Chapter 836: Chapter 557: Red Dragon Emperor Aragon II

Mage Delin seemed to notice Raylo’s gaze. He slowly descended from the sky and landed beside him.

"Do you understand it?" the elder mage asked with a smile.

"A lever to pry the rules," Raylo replied concisely.

A sharp glint flashed in Mage Delin’s eyes. He gave Raylo a deep look but didn’t press further. Instead, he pointed to the most complex area at the center of the array.

"This is the ’World Anchor,’ the core of the entire array. Its purpose is to stabilize the spatial structure of our area, preventing the Space Rules from collapsing due to overstretching when we attract the stars," Mage Delin explained slowly. He paused, then pointed to the Mithril veins spreading out like blood vessels. "These are the ’Magic Rails.’ They are responsible for precisely delivering the Magic Power of thousands of mages and the energy of tens of thousands of Magic Crystals to every rune node. An energy deviation anywhere could lead to a chain-reaction disaster."

Raylo listened quietly.

"I see." He nodded in understanding.

His previous perspective had been too limited. He could only see the superficial flow of energy but couldn’t grasp the deeper operation of the rules.

Now that he had entered the Catastrophe Level, this path seemed to have opened up for him as well.

Night fell.

Cliff Horn, which had been bustling all day, finally quieted down.

The mages were resting and practicing Meditation in the camp. Only a few Catastrophe Level mages took turns standing guard to monitor the array’s energy status.

Raylo sat alone at the edge of the cliff. Moonlight curled up at his feet, its silver fur shimmering in the moonlight.

The three little ones—Coal Ball, Sun, and Lightning—had transformed back into their kitten forms. They surrounded him, gently rubbing their heads against his trouser legs.

The sea breeze, carrying a salty, damp scent, brushed against his face and tousled his hair.

With a flip of his hand, he took out four crystal-clear fruits that radiated a rich aura of life. Divine Wood Fruits.

"AWOO!"

"AWOO!"

The little ones’ eyes instantly lit up, and they let out eager purrs from their throats.

"There’s enough for everyone," Raylo chuckled, feeding the Divine Wood Fruits to them one by one.

Recently, with the abundant supply of Divine Wood Fruits, they had steadily stepped into the Peak of the Domain Level, just one step away from the Catastrophe Level.

Lately, they had practically been eating Divine Wood Fruits as regular meals. Coupled with the nourishment from their previous battles and the dissipating energy of the Power of the World, their growth rate had been astonishingly fast.

Raylo was very satisfied. His "Divine Beast Legion" was finally taking shape.

The next morning.

When the first ray of sunlight spilled onto the Star-Attracting Array, the entire formation emitted a low hum, like a Giant Beast being awakened.

All the Mithril veins lit up simultaneously. Soft white light flowed endlessly, forming a spectacularly magnificent picture of Magic.

Mage Delin levitated directly above the array, his expression solemn. His powerful Spiritual Power spread out like spilling mercury, checking every single rune and node over and over again.

Confirming, and reconfirming.

A strategic-level Magic of this magnitude, one capable of altering the entire course of the war, allowed absolutely no room for error.

As noon approached, the atmosphere at Cliff Horn reached a point of extreme solemnity.

A World Destruction Forbidden Spell—just the thought of it was enough to make one’s heart race.

Right then, a spatial ripple spread across the top of the cliff.

A mage wearing a Star Magic Robe appeared, his face weathered and storm-beaten. It was none other than Mage Fernando, who was in charge of reconnaissance.

"Delin!"

Mage Delin slowly opened his eyes, his gaze flashing like lightning.

"Found them!" A trace of excitement appeared on Mage Fernando’s face. "The Light Holy See Fleet is to the northwest, about three hundred kilometers away. They’re heading this way at full speed!"

Three hundred kilometers!

At this distance, a mortal fleet would need one or two days, but for Catastrophe Level experts, it was merely a matter of minutes.

Everyone present felt their hearts tighten.

The war was about to begin.

Mage Delin’s expression remained unchanged as he asked, "Did you plant the devices?"

Mage Fernando pulled a Magic Disc from his robes and handed it to Mage Delin.

"I didn’t fail my mission!

"I infiltrated their main flagship, the *Holy Light Glory*, as well as two escorting Judge Level warships. All three Space Waymarks have been successfully planted at the keels of their ships!"

Space Waymarks!

Raylo’s heart stirred, realizing this must be the Magic device Mage Delin had mentioned for locking onto spatial coordinates. Planted near the Energy Cores, they would continuously lock onto the Light Holy See Fleet’s location for the Star-Attracting Array.

"Very good." A hint of a smile finally appeared on Mage Delin’s face. He turned his head, his gaze piercing through hundreds of kilometers of space, as if he could already see that arrogant, menacing fleet rushing toward them.

"Everyone!" the elder mage’s voice echoed in everyone’s ears, amplified by a Magic spell. "All mages, enter your designated nodes!

"Star-Attracting Array, preheat your energy!

"Target, the Light Holy See Fleet!

"Prepare..."

He slowly raised his hand. The Magic Elements across the entirety of Cliff Horn began to riot, and the wind and clouds in the sky changed color.

"...to welcome the stars!"

As Mage Delin’s final syllable fell, he suddenly clenched his raised hand into a fist!

BOOM!

All of Cliff Horn—this massive Star-Attracting Array—was activated at this very moment!

Thousands of mages opened their eyes in unison, pouring their Spiritual Power and Magic Power without reservation into the array beneath their feet.

HUM!

Over three thousand faint lights rose from the positions of every Grand Mage, merging in midair into a surging torrent of energy before finally pouring entirely into the center of the array!

The ten Catastrophe Mages, led by Mage Delin, acted like ten bottomless black holes, frantically devouring this terrifying surge of energy.
