The Entry-plundering Demon Hunter

Chapter 466 - 390: Yangtou City 3

Chapter 466: Chapter 390: Yangtou City 3

Three cars headed straight for Yangtou City.

But just as they were about to enter the city, a group of about twenty to thirty people appeared up ahead.

A giant log lay across the middle of the road, wrapped in coils of barbed wire.

The men stood at either end of the giant log.

They wore no uniforms, nor did they have any sort of matching attire.

They were simply a ragtag bunch.

Seeing this, Ah Jiu quickly turned and said, "Lord General..."

Lin Yi nodded. "They’re probably just some gang members, blocking the road for money."

"Go out and see what they want. If we can solve this with money, there’s no need to start a fight."

At his words, Ah Jiu nodded and opened the car door.

He then got out and walked over to the group ahead.

Lin Yi sat inside the car, watching Ah Jiu begin to negotiate with them.

The seconds ticked by.

After more than ten minutes of negotiation, they still weren’t allowed to pass.

Furthermore, Lin Yi noticed the surrounding gang members were slowly closing in on Ah Jiu.

Lin Yi sighed softly and gave the driver in front a look.

Taking the hint, the driver opened his door and got out.

Then, the doors of the other two cars also opened in succession.

Over a dozen members of the Right Guard stepped out, all heading toward Ah Jiu.

When the gang members saw so many more people appear, their brows furrowed deeply.

Only then was Ah Jiu able to break away and walk back to Lin Yi.

"Lord General, they want to inspect our vehicles!"

"Inspect our vehicles? Why?"

Lin Yi was puzzled.

Ah Jiu replied quickly, "I’m not sure. It might be because our license plates are from out of town."

"They didn’t give any reason. They just said they want to inspect the vehicles."

Lin Yi nodded, a cold glint in his eyes.

He then opened the car door and stepped out.

When he reached the men, Lin Yi sized them up.

He smiled and said, "You fellas have had a long day. We’re from out of town, just looking for a few people."

"Think you could do us a favor and let us through?"

As he spoke, Lin Yi offered them a wad of cash.

However, the gang members merely glanced down at it with contempt.

The leader, a bald man, walked over while rubbing his head.

"Buddy, you pull out this little bit of cash, you trying to shoo away a beggar?"

"I already told your friend there. Let us inspect your vehicles, and we’ll let you pass."

"That way, there’s no trouble for us, and you can get through quickly. It’s a win-win, isn’t it?"

The bald man finished with a light chuckle.

Lin Yi looked up at him. "Fine, you can inspect the cars. But you have to at least give me a reason."

"Inspecting our cars for no reason at all... is that proper procedure?"

"HAHAHA..."

Instantly, the bald man and the gang members behind him all burst into loud laughter.

It was as if they were mocking Lin Yi for his naivete.

After a long moment, once the laughter finally subsided, the bald man’s eyes widened. He glared at Lin Yi and snarled, "Rules? What bullshit rules?"

"Whatever the Crocodile Gang says, *that’s* the rule!"

"Listen, kid. If you want to get through here, you play by our rules!"

"Or else..."

Seeing their brazen arrogance, Lin Yi sighed and shook his head. "Ah Jiu, make it clean."

"Yes, Lord General!"

Ah Jiu nodded, the corners of his mouth lifting into a cold, contemptuous smirk.

Then, the members of the Right Guard each drew a short blade.

They charged straight at the gang members.
