Chapter 2482: Chapter 2385: Didn’t Hit Hard Enough
The middle-aged man’s expression instantly darkened upon hearing this. His eyes swept over to Wu Jun with a sinister gaze, landing on the tea trees carelessly thrown at Wu Jun’s feet, making his expression even more tense. He coldly asked:
"Did you do this?"
Wu Jun’s mouth curled slightly as he replied casually, "So what if I did?"
He then turned his head towards the security team leader:
"You hid all this time, just to gather a bunch of rabble? I remember telling you to bring that Boss De over here because I have something to ask him. Clearly, you didn’t listen, right?"
Before the security team leader could speak, Brother Hao, who felt ignored, had already turned completely cold:
"You think you can just meet Brother De whenever you want? Kid, what’s your name, what street do you belong to, and why are you causing trouble here?"
Wu Jun nonchalantly glanced at Brother Hao:
"Who do you think you are? Do you think you’re worthy of knowing my name? If you don’t want things to escalate, be sensible and bring your leader here. Let me put it out there, if your Brother De doesn’t come here to see me, this won’t be settled. You guys can’t handle it!"
Brother Hao sneered. He knew this Xiakan Village’s situation better than anyone. He hadn’t heard of any notable figures coming out of this area.
When they were contracting Yingfeng Ridge for development, it was him who led the team. He had thoroughly investigated everyone in the village — a bunch of uneducated, background-less nobodies, posing no real threat.
This was the reason they dared to blatantly buy and occupy the mountain forest.
It’s not that he looked down on these villagers; they were simply too weak. With just a little intimidation, they cowered like quails, no one daring to resist.
Besides, with Brother De’s background, even if a couple of lives were lost, he could handle it, so they were completely fearless.
As for what Wu Jun had said earlier, to Brother Hao and his men, it was nothing more than a joke.
If this Xiakan Village had such formidable people, they would’ve opposed them years ago when they came to excavate and build the tea garden, not waiting until now.
So Brother Hao didn’t take Wu Jun’s words to heart. After laughing heartily for a few moments, he quickly turned stern, his face bleak, glaring at Wu Jun, and said viciously:
"You refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit, huh? I see you won’t cry until you see the coffin. Old Snake, teach him a lesson. Don’t kill him, let’s play slowly!"
"Got it!"
Just then, behind the tattooed man, a thirty-something thug suddenly emerged, holding an iron rod, rushing straight at Wu Jun.
Wu Jun didn’t dodge. He went straight up to him, grabbing the thug’s wrist holding the iron rod with one hand, while punching his shoulder with the other.
With just one punch, the thug instantly felt his entire arm go numb, uncontrollably letting go.
The iron rod fell to the ground, and the thug’s face turned pale.
Wu Jun lightly shook him, causing the thug to stumble back several steps before sitting on the ground, his arm hanging limp.
Piercing pain radiated from his elbow joint, so intense that he couldn’t help but wail, rolling on the ground, cold sweat instantly bursting out.
Seeing this, Brother Hao’s expression changed drastically. He angrily looked at Wu Jun:
"What did you do?!"
The thug wailing on the ground realized his arm was dislocated, with a chance of bone fracture — it couldn’t hurt so much otherwise.
On one hand, he was terrified by Wu Jun’s fighting prowess, eliminated with just one move, while on the other, he was deeply resentful of Wu Jun, shouting to Brother Hao:
"Brother Hao, my arm’s been broken by him. This kid knows some fighting tricks; we can’t just let him go, or we’ll be laughed at when we go out, and how will Brother De save face?"
The thug feared Brother Hao might let Wu Jun off due to his combat skills, rendering his suffering in vain, so he eagerly stirred and exaggerated in his words.
As expected, upon hearing the thug, Brother Hao’s expression, which initially showed some fear towards Wu Jun, instantly became resolute, looking at Wu Jun with a complex expression.
Having spent years traveling with Huo Sining, Wu Jun had encountered all sorts of people. With one glance, he saw through the thug’s intentions.
He chuckled softly, casting a sidelong glance at the thug:
"You’ve got a broken arm and still causing trouble? Seems like I didn’t hit hard enough just now!"
Upon hearing this, the thug’s face turned ashen, looking at Wu Jun with fear, lips tightly sealed, not daring to speak another word.
Seeing Wu Jun so bold, daring to threaten his subordinates right in front of him, Brother Hao felt humiliated and snorted coldly, saying:
"Kid, I don’t recognize you; you’re not from this village, are you? I advise you to stay low, be obedient, or you’ll get into trouble!"
Wu Jun heard this and couldn’t help but show a teasing smile, leisurely folding his arms and looking at Brother Hao:
"Oh, obedient, how should I be obedient?"
Huo Sining, meanwhile, took on a spectator’s role, standing aside, excitedly watching Wu Jun’s unfolding drama.
Someone who could take down multiple drug lords bare-handed wouldn’t be mediocre, especially since Huo Sining had personally seen Gu Xu challenge a troop of reconnaissance soldiers — taking on ten of them alone was not an issue.
Wu Jun was trained by Gu Xu; even if he’s not Gu Xu’s equal, he can’t be far off. Tackling six or seven is certainly achievable, and since these thugs are just rabble, they would naturally lack the soldiers’ combat strength. So, even if Brother Hao brought in twenty-something men, they’d still appear as losers to Wu Jun, leaving him utterly unfazed, teasing this little thug leader instead.
But Brother Hao couldn’t discern the mockery in Wu Jun’s words, thinking Wu Jun was intimidated, raising his head proudly and saying:
"Kid, it’s not that I want to make things difficult for you, but you came to Brother De’s territory blind."
"If you don’t want to be found dead in the wild tomorrow, come back with us obediently, waiting for our orders. If you offend Brother De, there won’t be any good outcome for you!"
Wu Jun feigned surprise, nodding slightly, pretending to wonder:
"So, this Brother De you mentioned is really that powerful? What’s he do?"
