Victor glared at Li Wei, his face thunderous.

The white-haired old man, Claude, stood to one side, observing Li Wei with a look of clear admiration.

"Do you have any idea what you just did?" Victor demanded furiously.

Li Wei replied with a helpless expression, "I didn’t know it would have such serious consequences. I was just trying to find a way in."

Claude chuckled. "Li Wei, let it go. No real harm was done, after all."

At these words, Victor suppressed his anger and lingering fear, looking at Claude with an exasperated expression.

"Lord Vice Tower Master, this man nearly caused the Space Tower to Fall! How can something so serious be brushed aside so lightly?"

The incident began when Li Wei discovered the energy convergence point where the Space Tower absorbed the surrounding Heaven and Earth Magic Elements to power its Arrays.

Li Wei had wanted to enter the Space Tower, but found himself with no way in.

So, he cast a Space Ripping Spell near the energy convergence point.

Unexpectedly, he tore through the pocket dimension inside the Space Tower used to store Magic Energy.

This caused a massive amount of Magic Energy to leak out, nearly cutting off the power supply to the Space Tower’s foundational levitation Array and its other Space Arrays.

Fortunately, Victor had been patrolling at the time, inspecting the Magic Arrays at the base of the Space Tower.

He discovered the Magic Energy leak in time and notified the Space Tower’s leadership.

Claude—the very same white-haired old man Li Wei had met in the Space Tower library—was the first to arrive on the scene.

"Master, this man caused a major incident," Timis said. "By all rights, the Space Tower must investigate his intentions to prevent any further damage."

Timis was one of Claude’s disciples.

He was also a member of the Space Tower’s council.

Claude glanced at him. "Do you think anyone can pose a threat to the Space Tower while I’m here?"

Timis fell silent for a moment before nodding. "Understood, Master."

"We’ll take our leave, then. Victor, I’ll trouble you to write a detailed report on the incident and submit it to the council."

Victor nodded in acknowledgment.

Outwardly, he agreed without objection.

"You are forbidden from leaving the Space Tower until the council has passed judgment on your actions," Victor replied.

Li Wei’s brow furrowed slightly before smoothing out in resignation.

’I’m at their mercy right now,’ Li Wei thought. ’I have no choice but to follow the Space Tower’s Rules.’

"Fine. Let me know when there’s a decision. The sooner, the better," Li Wei said.

Victor said, "Don’t worry. You’re not going anywhere."

After leaving the interrogation room, Li Wei walked to the Space Tower’s library.

Li Wei knocked on the door to the librarian’s room.

A voice came from within.

"Come in. The door’s unlocked."

Li Wei pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Seeing the white-bearded old man, Claude, he once again offered his sincere thanks. "Thank you again for your help, Senior."

Claude smiled. "Think nothing of it."

He looked at Li Wei, his expression turning curious. "Compared to all this, I’m much more interested in what happened to you."
