit seamlessly. The engine’s interfaces docked perfectly with the Energy Circuits covering her entire body, letting out an extremely satisfying mechanical lock click.

The final step. A soft glow of Magic Power lit up at Allen’s fingertips, guiding two deep blue fuel rods, slightly thinner than a thumb, to slowly slide into the containment chambers on both sides of the engine.

Unlike the Magic Engines inside medium and large Golems, this type of miniaturized engine, constrained by its volume, could not accommodate functional modules that autonomously absorbed Magic Power for energy storage and "power generation." It could only use these high-energy fuel rods, which provided ten years of use per insertion.

CLICK. The fuel rods were fully inserted.

The lights in the entire laboratory suddenly dimmed, and the energy indicators on all the equipment flickered for a split second. An indescribably terrifying energy was frantically awakening and accumulating within that small chest cavity, like an Abyss Giant Beast about to break out of its floodgates.

[Engine ignition countdown... 10... 9... A small-scale magic tide is expected to occur.]

Allen took a half-step back. His massive Spiritual Power poured out like spilled mercury, monitoring every minute change within No. 18’s body. In his perception, that tiny engine seemed to transform into a nascent star. Tsunami-like energy surged along the Magic Circuits and the Spiritual Remains Steel, flooding into every corner of the mechanical frame.

This was a visual feast on a microscopic level.

He could clearly see how every crystal lattice of the Spiritual Remains Steel resisted under the energy impact, and how the stress was conducted along specific paths to adjacent structures. He saw how the molecules of the Radiant Black Steel base resonated with the Star Gold conductive wires. He saw the role played by the 0.3% Dawn Star Soul Crystal powder inside the containment ring. They were not merely "neutralizing stabilizers"; they acted like lighthouses in an ocean of metal lattices, guiding the flow of energy at a microscopic level.

His "vision" spread along the Magic Circuits.

The main circuits, the branch circuits, the heat dissipation Rune Array, the energy buffering structures, every bone of the Spiritual Remains Steel skeleton, the mating surfaces of every joint... every piece of metal on the No. 18 second-generation machine became completely transparent in his perception.

He didn’t even need to test it; his mind had already perfectly simulated every scene of No. 18 fully erupting in power. He pictured how the Storm Airflow Acceleration Rune Array in her leg skeleton synergized with the elastic modulus of the Spiritual Remains Steel; the force distribution of every push and landing; the rebound angles; and even the accumulation rate of metal fatigue.

The stress and deformation of every metal component were revealed in exquisite, immaculate detail.

"7... 6... 5..." Jarvis’s countdown sounded as distant as if it were coming from another dimension.

Allen stood unmoving, his pupils dilating slightly. His creation was "showing" him the true essence of metal. No—it wasn’t the creation showing him. It was himself.

It was every piece of data, every experiment, and every bit of experience gleaned from failed formulas since his apprentice days being simultaneously "activated" at this moment.

From the tactile feedback of shaping Black Patterned Magic Steel with cheap equipment in his dorm room back when he was an apprentice, to forty-one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one alloy formulas, and the transformation records of thousands of metals under conditions like extreme temperature, extreme pressure, Magic Power saturation, and Law Erosion.

And the entire process parameters of Spiritual Remains Steel from its first trial to its finalization; the damage data of the Ten Thousand Miles of Sunshine’s bow armor when suffering Law Erosion in the Sea of Magical Power; the stress analysis report of the PX-4 "Xiong Da" main engine’s containment core...

Everything regarding his past with metals was, at this moment, like hundreds of thousands of puzzle pieces being simultaneously flipped over, revealing the complete picture on the back that no one had ever seen before.

He was not merely observing metal. He was gradually "understanding" the essence of metal, just as he had already understood the soul.

His Mechanical Mind whirred frantically. The cognitive sub-threads were entirely overloaded, attempting to translate this fleeting moment of "understanding" into recordable data, but they all returned errors!

[Warning! Logic conflict! Data overflow! Unable to parse—]

Because this was not an insight that could be measured with mortal data. This was the underlying code that transcended logic. It was the materialization of the Law’s will.

Only at this moment did Allen suddenly realize. His countless days and nights of tedious experiments and every meticulous formula adjustment had never been him marching in place. Instead, without realizing it, he had been climbing step by step up the stairway leading to truth.

The birth of Spiritual Remains Steel was ironclad proof that he had once again kicked open the door to truth!

"5... 4... 3..."

The Hephaestus Type-III Engine powered up to full capacity, on the brink of ignition.

A muffled hum erupted deep within the chest cavity. Deep blue light spewed from the gaps in the unclosed sternum, dyeing the entire laboratory the color of the deep sea.

And at this exact moment, that familiar mighty power descended once again.

Allen’s soul was lifted from its shell by a gentle yet irresistible force. His consciousness pierced through the Alchemy Puppet’s metal skull, pierced through the layers of blast doors in the laboratory, and pierced through the dome of Cybertron Fortress.

For the third time, he "surfaced."

The Law Star River unfolded once again at the zenith of the universe.

Billions of stars stretched across the cosmic dome, weaving the underlying code that ran the world. Unlike the last time, he had now touched the Soul Law, and his "vision" was clearer and broader than before.

He could distinguish the hues and pulsations of more stars. The one blazing like a supernova explosion was the Law of Fire. The one steady and dense like a galactic cornerstone was the Law of Earth and Stone. The one flowing like a nebular vortex was the Law of Water.

Sharp like... metal. He did not need to search for it.

Just as the star of the Soul Law had arrived uninvited last time, the star belonging to "Metal" was currently hovering quietly right above his head, well within reach. It had always been there.

As if from the very moment he chose the path of the Golem and wrote down his first alloy formula in his notebook, it had already cast its gaze upon him, silently waiting for this mortal to walk up to it.

Standing beneath this river of stars capable of driving any Wizard into madness, Allen’s heart surged with intense emotion.

"So that’s how it is... It is not me seeking the Law, but my path itself interpreting the Law," he thought.

He did not reach out his hand. He merely let out a soft sigh in his heart.

That dazzling star of Metal trembled slightly, as if receiving the deepest response, and docilely descended toward Allen.
