After a full night’s rest, Fang Xiu stretched his back.

He looked around. Kajimi wasn’t there, and Li Mu hadn’t come looking for him either.

’Looks like she’s given up on finding me!’

He then got up and walked toward the door.

"Master, you’re awake!"

When Fang Xiu pushed open the door, Kajimi was already standing outside.

"Morning. Did Li Mu come looking for me?"

Kajimi shook her head. "It seems she left last night."

Fang Xiu, who had been wondering why Li Mu hadn’t come to find him, was suddenly taken by surprise.

"Last night, I sensed someone at the entrance to this world. I went to check it out and saw it was her, leaving."

Kajimi said to Fang Xiu, "Do you think she ran off and left us here?"

"Into your room?"

A mischievous grin spread across Zhao Yao’s face. "You’d better be careful, or I’ll tell Chu Qingxue!"

"Huh? What does this have to do with Chu Qingxue?"

’This thing with Li Mu has something to do with Chu Qingxue?’

"It doesn’t?"

Zhao Yao asked meaningfully, but didn’t elaborate.

"Fang Xiu, you’re here early?"

Inside the villa, Yue Tianrui also greeted Fang Xiu when he saw him.

"Is there a reason you’re here so early?"

Yue Tianrui knew Fang Xiu wasn’t one for idle visits; coming this early definitely meant something was up.

"He’s here looking for Li Mu!"

Zhao Yao said.

He then explained what had happened, including Li Mu’s attempt to move into Fang Xiu’s room.

"Hm? That happened? I’ll give her a call!"

After a moment’s thought, Yue Tianrui called Li Mu directly.

Fang Xiu could have called her himself, but he’d assumed Principal Yue and Zhao Yao already knew what was going on.

Soon, the call connected.

Li Mu’s weary voice came through the phone. "Hello, Principal Yue. Something’s come up on my end that needs immediate attention. I’ll have to trouble you with Fang Xiu’s safety!"

And with that, she hung up.

BEEP BEEP BEEP...

Listening to the dial tone, all three of them furrowed their brows.

"Did something happen?"

Even though he had heard the call, Fang Xiu still asked.

"It’s possible. The Awakening Hall is busy year-round, and as the Vice Hall Master, it’s normal for Li Mu to have urgent matters to attend to."

Zhao Yao said slowly, "From now on, you’ll stick with us. Demon Beasts show up here from time to time, but there’s no need to worry. If we run into something we can’t handle, we just run!"

"But if a Demon Beast Realm appears," Yue Tianrui added, "promise me you’ll run immediately. Got it?"

Zhao Yao added.
