Chapter 473: Chapter 236: The Corpse Transformation Talisman Is Finally Used

A smile that said he had everything under control spread across Wu Kemin’s face. As if savoring a prey’s final struggles, he added leisurely,

"We were going to find a more secluded spot, but I didn’t expect you to walk right into this forest. You’ve saved us quite a bit of trouble."

’They put a tracker on the SUV?’

Yang Qi was taken aback.

He’d assumed someone at the Zoo had been bought off by Jiulian Mountain and was keeping tabs on him. That would explain how they could track his movements so precisely and set up an ambush here ahead of time.

If that were the case, it would mean Jiulian Mountain’s infiltration ran deeper than he had imagined, which would be far more dangerous.

Hearing that it was just a tracker on his car, he was actually relieved.

A tracker, while covert, was ultimately just an external device.

An informant on the inside, on the other hand, would be impossible to guard against.

With Yang Qi’s cultivation at the Qi Cultivation Sixth Layer, his five senses were far superior to those of an ordinary person. If someone had been tailing and monitoring him at close range for an extended period, he would have noticed long ago.

The fact that he hadn’t noticed meant one of two things: either his pursuers’ methods were exceptionally sophisticated, or they weren’t relying on human surveillance.

’So the problem was the car.’

"Thank you for the information."

Yang Qi nodded, his tone calm, as if he were thanking the man for clearing up some trivial matter.

The instant he finished speaking, his figure blurred!

He instantly activated the *Spirit Crane Body Technique* to its absolute limit.

Leaving only a nearly invisible afterimage, his real body vanished from where he stood.

Wu Kemin’s pupils contracted violently!

He could barely even see how Yang Qi had moved.

’So fast!’

’This was by no means the speed an ordinary zookeeper should possess.’

Alarm bells screamed in his mind, and he instinctively went to pull the trigger.

Yet, in the instant his finger was about to squeeze, a powerful, invisible force slammed into the wrist of his gun hand.

It wasn’t just Wu Kemin’s gun; the guns in the hands of his two companions were simultaneously seized by this same unseen force, which wrenched and twisted them violently!

*Small Transport Technique*!

"CRACK!" "CRACK!" "CRACK!"

Three sounds, like joints being dislocated, rang out almost in unison.

Wu Kemin felt a sharp pain shoot through his right wrist. His fingers went numb, and the handgun flew from his grasp.

The two trained gunmen behind him suffered the exact same fate. They felt an immense force strike them, making it impossible to hold on, and their handguns were likewise torn from their hands.

As if pulled by invisible strings, the three handguns traced three parabolas through the air before landing with a series of soft thuds in a dense thicket seven or eight meters away.

All of this happened in the blink of an eye.

From the moment Yang Qi moved to the instant the three guns were snatched and discarded, barely a second had passed!

Wu Kemin and his two men hadn’t even had time to react to the pain in their wrists or the loss of their weapons—

"PFFT! PFFT!"

Two more faint sounds, like something piercing leather.

While casting the *Small Transport Technique*, Yang Qi’s left hand had already formed a seal. Two faint, golden rays of light, as fine as strands of hair and as swift as lightning, shot from his fingertips. Moving at a speed the naked eye could not follow, they shot with perfect accuracy toward the spot between the eyebrows of the two men behind Wu Kemin, who were still stunned by the loss of their weapons!

*Geng Metal Sword Pointing*!

The Geng Metal Qi was incomparably sharp.

Even though Yang Qi’s cultivation was still shallow and the power of his *Geng Metal Sword Pointing* was limited, it was more than enough to deal with defenseless mortals when aimed at the vital point between their eyes.

The two men didn’t even feel any pain—just a faint coolness between their brows before their vision went black. Their consciousness, like a snuffed candle flame, was abruptly extinguished.

Their faces still held expressions of shock and confusion. Their bodies swayed, and then, with two heavy THUDS, they fell stiffly backward, landing hard on the leaf-strewn ground, silent forever.

From start to finish, neither had managed to let out so much as a muffled grunt.

Wu Kemin had just doubled over from the pain and the loss of his weapon when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw his two subordinates collapse without a sound. He caught a glimpse of the tiny, yet horrifying, red dots between their eyebrows.

He froze completely.

It felt as if his blood had frozen solid in that instant. A chill unlike any he had ever known, one that seemed to spring from the very depths of his soul, shot up from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.

He looked down at his empty, throbbing right hand, then raised his head to look at Yang Qi, who had reappeared a short distance in front of him, his expression as placid as ever.

Wu Kemin’s body began to tremble violently, uncontrollably. His teeth chattered, and his eyes filled with terror, horror, and utter disbelief.

"You... you... what are you?"

Wu Kemin’s voice was shrill and trembling, cracking as he shrieked, "No! Are... are you a man or a ghost?!"

’In the span of a single breath, he’d snatched three guns from thin air.’

’With a flick of his fingers, he’d killed two well-trained, highly skilled operatives.’

’And he did it in a way that was completely unheard of, something I’ve never seen before!’

’This was completely beyond his comprehension.’

’This wasn’t something a human being was capable of!’

The organization’s prior investigation had only shown that Yang Qi could communicate with animals, was a decent fighter, and knew some special techniques for animal taming or psychological suggestion.

That was why they had dispatched three armed, core operatives for this mission. They thought they were taking it seriously enough—that it was even overkill, like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

But now, Wu Kemin understood just how ridiculously wrong they had been.

They hadn’t even begun to scratch the surface of what this young man was capable of...

No, they weren’t even qualified to try.

’This was a monster wearing human skin!’

"What’s your rank in Jiulian Mountain?"

Yang Qi ignored his terror. His voice was flat and calm, as if he had just swatted a pair of flies.

"Tell me the entire structure of the Jiulian Mountain organization—a list of all high-level members, their identities, their hideouts. Tell me, and I’ll give you a quick death."
