Chapter 790: Chapter 535: Barbaric World and Catastrophe Level Molten Giant Dragon
Time always flies.
Especially when one is busy.
Raylo had been swamped for the past few days.
The Nine-headed Demon Serpent’s influence in this world had vanished, and order needed to be re-established in the Jade Swamp.
The vast amount of loot seized after defeating the Fiery Sun Kingdom’s expeditionary force needed to be sorted. The soldiers had to be rewarded, the casualties compensated, and the prisoners of war managed.
Fortunately, with Ed and a host of loyal subordinates managing things, everything was handled in a neat and orderly fashion.
All he had to do was make the major decisions.
Even so, Raylo was stretched thin.
During that time, he and Gaius even made a round trip to Thunder Dragon City, using a spatial rift created by Coal Ball, to manage the Duchy’s affairs.
A week flew by in the blink of an eye.
「One morning.」
Raylo stood in the center of the workshop.
The three little ones were roughhousing beside him.
Across from him stood three Legendary Mages.
"Everyone’s here."
Mage Delin said.
"Let’s set out. The sooner we leave, the sooner we’ll return."
Mage Delin took the first step, entering the spatial rift that radiated a primeval aura.
The moment he stepped into the spatial rift, Raylo felt a completely different aura.
It was no longer the gentle and orderly Magic Power of the main world.
The aura here...
Wild, chaotic, and filled with a primitive Life Force.
Like a glass of untamed liquor—spicy, burning, and rushing straight to his head.
The surrounding scenery changed as well.
They weren’t standing on solid ground but were floating in a silent night sky.
Below them was endless darkness.
Above them, unfamiliar Stars.
A huge moon, radiating a ghastly white light, hung high in the sky, illuminating the silhouettes of the rolling mountain range below, making them look like the spine of a slumbering Giant Beast.
"So this is the Barbaric World..."
Raylo muttered to himself.
A faint smell of humus permeated the air.
The wind moaned, like the wailing of ghosts.
"A world that has not yet been fully civilized."
Mage Wendel’s voice sounded from beside him.
"The free-floating Elemental Energy is very active, but it’s mixed and impure, and the Power of Rule is also relatively weak."
"I wonder if any intelligent life has emerged here!"
"For us, that’s a good thing."
Mage Morpheus added.
"Spells consume less power to cast and are more potent."
Mage Delin said nothing.
He just floated there quietly, his gaze piercing the darkness, as if feeling the pulse of this world.
After a moment, he slowly extended his hand.
VMMMM...
The Demon Serpent’s Eye rose from his palm, floating quietly in mid-air.
The wild Elemental Energy in the surroundings seemed to be pushed aside by some invisible force, forming a small vacuum.
A dark halo flowed across the surface of the serpent’s eye.
"Hydra’s will and spirit... still linger in its eye."
Mage Delin’s voice was steady.
"This is the clearest signpost."
As he spoke, he closed his eyes.
The light from the Demon Serpent’s Eye suddenly flared. Wisps of black mist, visible to the naked eye, rose from it, swirling and converging in the air.
Within the mist, it was as if countless tormented souls were wailing, filled with resentment, venomous hatred, and madness.
This was the tangible manifestation of the Nine-headed Demon Serpent Hydra’s Spiritual Power.
Raylo saw the mass of black mist twist and struggle in the air, as if trying to escape, but it was firmly imprisoned in place by an invisible force.
The black mist finally converged, pointing toward a certain direction in the night.
"Found it."
Mage Delin opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing within them.
He put away the Demon Serpent’s Eye and looked at Mage Morpheus.
"Direction, southwest. Approximately thirty thousand kilometers from here."
Thirty thousand kilometers.
For a Mortal, this distance was an insurmountable chasm.
But for the likes of them, it was but a stone’s throw away.
"Leave it to me."
Mage Morpheus smiled faintly.
He opened his palm.
A Crystal Ball, about the size of a fist, appeared in his palm.
The inside of the sphere was not transparent; instead, it seemed to contain an entire, deep starry sky.
Countless Stars slowly swirled within, forming magnificent Nebulae and emitting mysterious and powerful spatial fluctuations.
"The Divine Artifact, the ’Space Magic Ball’."
Mage Morpheus’s tone held a hint of pride.
"Wendel was a great help. We finally managed to complete it before we left."
"With this, most Space Barriers and barriers between worlds can’t stop us."
Raylo looked at the Space Magic Ball and couldn’t help but marvel. ’Truly a Divine Artifact forged with the heart and soul of a top-tier Legendary Mage.’
"Get ready."
Mage Morpheus didn’t explain further. He infused his Magic Power into the Space Magic Ball.
HUMMM!
The Magic Ball shone brightly. The Nebulae inside began to spin rapidly, and one Star after another lit up.
After a few breaths’ time.
The space in front of the Magic Ball began to ripple.
Immediately after, a silver crack appeared out of thin air.
The crack expanded rapidly, forming a spatial portal with edges that flickered with silver arcs of electricity.
"Let’s go."
Mage Morpheus was the first to step into the spatial portal.
Mage Wendel and Mage Delin followed close behind.
Raylo, along with the three little ones, followed without hesitation.
A brief sensation of weightlessness.
When Raylo’s vision cleared, the dark, damp lair of the Hydra he had expected was nowhere to be seen.
In its place was a blinding crimson.
What hit him was a terrifying heatwave, hot enough to melt steel in an instant.
They were directly above the crater of a massive active volcano!
Below was a lake of roiling, boiling lava. Huge bubbles burst on its surface, splashing waves of Flame dozens of meters high.
