Chapter 345: Chapter 194: Epic Skill: Phantom Sword Dance

"Well said! Gratefully accept our ’gift’!"

"Alright, alright, enough with the chatter. More people will probably be here soon. Let’s get to the fun part."

"Yeah, let’s get a taste while it’s not too crowded... The Key! Hurry up and bring the Key to open the cell."

"The Key’s with me."

A member of the gang spoke as he reached for his waist.

In the next moment, however, he suddenly couldn’t feel his hand.

It was a peculiar sensation, as if his hand had just fallen off.

He looked down and, by the faint torchlight, saw his own palm drop to the floor.

"Hurry up! What are you dawdling for?"

"Taking this long just to get a key. Let’s hope you last longer than it takes to find it!"

...

His companions’ jeers didn’t snap him out of his stupor. Not until the intense, searing pain finally struck.

"AAARGH—! My hand, my hand!"

After a brief silence, a blood-curdling scream erupted from his lips.

The other gang members jumped in alarm. Staring intently, they saw that his hand had, at some unknown point, been severed.

"Someone’s here!"

As men accustomed to fighting and killing, they reacted instantly, drawing their weapons and scanning their surroundings with caution.

Yet in the dim dungeon, aside from them and the girls in the cells, there was no one else to be seen.

"AAARGH—!"

Another scream suddenly pierced the air. The men whipped their heads around to see one of their own’s legs abruptly severed at the thigh. He instantly lost his balance and crashed to the ground, blood gushing from the wound as he clutched it, crying and wailing in agony.

"Who the hell is doing this? This is the Blood Sea Gang!"

"My friend, I don’t know why you’re here, but I advise you to think this through. Our gang’s boss will be here any minute. He’s nearly a Level 5 Professional, and everyone in Lania City knows that the Blood Sea Gang’s connections run deep."

It was the same man from before, the one who thought he was clever. He maintained his composure, hoping his words would make the attacker hesitate for fear of repercussions.

It was useless, of course. The next moment, he felt a slight chill on his neck, and his vision began to spin.

The thud of a head hitting the floor echoed in the confined space.

The terror of the Blood Sea Gang members was magnified once again.

They descended into a full-blown panic. Forgetting all about face and dignity, they scrambled to flee the dungeon.

But the figure hidden in the darkness was like the Grim Reaper, closing in. Unhurried, it struck them down one by one, leaving no one behind. Even those who had been intentionally wounded but not killed were now dealt a final blow.

Crisp footsteps once again sounded at the entrance of the dungeon.

A figure in a purple Magic Robe approached slowly. Looking at the scene before her, she spoke without raising her head. "Isn’t this a bit too gory, Shaya?"

A slender figure suddenly appeared before her. "For scum like them, this is getting off easy."

"Haha..."

Flora smiled. "Of course. I was just afraid you’d scare the girls."

The young woman called Shaya seemed to realize this as well, scratching her head in embarrassment. "Then... then what should I do?"

Just like that, her previous air of a cold, detached master vanished completely, replaced by that of a clueless fool.

Flora shook her head. "What’s done is done. There’s no use dwelling on it. Let’s just hurry and get them out of here."

As she spoke, a searing Flame appeared in her hand, melting the iron bars of a nearby cell.

The temperature in the dungeon shot up, and though the girls were drenched in sweat, they watched the scene unfold with faces full of excitement.

They had been waiting in the dungeon for days, steeped in despair. They had even seen some of the girls who arrived before them taken away, sent to a Goblin Nest in the forest...

They had thought their fate was sealed. When they heard what those men were planning, they had even felt a twisted sense of relief amid their despair.

Being tormented by humans was still better than being tormented by Goblins. And that didn’t even touch on the possibility of being used as a "vessel," forced to bear Goblin offspring. The very thought was horrifying enough to make one’s skin crawl.

But now, they were actually being saved.

A true Hero had descended from the heavens to save them!

"Thank you, thank you..."

Shaya was using the dagger in her hand to effortlessly slice through the thick iron chains.

The chains, as thick as the girls’ own forearms, seemed like soft pudding in front of her. She sliced through them with ease and precision, never once nicking their skin.

Nearby, Flora sighed and pressed a hand to her forehead. She bent down, picked the Key up from the floor, and used it to open the locks on the chains.

’This girl... she’s hopelessly dense.’

Shaya was one of her few friends. A fellow genius graduate from the Kingdom National Academy, Shaya was her senior and even a little stronger than her.

Flora’s return had been delayed this time, and she had written back to the Royal Capital, so Shaya had rushed over to help. Her assistance had been immense.

Flora was a Mage, after all. Despite her power, tasks like stealth, tracking, and intelligence gathering were clearly not her strengths.

Having a specialist for such tasks was crucial to her investigation.

With Shaya’s help, and with the Blood Sea Gang as a known starting point, they had indeed uncovered some leads.

"Someone’s coming..."

Shaya suddenly stopped what she was doing and looked toward the underground passage ahead.
