Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 719 - 610: Transformation

Chapter 719: Chapter 610: Transformation

Ten years later.

The sky of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane has changed.

Though the gray-red hue remains, it’s no longer the oppressively stifling atmosphere it once was.

The heavens have lifted, and the clouds have thickened.

In the distance, the volcanic craters still emit smoke, but the wind disperses these clouds halfway up, no longer lingering as before.

Jeming stood outside the laboratory, glanced up for a moment, then turned and entered the Teleportation Array.

As the light faded, he appeared on an observation platform at the plane’s edge.

The platform floated in the void, beneath it, the eternal twisting colors of the Chaotic Void, and behind him, the slowly expanding boundary of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane.

A gray-robed engineering manager was already waiting there, holding a data tablet, and promptly approached upon seeing Jeming.

"Honorable Jeming," the manager greeted respectfully, "the preliminary phase of the plane fusion has been completed."

"Thank you for your efforts."

Jeming nodded and walked to the platform’s edge, overlooking the growing land beneath.

The ten planes he brought back from the Parallel World have been patched, anchored, and merged by the Star Ring Federation engineering team for a full decade, now fully integrated with the Purgatory Sulfur Plane.

The emerging land extends outward from the original boundary, with gray-black volcanic rock and deep brown sedimentary rock interwoven, resembling an old garment patched with patches.

Although unsightly, the area has indeed expanded substantially.

"Basically, everything that can be done manually is completed; the rest is up to time to allow it to fully merge," the manager scrolled his data tablet.

"According to estimates, this will take several hundred years. The area of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane has expanded more than twentyfold, along with a corresponding increase in resource reserves. Moreover..." he paused, expressing a touch of emotion in his tone, "according to the latest measurements, the size of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane is now sufficient to be upgraded from a small to a medium-sized plane."

Jeming nodded in satisfaction at this information: "Thanks to you for your efforts during this period."

A medium-sized plane, in terms of surface area in its previous world, is roughly akin to those larger gas planets, significantly increasing the habitable range.

"You’re too kind, sir, this is our job. If the inspection is fine, I will report the task as completed."

"Naturally..."

Having bid farewell to the entire engineering team, upon returning to the laboratory, a Black Giant Priest was already waiting at the door.

It held a crystal disk recording the report, with its silver-white patterns denser than ten years ago, and its eyes shone with greater agility.

"Sir, the resource exploration reports from the ten planes have all been compiled." The Black Giant Priest handed over the report, "The situation isn’t optimistic."

Jeming took the report and slowly scrolled it down.

As he expected, those planes were too harshly exploited by the Wizard Civilization from the Parallel World.

Metal veins have mostly disappeared, the Energy Crystal Layer has been mined completely, and even much of the geothermal energy has been siphoned away.

Pollution is the more troublesome aspect.

These planes still contain a significant amount of toxins and radiation left from wars, with some areas’ pollution levels so high that even Low Tier Wizards cannot stay for long.

"Fortunately, the Origin is relatively intact." Jeming closed the report with a calm demeanor.

The Black Giant Priest nodded: "Yes. Although the Parallel World’s Wizards are reckless, they know not to touch the Plane Origin. As long as the Origin remains, resources will eventually recover."

"That’s good. Has the habitable area been tallied?"

Upon hearing this question, the Black Giant Priest became a bit excited: "The habitable areas have been compiled too; there’s considerable growth, and apart from aquatic areas, we can live in all other regions."

"Pollution doesn’t significantly affect our race, as Elemental Creatures have much higher resistance to toxins and radiation than Flesh Creatures."

Jeming let out a soft "Mhm" and walked to the window, gazing at the gray-red sky.

The actual usable area has indeed increased, which is good news.

Although the Plane Origin can slowly repair everything, that process spans millennia.

So some workforce needs to be specifically allocated to clean up pollution in the future.

After all, such a massive plane isn’t intended to nurture only the Black Giant race.

But those are matters for later.

Jeming withdrew his gaze, turned to the Black Giant Priest, and said: "The usable land area of the Purgatory Sulfur Plane has expanded twentyfold, so it’s about time we increase the population."

The Black Giant Priest’s eyes brightened.

Having been with Jeming for so many years, it knew well what those words implied.

"Previously, due to plane size restrictions, the Black Giant race could only be maintained at just over ten billion," Jeming’s voice was calm, but something flickered in his eyes, "Now the space is larger, we can bolster our numbers."

The Black Giant Priest breathed noticeably faster.

At ten billion Black Giants, the Purgatory Sulfur Plane was at its carrying limit.

Any more, and the living conditions would become excessively crowded.

But now, with the plane upgraded and more land available, their race could expand once more.

"But before expanding the army..." Jeming’s tone shifted, a smile curling at the corner of his mouth, "let’s upgrade the Incubation Pool first."

He raised his hand, revealing a silver-white crystal in his palm.

It’s one of his most crucial research achievements over the years.

By thoroughly researching the Black Giant Leader Melt Mountain and incorporating the Parallel World’s Wizard Civilization’s radical Biological Transformation technology, he finally achieved a breakthrough in the Black Giant’s genetic sequence.

In other aspects, the Parallel World’s Wizard Civilization is indeed backward, but in terms of radical Biological Transformation, they have vastly outpaced the current world’s Wizard Civilization.

The kind of desperate, cost-unconsidered madness that risks an entire race at the edge of life and death is something the current world’s Wizard Civilization would never learn.

And Jeming, from their core database, extracted all of the most fundamental biochemical transformation technologies.

"Based on current technical deductions, the new Incubation Pool should enhance the innate foundation of new born Black Giants by thirty percent." Jeming handed the silver-white crystal, containing extensive knowledge, to the Black Giant Priest, "Moreover, it’s a comprehensive enhancement in physical quality, energy absorption efficiency, and soul strength."

The Black Giant Priest trembled while holding the crystal.

This means that the new generation of Black Giants will be thirty percent stronger than their predecessors from the moment they are born.

"The materials list is at the end," Jeming said, "Go prepare."

The Black Giant Priest bowed deeply, turned, and left with the crystal, moving so swiftly it seemed to fly.

Jeming watched its retreating figure, suddenly finding it amusing.

Over the years, it was the first time he’d seen it so excited.

He turned and walked out of the laboratory, heading toward the Incubation Pool.

The Incubation Pool gathered at the deepest end of the plains, covered by a massive building that spanned dozens of kilometers.

After years of transformation, the Incubation Pool had vastly changed in appearance.

The black metal exterior was engraved with dense runes, and inside were hundreds of gigantic cultivation tanks, each capable of simultaneously hatching tens of thousands of Black Giants.

Jeming landed at the entrance of the Incubation Pool, stepping inside.

Inside, hundreds of Black Giant Priests were busy dismantling old cultivation tanks and transporting new materials.

Upon seeing Jeming enter, they paused their work and bowed in greeting.

Jeming waved them on, indicating they should continue.

He walked through the bustling crowd to the deepest part of the Incubation Pool.
