Chapter 366: Chapter 201: Terrifying Epic Equipment—Frost Dragon Scale Sword

Next was the Assassin Profession, for which Lin Mo chose the [Poisoning] skill.

This was a rather unique skill of the Blue Excellent Level. It couldn’t be cast directly; instead, the user had to prepare their own poison. The [Poisoning] skill could then be used to quickly coat a weapon with the poison and enhance its toxicity.

After that came the Knight Profession. Lin Mo chose a green [Shield Counter] skill, which was a fairly classic skill for Knights.

Next came the more important categories: Ranger Skills and Priest Skills.

Previously, after Lin Mo’s Mage Profession had advanced to the Senior Level, his Priest Profession had not advanced with it.

At the time, he speculated it was because some other conditions hadn’t been met, such as the number of skills or their level of mastery. It was also possible that the requirements for High Tier Skills had not been fulfilled.

This was an extremely rare situation, and in all likelihood, he was the only one who would ever encounter it.

After all, a normal Professional without sufficient skills would never be able to reach the Senior Tier.

So, it was only natural that these conditions weren’t widely known.

Lin Mo selected an Excellent Level Ranger Skill: [Eagle Eye].

It was a very useful skill that consumed Qi and Blood to increase his range and precision of vision. It also came with a minor night-vision ability. Lin Mo never turned down a utility skill that could come in handy at a critical moment.

Most of the other skills were related to archery; after all, that was the Ranger Profession’s signature specialty and primary means of attack.

Ultimately, Lin Mo selected a skill called [Spiral Arrow] and another called [Whirlwind Arrow], both of which were Green Excellent Level.

When it came to Priest Skills, the collection wasn’t large—there were only two, so Lin Mo simply took both.

One was [Continuous Healing], which provided a continuous, small healing effect, and the other was [Light’s Drumming], which could restore Physical Strength. Both were Green Excellent Level skills.

This brought his total to six Excellent Level skills and one Blue Excellent Level skill.

Finally, there were the Mage Class skills.

Lin Mo looked over the options and ultimately selected two "white" magic skills—[Earth Spike Technique] and [Water Ball Skill]—and one Blue Exquisite Magic, [Thunderous Fall].

That should be about right. He had definitely chosen more than his allotted number, but as Lady Beixila had just said, going a little over was fine.

With the skills selected, just as before, it was time to go into seclusion to train.

This time was different from the last, however. Lady Beixila trusted him more, so Lin Mo was allowed to take the scrolls back to the manor. He just needed to have Shefilya return them once he was done learning the skills.

Oh, right, there was also Ali’s Green Excellent Level skill. Lin Mo helped her choose [Fierce Pounce], a skill he thought would suit her well. As for the three Excellent Level pieces of equipment, Lin Mo simply discussed it with Auntie Beixila and had them exchanged for a single piece of Excellent Level armor.

Having finally collected all the rewards, Lin Mo said goodbye to Auntie Beixila and left the manor.

As he was leaving, Beixila and Shefilya exchanged a look. Shefilya instantly understood, her eyes filled with resolve.

Back at their manor, Ali was already awake and had eaten. Lin Mo gave Ali the Gold Coins and armor that were her due, along with the Steel Splitting Sword he no longer used.

"This sword... can I really have it?"

Ali’s surprised yet shy expression reminded Lin Mo of his own behavior back in the vault, and he couldn’t help but smile. "It’s nothing. Why stand on ceremony with me?"

"Th-then... thank you, darling..."

With that, Ali gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and ran off, her face beet red.

Lin Mo was left dumbfounded. ’Jeez, when she plays the ’Knight’ at night, she’s always so bold and heroic. But she gets shy just from calling me ’darling’?’

’I’ll never understand how a Half-Beastman’s mind works.’

’The day is still young. I should spend the rest of it learning these new skills...’
