Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 818 - 549: Hill Giant Migration Journey

Chapter 818: Chapter 549: Hill Giant Migration Journey

Silver Moon Blade retracted its wings, its thousand-meter-long body coiled in the open space outside the plaza. With its massive head resting on its front claws, it looked like an exquisitely crafted silver sculpture. Its silver dragon eyes, half-open and reflecting the dancing firelight, calmly watched the tiny yet vibrant lives before it. On its broad back, three "cats"—one white, one black, and one blue—were frolicking and rolling around. Moonlight pinned down Lightning, who was attempting a sneak attack, with a single swipe of her paw. Coal Ball took the opportunity to pile on, pouncing on Lightning and drawing a low, dissatisfied growl from the latter. To Silver Moon Blade, who was accustomed to silence and solitude, everything before it was full of novelty. This gathering known as a "party" and this atmosphere permeating the air described as "lively" were experiences it had never known in its past memories.

"My lord, dinner is ready." Ed walked briskly to Raylo’s side.

Raylo nodded, stood up, and clapped his hands. The noisy plaza instantly quieted down as everyone’s gaze converged on him.

"Today, our Black Stone Territory welcomes a distinguished guest, a powerful ally." Raylo turned sideways and reached out to point at the silent Silver Mountain Range. "Let us welcome His Excellency Silver Moon Blade!"

ROAR!

The Knights erupted in earth-shattering cheers. Raising their ale mugs high, they paid their highest respects to the legendary creature. Silver Moon Blade’s pale golden eyes shifted. It seemed a bit puzzled, but it could feel the heartfelt goodwill and respect.

"Serve the food!" Raylo said with a smile.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Heavy footsteps rang out. Eight Hill Giants, each over ten meters tall, emerged in pairs, carrying four massive iron platters nearly five meters in diameter. On the platters lay Giant Beast meat, roasted over a bonfire until golden and dripping with grease. The rich aroma of the meat, mixed with the scent of spices, instantly ignited everyone’s appetite. It was the thigh meat of the Domain Level Magical Beast, the Swamp Giant Crocodile, that they had stockpiled earlier. Just smelling this mouth-watering aroma was enough to make the Knights salivate.

The Hill Giants carefully placed the four enormous iron platters next to four bonfires. The largest portion was set steadily in front of Silver Moon Blade. Its gaze fell upon the plate of "food" emitting a strange aroma. In its understanding, food consisted of torn, bloody raw meat. Yet the thing before it was charred golden on the outside while revealing a tempting pink on the inside, with some unknown green and red powders sprinkled on the surface. "Can this be eaten?" it wondered, feeling somewhat hesitant.

AWOO!

Moonlight leaped gracefully from its back, landing beside the massive iron platter. She grabbed a small piece of meat—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—swallowed it in a few bites, and then looked up, calling out to Silver Moon Blade. Seeing that Her Highness Princess had eaten it, Silver Moon Blade hesitated no longer. It lowered its noble head, carefully stuck out its tongue, and gave the giant roast meat a gentle lick, rolling away a meaty bone.

The next moment, those pale golden dragon eyes widened drastically. A complex flavor it had never experienced before exploded violently on its taste buds. The charred crispness of the skin, the tender juiciness of the meat, the ultimate richness brought by the fat melting at high temperatures, mixed with the savory taste of rock salt and the spiciness of the seasoning... "Delicious!" This word appeared in Silver Moon Blade’s mind for the first time. No longer holding back, it lowered its massive head and began to feast.

Seeing this scene, a smile tugged at the corners of Raylo’s mouth. If you want to keep a dragon, you must first win over its stomach. This principle was universally applicable. The atmosphere of the banquet reached its climax. The Knights shared the roast meat and took large gulps of ale. The Hill Giants also received their portions, eating until their mouths were covered in grease. Silver Moon Blade ended up devouring a full six large platters of roast meat before it reluctantly stopped. Of course, it wasn’t because it was full, but rather because the chefs in the kitchen were simply too overwhelmed to keep up. This was a carnival in the truest sense. Humans, Giants, and dragons shared the same food and joy under the same starry sky.

As the banquet drew to a close, the Knights had already dispersed. Raylo sat by the bonfire with Moonlight curled up in his arms, already drowsy. Coal Ball and Lightning were also dozing off to the side. Silver Moon Blade had finished its dinner and was resting quietly nearby, its silver eyes gazing at Moonlight in Raylo’s arms with a gentle and devout expression.

"Lord Guardian." Suddenly, Silver Moon Blade’s cold and solemn voice echoed directly in Raylo’s mind.

"Hmm?" Raylo looked up at it.

"Thank you for your hospitality. This is an experience... I have never had before." A trace of sincerity carried in Silver Moon Blade’s tone.

Raylo smiled. "I’m glad you liked it."

After a moment of silence, Silver Moon Blade’s voice rang out again. "Lord Guardian, now that I have found Her Highness Princess, I hope to escort her to the depths of the Endless Forest Sea as soon as possible." Its voice became incredibly solemn. "There lie the White Moon Remains that fell years ago. That is our homeland and the hope of our revival. Perhaps there are other survivors waiting there for the Queen’s descendant."

"Here it comes," Raylo thought with clear understanding.

The drowsy Moonlight lifted her head from his arms. She first looked at the massive Silver Mountain Range, then turned her little head to gaze at Raylo.
