Isekai: I Have A Gacha System!

Chapter 83: You’d Better Not Let Me Catch You

Chapter 83: Chapter 83: You’d Better Not Let Me Catch You

"Gai Farrell..."

Xianna’s heart raced, her expression complex.

She looked at the young man before her, unsure if she should trust him. But right now, there was no one else worthy of her trust.

Besides, the young man’s words had truly moved her, sparking a glimmer of hope in her heart.

"So, those rumors about you... they’re all false, right?" the Queen asked hesitantly.

Wang Xi lowered his gaze and said calmly,

"I believe you already have the answer in your heart."

Xianna fell silent.

’A cruel and bloodthirsty Warlock would never willingly take such a huge risk to sneak into the Royal Palace just to pass me intelligence and expose Calvin’s true nature...’

’But if what he said is true, then this young man named Gai is indeed helping me, and by extension, saving the countless people of Daphne.’

"Alright." Xianna took a deep breath and nodded. "I believe you."

Only then did Wang Xi take the Queen’s hand and perform a symbolic hand-kiss.

"Thank you for your trust, Your Majesty."

"So, Mr. Gai, what do you plan to do next?"

Xianna asked.

Wang Xi stood up, just about to speak.

WHOOSH—

A sudden gust of wind blew in from the window, rustling the white gauze curtains.

The two turned to look and saw a black-haired boy floating in mid-air outside the window, his hands spread open with his fingers pointing down.

Blue flames spewed from his palms, seemingly propelling him up to the fifth floor of the tower.

With a heave-ho, the boy flipped into the room.

"?!"

The Queen shot to her feet, hiding behind Wang Xi and glaring angrily.

’This is the third time tonight!’

’Is there no end to this?!’

"Your Majesty, allow me to introduce you."

Wang Xi smiled and gestured with his hand.

"This is my sworn younger brother, Pinocchio. He’s from the Clockwork Kingdom across the sea. His father, Mr. Gepetto, is the chief engineer there."

"Oh, and Calvin was his father’s student. The technology he stole came from there as well."

Hearing this, Xianna looked on with shock and suspicion.

"Hello, Your Majesty."

Pinocchio scratched his head shyly, took a step forward, and extended his hand with a grin.

"I’m very handsome, but don’t worry, I won’t mess around with your maids."

"..."

Both Wang Xi and the Queen were stunned.

Xianna’s expression was strange.

She looked at Wang Xi, as if asking with her eyes, ’Is there something wrong with your brother’s head?’

"Ha." Wang Xi gave an awkward laugh. "Pinocchio is naive and doesn’t know much about the world. He often spouts strange nonsense. I hope Your Majesty can forgive him."

As he spoke, he walked over to Pinocchio, pressed his outstretched hand to his chest, and then gently guided the back of the boy’s head down into a slight bow.

He was helping him perform a more proper bow.

"I’m sorry for my rudeness."

Pinocchio realized he had said the wrong thing and looked embarrassed.

He remembered Gai’s lesson about being a noble person, so he quickly tried to remedy the situation with a compliment.

"You truly are a queen! Your chest is really big!"

He even started clapping as he said it.

"..."

Wang Xi and Xianna fell silent at the same time.

But just as the Queen was about to fly into a rage, a flurry of urgent footsteps echoed from outside the door. THUMP, THUMP, THUMP.

CRASH—

With a loud bang, the door was smashed open.

Calvin’s figure appeared in the doorway, his leg still raised in a kicking motion. Following closely behind him were two tall combat-type Mechanical Dolls.

Calvin stared at the three people in the room, his expression a fascinating, detestable sight.

He had just gone downstairs but hadn’t seen the three Warlocks who were supposed to be guarding the hall. After asking the Guards outside, he learned of another strange occurrence.

Minister Ando had apparently brought two strange men into the Queen’s Tower, claiming they were there at his summons.

But he had issued no such summons.

Calvin immediately realized something was wrong.

So he turned back, rushed upstairs to the Queen’s chambers on the top floor, and burst in on this scene...

’Just as I feared, my territory is being invaded.’

The Queen he had been patiently waiting on for two and a half years had been conquered by someone else in two and a half minutes.

The reason such a thought entered Calvin’s mind was simple... The two men were dressed luxuriously, carried themselves with a noble air, and were both young and handsome.

They even made him feel ashamed of his own appearance.

Calvin’s heart burned with rage.

’Xianna, you whore! How dare you betray me!’

But then his gaze shifted, he got a better look, and he froze on the spot. The ferocious expression born from his anger instantly morphed into terror.

"Pi... Pinocchio?!"

Calvin’s voice was shrill.

"What are you doing here?!"

He was terrified.

’My teacher must have sent someone to capture me...’

He knew full well that he had stolen priceless research data and fled across the ocean to get here. If he were caught, his fate would be absolutely miserable.

Calvin broke out in a cold sweat.

"Guards!"

Xianna shouted without hesitation, her voice cold.

THUMP THUMP THUMP!

Another set of rapid footsteps approached from the hallway outside. It was the four armored guards stationed at the stairwell.

They had heard Her Majesty the Queen’s call and rushed over.

But before they could even ask what was happening, they were met with the merciless slaughter of the two armored Mechanical Dolls following Prince Calvin!

SHING—

The two Mechanical Dolls simultaneously drew the greatswords from their backs and swung them violently. Their heavy armor scraped loudly with the lightning-fast movements, producing a dull clanging sound.

Gleams of cold light left afterimages, accompanied by a sharp whistle.

SQUELCH!

SQUELCH!!

Four fresh heads flew and rolled across the floor.

The Guards’ expressions were still frozen in the final moment of shock as their bodies were separated from their heads. Blood sprayed, and their headless torsos collapsed in the hallway with a thud.

