Chapter 392: Chapter 350: Junior Brother... Broke Through Again?
Granted, they held no advantage in the fields of talismans and medicinal pills.
This was especially true for the discipline of talisman creation, an area only the Asia Alliance and Sakura Alliance had dabbled in.
But compared to Dragon Tiger Mountain University, their knowledge was superficial at best.
In medicine, however, they could still put up a fight.
But none of that mattered. A Martial Arts exchange was all that was needed.
Their purpose in coming to the Huawu Alliance was, after all, centered on Martial Arts.
The representatives from the Outer Alliances exchanged a glance and followed the others outside.
When they arrived on the stadium’s main floor,
they saw their respective students already in a tense standoff.
The air had been thick with tension from the moment they met.
If not for the members of the Town Martial Department and the Demon Hunting Bureau keeping things under control,
the exchange would have been skipped entirely in favor of an all-out brawl...
Old He walked to the presiding platform and sat down.
Director Qiao of Xingwu University, Zhong Yan of Dragon Tiger Mountain University, and Yanyang of the Martial Alliance University,
all took their seats to Old He’s left and right.
As for Meng Die and Yang Biao,
they had already slipped away when Old He led the other representatives out of the lounge.
The two of them had a more important mission...
The rest of the attendees sat on either side of the platform.
"Shall we begin with the medical exchange?"
Old He mused for a moment.
He then turned toward Professor Shi Wenxue of Lanshan University.
The words had barely left his lips when the representatives from the Outer Alliances on the other side all furrowed their brows.
They huddled together and conferred for a moment.
Then, the representative from the Maple Alliance stepped forward.
The professor from Lanshan glanced at them, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly.
He walked directly over to the Lanshan University students and began speaking with them.
A short while later, student representatives from both sides took to the stage.
An intense academic debate ensued...
「Dragon Tiger Mountain, inside the barrier.」
A boundless pressure instantly descended upon all of Dragon Tiger Mountain.
From the university students to the Little Daoists on the mountain,
to Second Senior Brother, Third Senior Brother, and even Little Senior Sister guarding outside the barrier—
everyone was profoundly shaken by this pressure.
Fortunately, it didn’t last long—only for a dozen or so seconds.
Then the pressure vanished completely, as if nothing had ever happened.
However, some of the students with lower cultivation realms
were left terrified by that inexplicable pressure.
Some with weaker constitutions even collapsed to the ground, their legs giving out.
In the worst cases, some were bleeding from their noses and mouths, dazed and disoriented.
Second Senior Brother rushed out of his office.
He made his way downstairs, and upon seeing the students’ condition, he couldn’t help but look up toward the mountain peak.
Suddenly, his phone rang.
"Hello?" Second Senior Brother answered, his voice low.
"Senior Brother, did you feel that pressure just now?"
Third Senior Brother asked hurriedly.
His voice was still trembling with shock.
Second Senior Brother nodded. "Yes, I felt it. What in the world was that?"
"I-I don’t know! Could it be a powerful demon? Or maybe some grandmaster has come to Dragon Tiger Mountain?" Third Senior Brother stammered.
Hearing this, Second Senior Brother shook his head. "I don’t think so. That pressure carried no malice."
"Go to the barrier right now. See if the pressure leaked from there!"
"The barrier? You don’t think it’s Little Junior Brother? Right, I’m on my way!"
After hanging up, Second Senior Brother glanced up at the mountain once more.
Then, he called for the university’s medical staff.
He told them to check on the students and see if there were any serious injuries.
Meanwhile, he made a beeline for the elevator.
Outside the barrier, the scene was even more dire.
Little Senior Sister and the Little Daoists guarding the area with her
were all sprawled on the ground in terror.
Little Senior Sister was the only one relatively unscathed, having used her realm’s power to resist the pressure.
Her heart was still pounding in fear,
but at least she wasn’t completely overwhelmed by the pressure like the other Little Daoists.
Their legs had gone completely limp, refusing to obey them.
This was the scene Third Senior Brother found when he arrived.
Seeing the situation, he rushed forward. "Junior Sister, are you alright?"
"Third Senior Brother, I’m fine, nothing serious. That terrifying pressure just now seemed to leak out from inside the barrier!"
"Could it be... Little Junior Brother... broke through again?"
"What? Little Junior Brother broke through again?"
Third Senior Brother stared at the barrier, his face a mask of shock.
Neither of them wanted to believe it,
but how else could they explain that pressure? It was too terrifying.
It had only lasted for about ten seconds, yet it had sent their hearts racing and thrown their Qi and Blood into chaos.
Their higher realms allowed them to barely resist it,
but the other Little Daoists were all left with their legs turning to jelly.
If Lin Yi hadn’t broken through again, how could they explain that pressure?
"If Little Junior Brother really did break through again, his talent for Martial Arts is... simply terrifying!"
"It’s been less than half a year since he went from the Star Tempering Realm to the Divine Abyss Realm!"
’A level that others might spend their entire lives trying to reach, and he did it in just a few months?’
’It’s just unbelievable!’
Third Senior Brother’s expression was grave.
This was beyond envy.
A talent for Martial Arts like this wasn’t something one could even aspire to envy.
Little Senior Sister nodded. "Little Junior Brother’s talent is terrifying!"
"He reached the Divine Abyss Realm this quickly... Does this mean he’ll be able to step into the Heart Communication Realm in another year?"
"Will his achievements surpass even Master’s?"
Neither of them spoke again, a look of shared horror passing between their eyes.
’If he continues to develop at this rate, won’t Lin Yi become the number one figure in the entire Huawu Alliance?’
Just as they were staring at the barrier,
it suddenly began to change.
The originally calm void began to ripple,
as if a stone had been tossed into a placid pond.
The surface was instantly disturbed, with ripples spreading outward in all directions.
SCREEE—
The next moment,
another immense wave of pressure washed over them,
accompanied by a fierce gust of wind that forced Third Senior Brother and Little Senior Sister to raise their arms to shield themselves.
Then, a massive, seven-colored bird burst through the barrier.
It soared into the blue sky, appearing utterly jubilant.
The pressure from this great bird alone was enough to make their hearts pound wildly.
And just as they were tilting their heads back to stare at the great bird,
the barrier rippled once more, and a figure quietly walked out from within.
Although he wore a faint smile,
the aura radiating from him seemed to churn the very air around him.
Lin Yi approached them and quickly bowed. "Third Senior Brother, Little Senior Sister, I trust you’ve been well!"
After a long moment, Third Senior Brother looked Lin Yi up and down.
Although he couldn’t see any outward difference, Lin Yi’s entire aura had changed significantly.
This brought Little Senior Sister’s earlier guess to his mind.
He hurried closer, scrutinizing Lin Yi carefully.
He fought to suppress his inner excitement and elation, but he couldn’t keep the corners of his mouth from breaking into a massive, uncontrollable grin.
Then, his voice a mix of awe and disbelief, he asked, "Little Junior Brother, tell me the truth. Did you... break through again?"