"?!"

The Queen’s pupils contracted violently.

She hadn’t expected Calvin to be so deranged as to cut down her own Guards right in front of her.

"Number 1, Number 2."

Calvin’s eyes were vicious as he gave the order in a low voice.

"Kill those two men! And restrain Queen Xianna for me!"

Clearly, seeing the situation was not in his favor, he decided to strike first and use brute force.

BZZZT—

The two Humanoid Dolls held their blood-soaked greatswords, and two beams of red light shone from beneath the cross-shaped slits of their Dog-Faced Helmets.

"Yes, Master."

An emotionless, mechanical voice emanated from within.

They took heavy steps in unison, entering the room with a thudding sound.

Wang Xi glanced up.

[γ Combat-Type Doll·Guard (Crimson/Four Stars)]

These were two Humanoid Dolls with the combat power of Four Stars!

They were also the strongest Mechanical Dolls Wang Xi had seen so far. They were two tiers stronger than the "δ Combat-Type Doll·Shark" from the Professional Warrior assessment in the Main World.

Moreover, they were clad in heavy armor and wielding thick-backed greatswords—armed to the teeth.

"Your Majesty, please step back."

Wang Xi turned his head slightly and said softly to the Queen behind him.

Xianna nodded and silently retreated to the window.

A Flat-Headed Beheading Sword appeared out of thin air in the young man’s hand. Its astonishing size was in no way inferior to the Mechanical Dolls’ greatswords.

This couldn’t help but startle Queen Xianna.

’So the rumors really are false...’

’Otherwise, why would Mr. Gai, a Warlock, use such a crude Beheading Sword as his weapon?’

"One each?"

Wang Xi asked Pinocchio.

The boy turned his head and flashed a brilliant smile.

"No problem!"

CLANG—

One of the dolls attacked with its Dual-Wielded Greatsword, bringing it down in a vertical chop toward Wang Xi.

The greatsword became a blurry afterimage, letting out a whistling sound as it fell.

CLANG!!

Wang Xi slid to the side, his Beheading Sword moving to parry and deflect the doll’s strike, redirecting its force.

Amid a shower of sparks, his right heel slammed down with a THUD, shattering the carpet and the wooden floorboards beneath, creating a web of cracks.

’The strength of this Mechanical Doll is far greater than I imagined,’ he thought. ’Even with my current Physique, I’m slightly outmatched.’

CLANG CLANG CLANG!!

The Mechanical Doll retracted its sword and struck again, but Wang Xi parried with precision and ease. Both sides exchanged powerful, heavy blows, their swings leaving afterimages and terrifying whistles in the air.

Wang Xi ducked low, dodging a horizontal sweep.

He gripped his sword hilt with both hands, seized the opportunity to reverse his grip, and swung it upward in a diagonal slash. The Beheading Sword traced a silvery-gray arc—

CLANG!!

The strike broke through the armor under the doll’s ribs and struck its metal body, producing a sharp, ringing sound.

Feeling the numbing sensation in the webbing between his thumbs and forefingers, Wang Xi gained a new appreciation for the doll’s durability.

BOOM!!

Just then, a tremendous noise erupted from the side.

Wood splinters and shattered stone exploded outward. Dust filled the air, and a chaotic series of CRACKS and POPS filled the air.

A large hole had been blown through the wall. It was the result of a single heavy punch from Pinocchio, which had sent the other Mechanical Doll flying out of the room.

"Pinocchio... He truly is a Mechanical Doll created by the Teacher’s own hands!"

Calvin, who had been observing from the doorway, paled slightly. He clenched his fists, knowing his plan to use force was no longer viable.

Even his two most precious γ-type Guards couldn’t handle them. He had to retreat for now.

Calvin snorted coldly.

He made a split-second decision and turned to run.

Seeing this, Wang Xi was about to pull out his "Chekhov’s Gun" to take a shot, but Calvin had already disappeared around the corner.

’He’s fast!’

’Calvin, you better hope I don’t catch you, or you’re in for a world of hurt!’

This was clearly a good opportunity to capture him, but the Four-Star Doll was still blocking the way. He had to end this fight as quickly as possible to give chase.

SWOOSH—

Wang Xi dodged back, creating several meters of distance.

He then whipped out a black, box-like Laser Pistol and pulled the trigger.

"Avada Kedavra!"

PEW PEW PEW PEW!

Flashes of red laser struck the Guard Doll, making PING PING sounds.

The armor was easily pierced, leaving behind holes with reddish edges. But the doll’s main body seemed exceptionally tough; it took several hits without much reaction and even continued to raise its greatsword to chop at Wang Xi.

Wang Xi dodged left and right, secretly impressed.

He fired several more shots at the doll’s Dog-Faced Helmet. Red light streaked through the air, followed by a few PINGs.

The faceplate of the Dog-Faced Helmet was pierced, vaguely revealing a creepy face with a stiff, fake smile underneath.

The bionic doll’s face had been melted in several places by the laser, looking like dripping, sticky wax, twisted and hideous.

’It seems the Laser Pistol isn’t very effective against a Mechanical Doll of this level...’

Wang Xi thought to himself.

He flicked his hand, and a splash of water appeared.

—Lord of Sugar Water—

He was no longer the man he used to be.

Now...

he was a true Water-Spraying Warlock!

With a sharp WHOOSH.

An arrow-shaped stream of water shot out in a fluctuating curve, passed through the pierced faceplate, and struck the Humanoid Doll right in its melted eye socket.

SNAP!

Wang Xi snapped his fingers.

"Explode."

KRA-KOW—

The Mechanical Doll’s head instantly exploded like a sea urchin!
